And as rey looked at his reflection in the mirror, he remembered all their moments..how they met, how he had been head over heels in love with her since the time he saw her, their cute arguments'he remembered his dil se re dance'he had felt her there'he knew she was there that day'he went closer to the mirror as he saw their dance flashing before him. He touched the mirror lightly with his hand. Swayam patted his shoulder and looked at him questioninly and rey jus shook his head, wiping off a lone tear that had escaped his eyes.

Swayam stood at one corner while rey ran towards him and then slid, letting his body glide there. In a swift he lifted swayam by his legs, while he himself still sat and swyam did a back flip to land on the floor.

Rey did a few popping steps and then he held a rope which hanged from the ceiling. He put his arm around it and the next second, he was twirling around, holding the rope. While doing so, he slowly slid down and as the twirls came to an end he sat down, his knees curved up to his chest and his arms went around his knees.
In the middle of the performance, swayam sat on the floor and began crying hard. Sharon's words from that day kept ringing in his ears, already he had distanced himself from her after shivam's party and now this happened. It was so hard for him to take all that, rey knew. He slowly placed an arm around swayam's shoulder, gave him his other hand and they both danced again, their moves synchronizing as if they were mirror images. Of course they weren't, but they were going through an almost similar phase of their lives.

They jumped in the air in such a way that their bodies were flat when they jumped, face down. As they reached the floor, they landed on their hands and then they turned around lying on their back. They ended their dance thinking about their ladyloves' as tears slowly made their way out of their eyes, this stop neither stopped the other from crying.
His thoughts were disturbed suddenly. "Rey baba aapke liye chhithi aayi thi aaj subah'aap college se aye tabhi main dena bhul gaya" a servant said. Rey nodded not aware of what the he said and the servant placed the envelope on the table next to him.
Rey was again lost in his own world. He fought back his tears' no, he wasn't going to cry anymore' he had to move on'he would try' but he knew that was not possible' his friends had tried everything' they tried all those silly things at RDX sir's wedding, they tried partying but it just wasn't working. It seemed that with Kriya, a part of Rey also was gone. His smile wasn't genuine anymore. He did things just for the sake of his friends' they were after all his pillars of strength' although it was him who had always been their pillar of strength' he needed to talk to someone right now' and he knew to whom... Swayam and Sharon' but they wouldn't talk to each other' would they? They might as well'for Rey's sake' but he couldn't randomly call both of them together'he thought about it for a while and an idea popped in his mind'
He picked up his phone and called swayam first
"Ya Rey" Swayam said as he answered the phone
"Dude I have some work with you and Sharon'tu hold kar main usse conference pe dalta hun'"
"No Rey mujhe usse baat nahi karni"
"Right, I know that'but mujhe tum dono ka kaam hain'so now hold up"
Before Swayam could protest further, Rey put him on hold and called Sharon'
"Hey Rey'what's up?"
"Uhm Sharon' mujhe tumhara aur Swayam ka kuch kaam hain'maine usko hold pe rakha hain'I'll put you up on conference ok?"
"Par Rey..."
He sensed the hesitation in her voice
"Sharon it will take just 2 mins"
"Okay"
"Ya Swayam Sharon is on conference" Rey said happily'
"Hmmm" was all Swayam said'
"Hey Swayam' what's up?" Sharon almost stuttered through those words
"Nothing great" Rey and Sharon could sense his tone was cold
Sharon was not going to give up
"Uhm'Swayam maine tumhe college ke jo events lined up hain unki list mail kar di hain' tum dekh lena" she said it in one breath and waited for his reply'
"Hmm ok" was his reply.
"Guys, main bhi hun yaha' aur vaise bhi phone mere kaam ke liye kiya tha'tum dono ko chit chat karne ke liye nahi" Rey tried to lighten the atmosphere
"Ha Rey kya kaam tha tujhe?" swayam said as if wanting to get over with this conversation as soon as possible
"Ha woh'kal subah 6 baje I want both the teams in college"
"What? Why?" both Swayam and Sharon said at the same time
"I know thoda jaldi ho gaya but guys footloose finals ke liye team weaklings ke rehearsals shuru bhi nahi hue hain'and the 6th dancer'this time we can't take it lightly' "
"but rey why will team dazzlers be there?'" Sharon asked
"props and all the arrangements'we'll need to help them out, right?" he replied
"Ya cool Rey, main meri poori team ko message kar deta hun'where are we meeting?"
