"How can this be...,'' Khushi asked, her lips slightly queering under his gaze. He leaned a little more closer, and whispered in his husky voice.

"Fate, that is what this is. I told you we will meet again, and here we are, right in front of each other. All thanks to a show. Life is quite funny, don't you think?,''

His closeness automatically shook Khushi's fingers. Everything around her was starting to spin, thanks to his close presence. Highschool memories were replaying all over again, although this time she felt it has become worse.

"What do you want from me?''

Arnav shrugged, ''I just want you to go on one date with me. I am not asking you to marry me; well not yet anyways. Just one date, and if you enjoyed, you will give me a chance. If not, then I will leave you alone. Either way, you say yes to the date, and Barun gets retained, and I change the PH.''

This was all happening too fast for Khushi's liking, but she thought of her beloved show. To some people it was just a show, yet to her, the show was her distraction. It kept her sane from all her worries. If saving the show meant sacrificing, by saying yes to Arnav, then so be it. Whatever feelings she has for him can be controlled. After all she did it half of her high school years so why not now? She knew saying yes to Arnav was going to give her heart palpitations, but there was no other choice.

"Fine, I will go out with you, on one condition,'' Khushi stated, finding back her confident tone.

Arnav nodded,'' tell me.''

"You cannot try anything, and it has to be a comfortable date.''

A small smile appeared across Arnav's face at her condition. It was lovely to see that nothing has changed in her. Up to this day she was mental, and he loved it. He loved her.

"Deal, I will make everything comfortable for you. I swear, but I have one condition too.''

Khushi glared,'' excuse me, you cannot give me any condition! You already asked me out!"

"I was just going to ask you to wear your hair down, like right now,'' Arnav said, chuckling at her indignant reply.

Blood rushed to Khushi's fair cheek at his condition. Why was he making this so difficult for her? She licked her dry lips, and cleared her throat, to calm her nerves. Her entire body was shaking.

''Fine... but are you going to work on retaining Barun and changing the PH, after our date?'', Khushi asked uncertain.

''No, I am going to work on that now. In fact I am planning to have a meeting tomorrow itself.''

Khushi nodded, ''okay thanks, but why didn't you do that before? You people kept on saying, ''Barun has movie offers, and then you people said, 'the rights are with the PH.' Why lie so much?''

Ashamed, Arnav looked down, and then looked up at her curious expression.

"Because we are business vultures...''

''So if I didn't come you would still be playing these games?''

Arnav sighed at her question. She was really making him guilty right now...

''Khushi it is much more complicated than that..''

''Complicated? HOW IN THE WORLD IS IT COMPLICATED? How can you people play with us fans? Honestly that is disgusting,'' Khushi stated, her voice once again rising again. Anger was flooding back to her system.

He cupped her face gently, ''Khushi I am so sorry okay? I am going to have a press conference soon, and everything will be cleared. There will be a public apology from my side too. I promise. I will make this right, okay?''

'His fingers are touching my cheeks... his fingers.. oh my god...' Khushi's mind began to battle with her. Electricity stung her nerves down, to her toes. Slowly she grasped his hand and dropped it.

"Okay, and could you make sure Sanaya know that we are not fighting just for Barun? She seems to think that we are only fans of Barun, and that the show is running only because of him. She needs to know we would have done the same for her. Could you tell her that?,'' Khushi asked innocently, as Arnav smiled at her dazed.

"Yes, I will tell her that.''

"Good, now I am going, also please tell your security leave me alone as I walk out.''

Arnav laughed, ''I will, and don't forget about our date this Saturday.''

Khushi rolled her eyes, ''I won't, bye''

"WAIT,'' Arnav suddenly said, making her jump slightly.

"What?''

He walked forward and without any hesitation, he dropped a sweet kiss on her, red tinted cheeks.

Khushi's jaw once again dropped at his bold action. Her breath was coming out in gasps, and her heart was beating furiously. Brown eyes made contact, and she saw Arnav slightly smirking again.

"YOU SAID YOU WON'T TRY ANYTHING,'' Khushi yelled in an acussing tone.

Arnav shrugged, ''you said those conditions were for our date. Right now we are not on a date so they don't apply.''

A gasp escaped her lips, ''no wonder you're the chairmen of Star Plus. You're so manipulative!''

''Manipulative? I like to call it being smart sweet heart,'' Arnav stated arrogantly, just to annoy her a bit more.

She huffed, ''smart my ass.''

Mischievous glint appeared in Arnav's eyes as he replied, ''well.. you do have a nice ass.''

Eyes widened, teeth gritted, a loud yell spread throughout the office of Star Plus, getting everyone's attention, as they heard,

"ARNAV SINGH RAZAIDA.''
