Part 3

Anjali sat next to Aneesh and Khushi who were deep asleep. She wiped the ruffled hair from Aneesh's face and kissed his forehead..

Remembering their past again..

*FLASHBACK*

As Khushi fell off from the cliff to the deep water, Anjali felt her knees weakening..In front of her eyes, they all lost Khushi ji.. Anjali was behind nk, aman and akash all, so no one saw what's happening to her. She felt an unbearable pain in her lower abdomen, she kept her hand on her large baby bump as she felt some spasms down her spine..

It was her ninth month but another week was remaining for her due delivery date!

"A..akash bhai.."

She whispered slowly, but her voice didn't reach them as of the heavy rain.

The police and the rescue teams had arrived with ambulance and the guys were giving their statements to the cops. All around Anjali was getting blurred and she fainted,

Just at the moment Aman turned around, sensing something.

"Diii..."

He screamed, taking her head to his lap.

Akash and NK ran to them.

"Get her in to the ambulance!"

Para meds suggested and Aman carried her into it and rushed to the hospital, asking Akash and NK to stay back.

"Mr.Mathur!?"

"Ji doctor! How's di and' and the kid..!?"

"Mr.Mathur Anjali has to undergo an immediate caesarean.. "

"But do.."

"That's all we can do' the situation is such"

"Ok doctor, but please save di and the kid both, please doctor please.."

"Let's hope for the best Mr.Mathur.."

The doctor left..Aman was frozen'he took the mobile and dialled.

"Akash sir.."

"Aman,,what's wrong??"

"What happened there?"

"No use Aman..the divers could find nothing except for Bhabhi's belongings.. uparse ye rain' deep water and darkness,,we lost her Aman..we lost her too.."

Akash uttered weakly.

"Sir please get a grip on you.."

"I don't know how to face Payal, I..I..promised her.."

Akash's voice was breaking,

Aman heard him giving the phone to NK.

"Aman??"

"Nk I'm so sorry but will you bring Akash with you to city hospital?"

"I will aman,but first tell me how's di,,and the ki.."

"An immediate caesarean going on,,"

"What?? We are coming just hang in there.."

The call ended.

Aman went near the theatre door. He paced up and down, restlessly..

He didn't know how would ASR sir's family will face all these... he was dumbstruck.

In no time Akash and NK arrived.

"Aman!?"

"Akash sir Di is in.."

"Aman I..I just don't know how to thank you for all these..I'm all messed up I don't know..I'm.."

"Sir please..you don't have to..it's my family as well"

Aman said, holding his hands.

"Mr.Mathur.."

They jerked and turned.

"Congratulations! It's a boy.."

Said the nurse giving the warm little bundle to him..the three guys were staring at the little face, not knowing what to say..they can't laugh, they can't cry,they can't cheer, they can lament! Just one night and their lives have turned upside down. From one night they have changed from pranksters to responsible men. The future has to be handled by them now..

They three together, held the little boy in their arms and looked on until Anjali regained consciousness.

"Creek"

The room door opened slowly and Akash, NK and Aman entered the room, with their little nephew in their hands..

"Di..it's a HE.."

Nk said handing over the kid to anjali.

"Chotte.."

She uttered and started weeping, hugging the kid to her bosom.

The three men remained silent.

"Akash.."

"Ji di??"

"Chalo..let's go home.."

"Di but..you are still.."

"No akash.. There's nothing more to be happened to me, all happened because of me ..kamse kam the funeral rites should be done properly.. let's go. NOW!"

Anjali said, sobbing.

They agreed.

It was next morning already, though they knew that the family must be waiting for their calls, they did neither call them nor they answered their calls, they came to search Khushi..

But all they could take back home was her stained dupatta, slippers, the broken bangle shards and Di's kid..

They were already late for the funeral, but that too has to be done. They reached home fast.

"Bituwa kamse kam you should have called.." Naani kept crying..

"Kya farak padtha hein naani!we lost chotte and kushiji..all because of me..and then I don't deserve to be surrounded by you all and be happy..kaas kar ke iss wakth mein "

Anjali said.