"Ek kaam karte hain we'll all meet in the rehearsal hall and then we'll decide where to hold the practice?" Sharon suggested'
There was no reply as rey thought swayam would say but swayam wasn't interested!
"Guys?" Sharon spoke again'
"Ha Sharon cool tum Vicky, Nil, Simi, Rimi ko inform kar do" Rey said breaking the silence
"Swayam? Are you there?" Sharon tried talking to him once more
"hmmm' Rey I'll see you tomorrow at 6" swayam said quickly
"ok and please sabko saath mein yeh bhi bol dena not to be late" rey said again
"ya Rey..achha I'll talk to you later'bye Rey'bye Swayam" she did not expect him to reply
"bye Rey" swayam cut the call quickly' he took a deep breath and tried not to smile
"Sharon are you ok?' Rey must have asked her that question for the millionth time in the past two weeks
"ya Rey" she lied
"ok'take care'I'l see you tomorrow'bye" he smiled.
"ya ok..bye"
Rey was still smiling. Even this pointless conversation with both of them brought a smile on his face. They always made him feel wanted'always made him feel loved'he shrugged off the thoughts that were beginning to crowd his mind and put his phone on the table.
He noticed the envelope there. He picked it up and looked at the front side. It was addressed to him "reyaansh singhania". Suddenly Rey looked at the handwriting on the envelope'he had seen those somewhere. He tried thinking hard where he had seen them. Suddenly his hands started shaking as he realized whose handwriting were those. His face went pale, hoping it was not a dream, or it should have been..he was confused but more importantly He was stunned.

Sharon sank back in her chair as she put her phone down. Never in her life had she imagined that swayam shekhawat would ignore her! It was impossible...but she'd changed him, it was because of her that he behaved like that'she shut her eyes as a tear rolled down her cheek'she remembered that day so well..it was like it had just happened yesterday'it had changed everyone's life...like a total 360 degrees turn
Swayam and Sharon were arguing over some events'what annoyed Sharon was the fact that he had raised his voice at her'hell, he had the guts to do that! Who did he think he was that he could talk to THE Sharon Raiprakash like that? He was'he was something to her'she was confused. Even she did not know when the argument turned into a verbal fight. They were so loud that the members of the two teams came running to the rehearsal hall followed by taani. The rest of the students waited outside as they tried to hear them. Rey stepped forward quickly to stop them
Sharon: how dare you swayam'tumhara itni himmat ki tum mujse is tarah baat kar rahe ho? Remember one thing very clearly Mr swayam Shekhawat..you were, are and will always be a loser'
Rey: enough Sharon!!!
He screamed at her, startling everyone
Sharon: no rey, he should know his position'ek do baar baat kya kar li maine is se'he thinks he can argue with me'
Rey: Sharon, not a word more'I want you out from here right now'
He talked as he placed his arm around swayam. He looked at swayam and saw him struggling to hold back his tears'
Sharon: what the'rey how can you take his side'and that too over me!
Rey: coz he is right Sharon! Sabko pata hain ladne ki koi vajah nahi thi..but you are making an issue out of it'
Sharon's eyes shot up and she glared at rey, who didn't react!
Sharon: what did you say? You'
She was interrupted by someone's voice
Taani: bas bahut ho gaya bha' aapko toh woh kehne mein bhi ghin aati hain mujhe'aapne har baar bhai ka insult kiya aur unhone chupchap suna..aaj bhi kuch nahi bol rahe hain'par ab main aapko unhe aur hurt nahi karne dungi'
Saying so, taani pulled swayam away while rey followed, leaving Sharon standing there wide mouthed'
It was evening. Almost everyone had left from college by now'except for the two teams. The morning outburst had left them shocked. For the first time ever, swayam had stood up for himself and Sharon had insulted him again in front of everyone. No one wanted to even look at her, forget speaking to her. All the 11 people were walking towards the atrium..dance would take their mind of everything'rey kept walking with swayam who was way too lost in his thoughts. They suddenly stopped when they heard a few sounds coming from the rehearsal hall'they proceeded towards it and Sharon too came there from the opposite direction, following the sound. They ignored her and looked inside and were appalled.
