PART 8
Arnav got up and helped Khushi not looking at her. Khushi held his hand and bowed to the audience. He turned to look at her she saw something she never thought she would see "TEARS."
Khushi- "Arnav?" She touched his shoulder. "Are you okay?"
Arnav turned to look at her and nodded his head with a slight smile. Within seconds people were flocking the stage. Arnav and Khushi were being hugged and kissed by their college mates. During all this happiness Khushi saw that Arnav was in deep pain. She wanted to do something to ease his pain but for that to happen she had to find out what is wrong with him.
Arnav had a hollow feeling inside of him. He couldn't stand to see someone dying even if its just acting. Ever since he lost his parents he always got emotional if someone had passed on. He noticed that everyone was busy in their own conversations so he slipped away.
Khushi saw him leave the celebration and also left to follow him. She wondered what's wrong with him. He's such a tough guy so what happened that brought tears to his eyes.
He felt someone put their hand on his shoulder and turned around. "Oh hell! What is she doing here? I didn't want her to see me cry."
Khushi- "Arnav are you okay?"
Arnav- "Khushi, I don't want to talk about this, please go."
Khushi- "Arey, but I'm..."
Arnav spoke in a loud tone- "Didn't you understand what I said Khushi? Leave me alone."
Khushi felt bad with the way he spoke to her so she just left. She was lost in her thoughts when Nk called out to her.
Nk- "Khushi, here you are! I've been searching for you."
Khushi just gave him a fake smile but didn't reply.
Nk- "So shall we? He held out his hand for her to take it."
Khushi- "Nanheji can I ask you something?"
Nk looked at her confused and turned around and to his sides.
Nk- "Khushi, there's no one her beside you and I. So who are you talking to?"
Khushi smiled and said " I'm talking to you."
Nk- "No, but you said Nanheji? Who's that?"
Khushi burst out laughing and said " I'm sorry Nanheji but I can't call you by your other name."
Nk- "As you wish Khushi! By the way what did you want to ask me?"
Khushi explained to him how she saw Arnav upset and crying. "So can you at least tell me if you know anything?"
Nk- "Well Khushi! 15 years ago on Nanav's 9th birthday his parents passed away."
Flashback
Small Anjali- "Chotte! Chotte! Get up. Its your birthday."
Arnav took his pillow and covered his head to block his sister's voice out.
Anjali- "Okay fine! Don't wake up I'll just pour this jug of ice water on you."
Arnav jumped of the bed and screamed " No Di, Please don't."
He got angry when he noticed his sister had no jug in her hand. He went into his bathroom and banged the door.
Arnav's mom- "Chotte, come down we have so much of work to do." The entire day the Raizada's where busy with preparations and Arnav was really excited.
Arnav saw his dad come and ran into his arms.
Arnav- "Dad, What did you get me?"
Arnav's dad- "Hmmm, What does my champ want?"
Arnav always wanted a miniature version of a ferrari. So his dad told him he'll get it for him tomorrow. Arnav got angry as it is his birthday today and he wanted the gift now. His mom tried to reason with him and told him that its raining very heavy and that the media has warned them to stay indoors. He took no for an answer and was adamant.
His parents did not want him to be upset on his special day so they took the risk and went. It was about an hour later when the Raizada's received a call from the inspector saying that Arnav's parents met with an accident.
Flasback ends
Khushi had tears in her eyes. She felt sick at heart for Arnav. She understood his pain very well.
Khushi- "So Arnav blames himself for his parents death?"
Nk- "Yes. Nanav feels that if he did not insist then his parents would have been alive today. That's why he gets all emotional if someone passes on. I think maybe the play was to emotional for him that's why he got upset."
Khushi told him she'll meet him later she had somewhere to go now. She left him and went in search of Arnav. Khushi didn't know why but she felt the need to comfort him and tell him its not his fault. She saw him standing in the same spot she left him.