Payal was crying, clinging to akash..

"Hey Bhagwaan yei kya hogaya!!"

Naani was crying..

They all were shattered. Their world broken..

*FLASHBACK ENDS*

Anjali wiped her tears. The trauma was still there.. Though she and the whole family will pretend to smile, only they knew the burning pain of that loss, 5years ago..

The tears never ended. no one could sleep peacefully henceforth..

Mumbai's famous theatre 'Plaza' was filled with the crowd.. Almost three fourth of the crowd were young girls,,,

"A.A!! A.A!! A.A!! A.A!!"

They were cheering!! Holding banners for their AA!! The new craze in town!! In Mumbai!! In the whole country!!

His songs, his music were the newest trend!! Girls were going crazy for his voice!! The show was on and the whole crowd was waiting for his arrival!! They were cheering!!

They were waiting for HIM!!

He was AA!!

ARSHAAD ARORA!!

Arshaad Arora! Lovingly known as AA! The name which make thousands of young crowd go weak in their knees, the name in which young girls go gaga on! With his unique voice and unbeatable music, Arshaad was in a class himself. He was not a trend follower but he was a trend setter! His style unique to himself, and the crowd around him was just so crazy about him! His songs were now famous worldwide..though he was so different from other artists of the field.

Arshaad was extremely a private person. No one knew from where he came! He never disclosed anything about him to the outer world. He rejected media and all kind of press conferences, the offers for shows in foreign countries. He did shows everywhere in India, except in few which he couldn't go yet! And in one city which he will never go, never again as he hated it! Mumbai was his start, and may be it'll be forever his city he thought.

Given that he's extremely private person, people who hasn't heard his voice made fun of the youngsters falling for him, but soon after they themselves heard his voice, they couldn't help themselves falling for him!

The baggy jeans, the hooded jacket covering his upper body and head, the unique wristbands in his hands and the sneakers! That was AA! That was AA trend he made! He was always an UNSEEN artist! It'll sound weird but that was the truth, no one would believe that anyone has yet not seen his face, but that was the truth, he wore dark ray-bans wherever he is, even in shows and the mask covering the rest of the face. He hated being seen and even no one dared to! That was it, his face was only seen by the only close person he had! His Assistant AM!!

Arshaad had no family; he was in a huge loss, an emotional loss as he has lost his love! He was in search of her, and yet he is. He was simple though he earned thousands of lakhs form the shows, of which more than three fourth he gave away for charity!

From the huge window of the private room at the backstage, he was looking far away, all alone; dressed up in his usual- unusual outfit. He heard foot steps nearing him.

"You came?"

He uttered.

"Arshaad aren't you going to the stage now? They are waiting!"

"AM you know that I never step there until you come!"

"Sorry for being late!"

"You needn't be.."

AM Nodded.

"I'll make a move then. Everything under control??"

"Yeah arshaad"

"Keep an eye on all, no one should near me, nor see me even a bit.."

"Sure"

AM Nodded again. off arshaad went towards the stage.

"AA! AA! AA! AA!"

He heard the crowd cheering.

But as the spotlight directed on him who was facing the back to the audience, a pin drop silence shooted across the whole Plaza theatre! The music started playing and the girls started cheering again!! Literally screaming!!

But as his voice came out, the silence won again!

He closed the eyes, grabbing the mike,

"Kyun..khwab vo mein tere sayeen hein..

Dil kyun tanha mera..

Kyun kamosh hein subaan mere..

Jo hamse kehe paunaaa,,

Kyun dhard hein itnaaa..

Tere ishq meinnn..

Rabba veee

He closed his eyes tighter, her face being pictured in his eyes

"Rabbaaa aaa rabba veee.. ho rabba veee...

rabbaaa rabba ve..."

Tears flew through his cheeks!! Flashes of past, the sweet past with her being drawn in his head as usual,,

"I want a daughter"

He heard himself telling..

"What if we get a son.."

She was questioning back,

Lying on his bare chest,,

"Yet I want a daughter" he said going atop her and kissing her bare shoulder line. He dragged the quilt covering their bodies..