Taani was dancing. Was she seriously dancing? They couldn't believe their eyes'she couldn't manage to even balance herself properly. They saw her fall down for the nth time as she failed to do a few steps. She got up slowly and wiped off her tears. She tried doing another step but someone held her hand very strongly. She was scared and turned around to see swayam fuming with anger. Rey quickly stood next to swayam to handle him and the others came in.
Swayam: tum'you can't dance?
He spoke with gritted teeth. Rey tried to stop him but he put his hand forward indicating him to stop.
Neha: swayam, don't getting angry'please
Vishakha: ya dude, take it easy
Swayam: taani..main tumse baat kar raha hun..you can't dance, right!
He shook her up, startling everyone as they had never seen him behave like that!
Vicky: swayam kar kya raha hain tu! Teri behen hain woh'
Amar: alle thoda shanti se baat kal'
Taani sat on the floor and started sobbing while swayam ignored everyone else speaking to him
Swayam: taani..get this straight..right now yeh sab rona dhona kaam nahi ayega'so you better start explaining yourself now! Actually there is no need for explanations'you have'
Rey: swayam stop it'taani why did you do this?
He tried calming the atmosphere'taani looked up at him with bloodshot eyes and spoke
Taani: aapke liye'
There was a simultaneous "What" coming out of everyone's mouth.
Rey: what do you mean?
Taani: pasand karti hun main aapko'isiliye Mumbai aayi..par'par pata chala ki aapke kareeb aana aasan nahi tha'kuch karna chahthi thi..socha dance ka sahara le lun..par main aur dance? Kabhi possible hi nahi hain..maine jhoothi audition ki CD prepare ki..aur socha ki..ki main baad mein dance seekh lungi'par'par'
Before she could continue, she started crying
Swayam: tumhe pata bhi hain tum kya bakwaas kar rahi ho?
His eyes were screaming anger.
Taani: bakwaas nahi bhai, sach'
Swayam: mat bulao mujhe bhai'tumne ek baar bhi nahi socha ki jab sach saamne ayega toh..toh meri image ka kya hoga? And about rey..tumne socha bhi kiase?
Sharon: like brother like sister
She spoke suddenly in an almost mocking tone while everyone else was disgusted at her comment. She was still angry.
Swayam: stay out of this Sharon, it's none of your business
He said sharply and Sharon was angered even more and left. She heard a few people talk inside as she was leaving'
Swayam: and taani get this straight'rey sirf aur sirf kriya se pyaar karta hain'rey'rey'ruk toh'kaha ja raha hain?
Sharon quickly hid herself and saw rey leave the RH teary eyed. Vicky followed him to calm him down.
Swayam: taani..i want you to go home, right now.
Taani too went out and Sharon peeked inside'
Swayam was sitting on the floor with his hands on his head. Rinni, simmi, nil, neha, vishakha, bharat, amar all tried to console him but this time nothing would work.
Swayam: sahi kaha Sharon ne'main humesha se loser hun aur wahi rahunga..apni behen pe..i couldn't even keep a check on her'
Simmi: swayam, tum sharon ki baton ka bura mat mano please!
Rinni: hain..tumhe toh pata hain na uska gussa aisa hi hain
Bharat: abbe woh bomb hain..kabhi bhi fat sakti hain..
Nilesh: yes dude, and we know tu loser nahi hain'tu toh star hain..
Vishakha: kriya ke jaane ke baad tumne hi toh team ko sambhala'
Neha sat next to him and wiped off his tear'
Neha: tum ro mat..you crying, neha also become sad'
And then there were murmurs of everyone asking him not to cry while he sobbed
It was then that Sharon realized how much she'd hurt him'she would apologize she decided'but what she heard next startled her'
Swayam: guys, I am fine'I have made a decision'
Amar: kaisa detision?
Swayam: swayam shekawat, no no wait' kya bulae ho tum mujhe'majnu na? yeah so that majnu is dead..forever'kabhi wapis nahi ayega woh aaj ke baad..from now on you'll se a new swayam..jo kisi ke pichhe nahi bhagne wala'
Saying so, he walked out. And as he'd said, the next few days saw him change completely. He was always into dance and hardly spoke to anyone. His smile had disappeared totally. Taani hadn't come to college since then and even rey seemed to be lost. Sharon apologized to everyone and when she tried speaking to swayam, he ignored her. The guilt was killing her now.
