Great update NB! The Diwali episode of IPKKND shall forever remain special!

I like how your writing flows very easily. I can relate to K's predicament. She is attracted to A but is not sure if her feelings are reciprocated. Even if they are, she realizes that Arnav is not exactly Prince Charming, with his commitment issues and a significant difference in their ages. A is the proverbial 'forbidden fruit'.

NKay is barking up the wrong tree and that too with a lot of force. I understand that he likes K, but he is a bit too persistent, a quality that would definitely turn me off. K is enjoying all the attention because it is all very new to her, but the passion quotient in their relationship is rather bleak. The novelty will soon wear off. K enjoys NK's company, but not in a 'I'm going crazy' sort of a way. It's a bit too placid for 'first love'...isn't it? I feel that K is a bit too self-involved, but then aren't we all?

But I liked the fact that NK didn't take it all lying down. I hope K realizes that she was I little rude to him for no fault of his. It was as if she did not want A to believe that her affections were engaged. It looks quite selfish, but been there, done that😳.

Beautiful penned especially the tribute to the Diwali scene...

Khushi seems to be enjoying being courted..but, at the same time is in a conundrum regarding her feelings - both for NKay and Arnav...the outburst spoke volumes...she is naive and that partial dichotomy between love and attraction baffles her...I really hope she has a heart-to-heart talk with Payal..

NKay is all out to pursue her...maybe he should have taken things slowly, considering the fact that Khushi hasn't been fully reciprocal...then again , those text msgs between the two..may have given him the impression that she is okay with it...it is really convoluted ...But, I empathize with him, he did not deserve to be castigated...

Arnav comprehends it is mere attraction and thank heavens, his self control kicked in at the right moment...his introspection also showed that he is aware of his feelings...

Nevertheless...invoked a tumult of emotions from all the people, concerned...

NB I think you did do justice to the Diwali episode. I liked your version of the poolside scene just as much. You brought out the intensity, the newness in their relationship very well. 👏

Khushi is a confused young woman right now. The fact that she's not had much interaction with the opposite sex is very apparent. NKay is more a man of the world and what is perfectly normal behavior for him is a little overwhelming for her. Unfortunately neither of them knows the other well enough to understand that. Couple that with Khushi's budding attraction for Arnav and the evidence of his own attraction for her...and we have the makings of a major conflagration!!

I know we are always team Khushi and Arnav. We want them together. But in all this I don't want NKay to be heartbroken.

He is such a genuine guy, keeping Khushi's comforts above his feelings.

Ah the Diwali magic...I lost my train of thoughts. Upar se you put up that vidoe...hum to kho gaye :P

You recreated the magic very well and I loved the ArHi bit to bits :D

Arnav had a good presence of mind as he quickly changed the 'topic' and directed the 'conversation' to NKay and Khushi.

NKay was right. Khushi is unsure about what transpired between Arnav and her and she is displacing her anger.

I liked that Arnav realizes that Khushi is not to be messed with and looks for some other woman to get his frustration out.

I hope Khushi speaks to Payal. Her experience can be of some help to Khushi.

The diwali scene was beautiful. Reminded me of the diwali episode. NKay is infor it. Poor guy! When Arnav is around, he doesn't stand a chance. Arnav seems likea shallow character for the moment. Thingsmight change in the future. The problem is that guys like him are more attractive to young girls and this is why they land up in trouble.

Hmm..

This update made me think...a lot.

Anyway, first things first, Diwali is back, and how!

Just love you for that!

Poolside+sheer red saree+lamps+hip belt= faint n thud.

The pull, the attraction was palpable there, great job with that!

I'll be honest here, I don't think I like Nkay too much at the moment. He seems too sweet, if there is such a thing . Too good to be true, perhaps?

Having said that, I'm not sure I liked the way Khushi reacted to his appearance by the poolside. I do get the fact that she is new to all this, and what just happened with Arnav has thrown her for a loop, but I did feel like she was just a teeny-tiny bit insensitive towards Nkay.

In the last update, I didn't quite get Arnav's character , but in this one I understand him much better . So is he going to sleep with this Ameen now?

And one more thing, I loved the flow of this chapter, I think it was very well written, even if you were half-asleep while writing it !

Aahh!! This brought back magic of Diwali episode!!! Khushi lighting lamps in that red saree is attractive..
So now Arnav is shifting his focus to Ameen from Khushi so as to control his feelings.. Khushi has never forgot his eyes though she is dating NKay at the moment!! She is confused right now may be owing to her new found independence