"AA! AA! AA! AA!"

His trance of that past broke with the crowd cheering!! The girls throwing bouqets of roses. To him,,Arshaad sighed and waved his hands to the audience.

He himself at times wondered how people fall for him without ever seeing him! Only for his voice!!

"Autograph pls AA!"

"I love you AA!"

"Arshaad I will die for you!!"

"Arshaad rox!!!!"

"Arshaad!!!!"

"Arshaad pls let us see you once!! Just once!!"

The crowd was surrounding him! Yet no one could reach them, as AM was covering him as usual..

"AM Please let us go to him naa"

Youngsters were pleading..

"Please all..the show is over!! Guards!!"

Shouted AM clearing the road for Arshaad to go. Guards came towards and AM Safely got Arshaad out from there and got into the car and set off to their apartment!

Next morning,

Shantivan.

"Akash bituwa!"

"Ji daadi?"

"Did aman bituwa inform that he reached Mumbai??"

"Yes daadi.."

Naani nodded.

"Naani!!!!"

Screamed Kushi,

Running down the stairs, aneesh behind her..

"Areyy Gudiya!! Aaoo aaoo! What haapened!"

"Look at mausi!! She is not giving me jalebis!!"Said the baby Kushi, pouting her lips, pointing at payal.

Naani took her to the lap.

"Areyye no one eats jalebi this early in the morning gudiya!!"

Naani said,wiping the hair strands faaling on the girl's forehead..

"Naani pls give me naa!! Ek! Srif srif ek jalebi kaafi hein!"

Kushi was pleading..

"Gudiyaa!!"

Anjali's voice came from behind! Kushi's mouth opened into a big 'O'!

She turned to anjali,smiling!

"First have your breakfast aur after that eat as much as jalebi you want theek hein?"

Said anjali, carrying kushi to her arms..

"Hey Bhagwan ye ladki has lost more weight I think naani!"

Said anjali kissing the girl's cheek.

"Aur nahi to kya! The whole day she's playing, dancing,,"

Said naani, smiling.

"Areyye di maami lekin I eat chana naa"

Chuckled kushi, hugging anjali's shoulders from her tiny hands.

"Chana! Gudiya chana doesn't fill your tummy always!! I should tell hariparkash to stop buying these chana for you!!"

"Kyaaa??"

Asked the girl, pouting her lips again.

"Ji haan.aur if you want to continue eating chana to phir jaldise jaoo aur naashtha karlo"

Said Anjali, pretending to be serious.

The little girl jumped down from her maami's hands and ran to kitchen,making all laugh a little.

Anjali sat next to naani.

"Naani,She's totally like.."

"Kushi bitiya.. Right??"

"Hmmm"

Anjali nodded, heartbroken.

"I wished she was here,naani..she and chotte,and their kids.."

Anjali said,broken.

Naani caressed her head.

"Bitiya.."

"Chotte forced kushi into a contract marriage for me,Kushiji left chotte at the end of the contract for me! Kamse kam I couldn't unite them naani! They didn't have any marital relatoinship even! All because of me!!"

Anjali whispered, placing her head on naani's lap.

"And finally they left us forever! Their love was incompleted! All because of me! What a sinner I am naani"

Anjali sobbed..

Naani wiped her tears,

"Bitiya,we have our little ones.we can't be weak.. Try to get a grip on you..and I told you yesterday also, I'm sure that our chotte is alive!!"

Anjali raised her head,

"Naani?? Aap again??"

"Nahi bitiya,he is alive,,if not why you think I never kept his portrait next to kushi bitiya's and why I never lit a lamp for him? That's because my heart says that chotte is alive!"

Naani said.

Anjali went to deep thoughts,,

"I don't know naani,,I lost my chotte twice!! And all I know is that I've lost them! All of them!"

Anjali said..

PS: so when did anjali lost her chotte twice?? Why did she say she lost "all of them" instead saying "both of them"?? Think! And answers will be in upcoming parts! And that's how it differs from past, present or future track of the real IPKKND!
