Hey Friends, 😊 I just had a random idea and thought to pen it down... I am attempting an Ariya SS for the first time after an OS on them, So here it is
Dil De Diya
Prologue
All the girls in the park stared at the handsome devil as he jogged. Sweat making its way down from his temple to his perfectly sculpted face, glistening in the morning sun. He looked hot in his gray tracksuit as he jogged rhythmically. With a smirk on his face and his eyes focused on the path, he deserved a description nothing less than Charming. He stopped at the small tea stall in the corner of the park and ordered his usual cutting chai. He paid for the chai, took the plastic cup and started to walk back. He walked looking around the park when he collided with someone and the chai spilled out of the cup.
'Eew... kitna tacky hai. Ab mujhe isse dhona padega' the little girl said in annoyance looking at her frock. He looked amused at the small girl with whom he had collided and his chai spilled on her dress. She was a cute little girl with American features around 5 to 6 years old. But even though she looks American, her Hindi is very good! Arjun thought. He smiled as her words reminded him of someone. Riya. She was a complete hygiene freak! She had cleaned the glass of water with her handkerchief before drinking from it. He smiled at the memory. He again looked at the little girl looking at her frock with an irritated expression on her face. He bent down and sat before her.
'I am sorry, maine aapko dekha hi nahi', he apologized sweetly.
'Its okay uncle. Hota hai', she replied with a sweet smile showing her dimples. Just like her. He smiled at her again.
'Mujhe bhagna padega, mamma wait kar rahi hai. Main chalti hoon. Bye!', she said in her childish voice and ran away waving at him. And unknowingly Arjun waved at her. He didn't know why, but he felt a close connection with this cute little girl. May be because she reminded him strongly of Riya. To say reminded will be completely incorrect, cause he never forget her.
Just eight months after Roshni's death she had entered his life when he had joined ETF back. Miss Riya Mukherjee. She was the research specialist there. And honestly her constant rambling about analytical data, statistics and percentages royally irritated him. But as time passed he came to know the real Riya Mukherjee. She was beautiful, bubbly, charming, intelligent, brave and most importantly a girl who lived her life fully. There was something about her that drew him towards her, but Arjun being the stubborn one refused to acknowledge the fact. But he knew that she was different. She was the one who had started to break the wall of indifference and stubbornness around him. She was the only one who never looked at him with pity even after knowing his past. And after 1 year of working with her, he had started to realize that she mattered to him. She was the one who understood him. But Arjun still needed time to come to terms with the fact that he was falling in love again. He needed time to realize that by falling in love he wasn't betraying Roshni's love, and in fact would be giving her soul peace by being happy. But he was too late to realize that. After avenging Roshni's murder and hanging Sikander to death with Arjun, Riya had decided to leave ETF. She had resigned the following week, and left Arjun still pondering over the relation he shared with her...
And it was only after she left did he realize that she meant something to him. She was EVERYTHING for him. She was the one because of whom his heart learnt to beat again. In telling her the meaning of love, it was because of her that he himself learnt the meaning of love again. He had fallen irrevocably in love with her. And so he searched for her, searched everywhere. But there was no trace of her. Being an ETF officer, he even used his sources and finally came to know that she left for USA. She had left him alone. Again.
But this time he didn't stop living life. Though he was incomplete without her, he didn't let himself break. Because he knew that she won't be happy seeing him broken and he will get her back one day. Mujhe yakeen hai ki hum jaroor milenge Riya. Kyunki ye zindagi bohot lambi hai he had said to himself. And since then the old Arjun was back. The Arjun he had always been, before life started playing its tricks on him. The boy who was Sameer Rathore's best friend, the guide for Shree and Chotu whose company they started to enjoy. Although at field he was still the tough cop ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawate, the ETF team had become his family since he started SMILING again...
It had been 5 years now since Riya left. And today after seeing this cute girl, somewhere in his heart he felt that She is around...