Khushi walked to him and touched his shoulder.
Khushi- "Arnav I know what you are going through right now. I also..."
Arnav- "You know Khushi there's two things I hate most in this world. One is when someome lies to me and do you know what the other is? He turned towards and folded his arms across his chest staring at her."
Khushi looked at him blank waiting for him to go on. She knew this was not going to be good.
Arnav- "The other is when someone tell me they understand my pain when actually NO ONE UNDERSTANDS. So stop your fake sympathy and get lost please."
Khushi- "Arnav listen I didn't mean to hurt you. I just..."
Arnav grabbed both her arms hurting her skin in the process.
Arnav- "What do you know about the pain of losing someone close to you."
Khushi- "I understand Arnav. I..."
Arnav screamed- "No Khushi! You don't know what its like to cremate your mother and father together and then live with the guilt that its your fault."
He left her arms roughly.
Khushi lifted her hand to his shoulder- Arnav listen...
He caught her hand and shoved her so hard she almost lost her balance. She had tears rolling down her cheeks.
Arnav- "Enough Khushi!! I don't want to hear anything. Just make sure that I never see your face again."
Arnav stormed out from their leaving Khushi shocked. Khushi could not believe him. Here she was trying to comfort him but he just hurts her and goes. "Fine! If that's how it is then I won't go in front of him again. I will avoid him at any cost" she said to herself.
She wiped her tears and went in search of her jiji. She found her jiji engaged in a conversation with some guy using glasses.
Khushi- Jiji? Shall we?
Jiji- Okay Khushi. Khushi, this is your friend Arnav's brother Akash.
Akash- Hi Khushi, you were amazing today. Well done.
Khushi- Thank you Akash. Let's go Jiji. She pulled her jiji away and went to find a rickshaw.
Arnav was not in the mood for anything and especially not Lavanya. He saw her walking towards him and he hid behind a pillar till she passes him. When she left he went in search of his brothers.
Akash- "Bhai, ready to go home?"
Arnav- "Yes Akash, let's get out of here."
The three brothers walked to Arnav's car and got in. Nk sat in the back and Akash sat in the fromt with Arnav.
Akash- "You know Bhai, I met Khushi's sister just now Payal. He had a cute blush on his face and kept picking his glassed up."
Nk- "Akash dude, are you like in love or something. Your cheeks have turned red."
Akash just smiled and then said " Payal told me what happened to Khushi, its very sad."
Nk- "Kya hua Khushi ko? Is she okay?"
Akash- "Yes Nk she's okay. Its just that Khushi was 6 years old when her parents passed away."
Arnav slammed the brakes and turned to Akash and screamed " What?"
Akash- "Yes Bhai and her nanny that used to look after her, put her in an orphanage. It was only a year later when her Buaji and cousin Shyam found her in the orphanage. Payal is also not her own sister. She is her cousin but they are all close as siblings."
Arnav was not listening anymore. He was unable to digest this information. "Oh hell! What have I done? I should not have spoken to her like that. I have to say sorry to her, after all how hard can it be." He thought to himself.
Khushi lay awake on their terrace staring at the stars. She always felt that her parents became stars after passing on. So she gets some comfort looking at the stars. Today she missed her parents a bit too much and wished they were here with her.
Arnav lay on his recliner by the pool and stared at the stars. He felt so guilty after speaking to Khushi like that today. "I'm such a damn idiot. Why don't I think before I say anything." He knew he had to apologize to her for his behavior but he had to wait till Monday since its now the weekend. He did not even know where she stayed or else he would hae drove there right now. Gradually he started to feel sleepy and closed his eyes. He fell asleep on the recliner and did not even bother to go to his bed.
Gupta house
Buaji- "Sanka devi challo! We are going to be late."
Khushi- "Coming Buaji."
Khushi stepped out of her room using a blue and silver saree. She had matching earring and bangles. She even put a blue bindi on. Her blouse was made with full works and was an alter neck. She left her hair opened and it fell to her waist. In short she was looking extremely beautiful.
