"Khushi" someone yelled from behind and pulled her out from the gathered crowd, she looked startled but eyes raging out in temper, her fixed eyes kept on glaring at him with anger.
"How dare '?" she said "that crap disgusting fellow"
"Enough Khushi, even you do such mistakes" the one who pulled her said.
"Yeah, you are always by his side"
In the busy crowded streets of Lucknow Khushi and her friend walked by Khushi continuously using abusive words and cursing him, the one with whom she just fought and always used to fight.
"Tomorrow I will show him" she said as they neared her house.
"Aunty" her friend yelled at a lady standing in the courtyard of the house, "Khushi is going to play kabadi"
"He challenged me" she said before her mother began to refute and went inside her room and slammed the door.
Her friend and her mother stood there not knowing what to do, it's always impossible to get Khushi do something they wished to and make her understand the risks behind all her adventurous activities. Khushi always took daring steps and by fate's luck came out harmless but what feared her mother the most is an unknown step could even make a mistake of lifetime. Her mother looked worried; her face showed all her anxieties and tensions, always cheered up lady were unable to hide her fears.
"Anjali beta, can't you try making him understand, after all he is your brother right" she looked at Anjali with a beam of hope in her face
"Aunty I wish I could" she said sadly "neither Khushi nor Arnav let me solve their fights"
"These kids, I wish all goes well" and turned towards kitchen as she saw Khushi enter kitchen to make jalebis "beta you go now, let me talk to Khushi"
"Ok Aunty, I will be back soon"
Garima walked into kitchen smiling, Khushi was busy with the batter that she didn't notice Garima, she stood there for a while and saw how Khushi ease her fears and anger, she loved seeing her do this and stood there looking at her daughter when Khushi looked up to see Garima standing there lost in some world.
"What's up amma? New love?" she giggled
"You are not playing with those dirty boys" she said gaining back her sense and putting up a firm face.
"What?" Khushi looked shocked "Amma he challenged me indirectly"
"Or you challenged him?"
"Amma please, you mean to say I asked him to marry me? That disgusting fellow told I can never play kabadi and if ever I play he will marry me, it's disgusting"
"So you want to marry him? Well Anjali said me what exactly passed by you both"
"Ha? No NEVER, I want to show him that even after playing and winning Kabadi he won't be able to touch me, and Anjali, she isn't my friend she will always support her silly brother"
"You are not playing that's it" Garima said looking firm at her decision.
"Come on amma, I will never let that idiot feel I got scared by his threat and took back my decision of playing"