Buaji- "Hai re Nandakisore! Sanka Devi! We going to propose marriage for your brother not you."
Khushi rolled her eyes at her Buaji and said " Uff oh Buaji! So what? Its my Bhai's wedding so I will dress my best."
Buaji nudged her- "Waise, woh Anjali bitiya has three brothers. If you want we can propose Payal's and your wedding one time."
Khushi- "Teek hai Buaji. But on one condition?"
Buaji- "Kya?"
Khushi- "Along with jiji and I you have to propose your wedding with Bhabhi's third brother." Khushi ran from there before her Buaji could catch her.
Raizada house.
Everyone walked to the door when they heard the bell ring. Arnav was busy in his room doing some work on his laptop. He was not interested in all this nonsense. He didn't understand all this rituals. Why couldn't people just get married instead of making it a big issue? He heard the door open and he felt a familiar breeze hit. He felt as if she just walked in, but how is that possible. He just brushed it of as a coincidence.
The Guptas greeted the Raizadas and was welcomed inside. Shyam scanned the room for his beloved queen but was disappointed when he couldn't see her.
Nani- "Kya hua Damadji? What are you looking for?"
Shyam- "Kuch nahi naniji. Woh Anjali..."
Mami- "Hello Hi Bye Bye! Damadji chill. Anjali bitiya coming."
Nani- "Damadji. Your sisters didn't come?"
Buaji- "They are bringing the shagun."
Khushi looked at the house in excitement.
Khushi- "Jiji such a big house. I wonder what the inside looks like?"
Jiji- "Chup pagli. Ab challo!"
They walked in to the house and got shocked when two people screamed their names and ran to them.
Akash and Nk together- Payal, Khushi?
Khushi- "Arey Nanheji? Akashji. Tum dono here?"
Nk- "Khushi. If we are not going to be in our house then where else will we be?"
Khushi- "That means my brother is getting married to your sister?"
Nk- "Well yeah! I guess so."
Khushi- "Hey Devi Maiyya! That means that my Bhabhi is that laad governor's sister?"
Nk- "I don't know about Devi and laad governor but I do know that your bhabhi has three dashing brothers Akash, Me and Nanav."
Arnav walked down to meet his jijaji for the first time. He was very happy that his sister had finally found her happiness. He would do anything for her. She was his DI, his parents and best friend. So no harm could come to her as long as he's there. He had a splitting headache so he decided to go to the kitchen first and tell HP to make him ginger tea.
Khushi insisted on making tea and snacks for everyone. The Raizada's were so impressed by her talks and maturity. They agreed for her to do it. The first thing she did when she entered the kitchen was admire the beauty if it. She started preparing the tea and snacks. The flour was the only thing she couldn't get since it was so high up, so she placed a stool in front of the shelf and stood on it. She still couldn't reach so she stood on her toes but misbalanced.
Khushi closed her eyes and waited for her bottom to hit the ground but instead she fell into a pair of strong arms. She slowly opened her eyes to see who her saviour was and stared into the shocked face of Arnav Singh Raizada.
Precap
Arnav- Khushi! What the hell is your problem? I've been trying to talk to you so long now but you are just ignoring me.
Khushi refused to look at him or reply so she turned to walk away when he grabbed her and pinned her against the wall.
Arnav- Listen to me when I'm talking to you Dammit!
She pushed him away from her and pointed her finger at him.
Khushi- No MR Arnav Singh Raizada. I don't want to hear anything. You said you don't want see my face isn't? So why is it bothering you now that I'm ignoring you? Make up your mind Mr Raizada.
Arnav had enough, no one had ever spoken to him like that so How dare she? He knew the only way to silence her was his way.
He grabbed her by her neck and put his arm around her waist and held her tightly. He pulled her close to him and slammed his mouth against hers with force.
