Part 22

"What makes you think that Arnav Singh Raizada takes orders from anyone? And who are you to interfere. This is non of your business." He said smirking.
"It is my business, because the person you are hurting is my fiance." Arjun shouted shocking Arnav to an extent that he couldn't move.

To say that Arnav was shocked would be an understatement. After all that this girl has done to him , why does he feel like his heart was just stabbed a thousand times. And what the hell was that? She's not my woman! She betrayed me! I'm suppose to hate her not fight for her. Arnav thought

"Oh I get it now! You are her fiance! Well good for you then. I'm out of here. But before I go I'll just give you a piece of advise if you have a brother keep Khushi away from him." He said, walking out the door leaving behind a confused Arjun.

"What did he mean by that Khushi? Wait is he ASR?" Arjun asked. "Khushi? I asked you something baby, tell me the truth! Is he the same ASR?"

Khushi was too shocked to say anything. After all this time history repeats. Arnav has again opened her wounds. All she could do was nod in answer to Arjun.

Arjun pushed passed everyone in fury and ran to catch up with Arnav before he leaves.

Raizada House

"Anjali Bitiya? How could you so easily forgive Khushi and be so nice to her after everything that happen? Did you not forget what she did to our Chotte?" Nani said angrily.
"Nahi Nani I can never forget that night for as long as I live, but see Nani I didn't tell you all this because I was helpless. I think you need to know this. The day after Khushi left, Shyam came back, he was so furious with us." Anjali confessed.

Flashback

"Rani Sahiba? Where's princess?" Shyam asked.
"Woh... Shyam she's..." Anjali stammered not having the courage to tell him what happened.
"Why are you scared bitiya? Tell him what his sister did?" Buaji said.

Anjali began telling Shyam everything, How that morning they went looking for Khushi? What they saw? She even told him that Khushi said something about Chloroform but that was just a cover up.

"ENOUGH ANJALI, if you say one more word I swear to god I will kick you out of this house." Shyam screamed at her sending tremors down her spine.
" I cannot believe you people, how could your'll think that Khushi could do that? And your'll threw her out with just a bedsheet around her? My poor princess must have been so traumatised, god only knows where she is now?" Shyam said crying wishing he was here at that time.

"Shyam? You actually believe her? I'm telling you that we saw them with our own eyes and you still believe her? What do you think that I'm lying?" Anjali said feeling hurt.
"No Anjali I know you are not lying. Tell me something you say you saw them right? So that means that they was naked and having S** when your'll opened the door right?" Shyam asked.
"No. They were not naked, they had bedsheets around them." Anjali said.
"Oh right. So they had 1 bed sheet around both of them?" He questioned.
"No she had 1 and Nk had another 1." She answered.
"Thank you Anjal, that's all I wanted to hear." Shyam said smiling to himself. "Now I want you to come with me to your house."

Shyam and Anjali reached Raizada Mansion. Anjali enquired about her brother and was told he's in his room and he's locked the door not allowing anyone in.

While everyone was chatting, Shyam disappeared for about half hour until he walked back down. Shyam signalled for Anjali to follow him. He walked up to the terrace with his wife following him.

"Shyam kya hua? Why did we come to the terrace?" Anjali asked confused at her husband.
"See this Anjali!" He said picking a hankie that was lying under the bench with a piece of paper not touching it with his fingers.
"So? That's a hankie." She replied with her eyebrows raised. Wondering what her husband was up to.
"Anjali, there's something strong on this. Can you not get the smell?" He asked.
"Yeah I can. So what?" She asked.
"Khushi was telling the truth Anjali, if this hankie has chloroform on it then she was unconscious, and this means... Oh my god... This means someone wanted to harm Khushi." Shyam realised.
"Shyam, stop it now. You are just trying to deny what your sister did, she's nothing but a betrayer." Anjali said angrily and turned to walk.
"No she's not. I will prove her innocence Anjali if its the last thing I do.

Shyam refused to talk to Anjali or anyone in the house except Payal. The brother and sister duo went out everyday for hours investigating what really happened.

Shyam had the hankie sent to the lab and was told that there was signs of chloroform on it. Then he went to the Police station and begged them to help him with the fingerprints.

The next day Shyam had called Anjali to the police station to meet him. He told her all about the investigations and what he had found.

It turned out that the two guys that had harmed Khushi and NK that night where criminals that are released on bail awaiting trial. The fingerprints showed who they were and all the information they needed to find them.

"The inspectors were really helpful, they helped me and Payal catch this two. Now we have to find out why they did it." Shyam said turning to the two badly beaten up men.
"Tell me why did you harm my sister and brother in law that night?" Shyam asked calmly.
"Sahib, we don't know who you are talking about. We didn't harm anyone." They said.
"Really so the Raizada Mansion does not ring a bell?" Shyam asked.
" Nahi sir. We didn't do anything. Let us go." The one guy yelled.

The police beat them up even more with the sticks in their hand. The sub inspector ordered for the shock treatment room to be opened.

The guys got scared after hearing this, and started confessing. How they knocked them out with the chloroform, they carried them to NK's room and stripped NK to just his underwear and wrapped him with a bedsheet. They also confessed that a girl had stripped Khushi and wrapped her with a bedsheet as well. Then they carried them both ,put them on the bed and fled from there.

"Who was the girl? And what reason did you have to do this?" Shyam asked.
"The girl was the one who payed us to do it. We needed the money sahib, our families where starving." They cried out.
"Who was the girl that paid you? I need her name?" Anjali said after a while, not looking at anyone.
"Lavanya Kashyap." They said.

Anjali burst out crying, feeling guilty for what she did. She had hurt that poor innocent soul. She slapped her three times, she called her horrible names.

Shyam helped Anjali get up, no matter what had happened he still loved Anjali. After all he did understand her point of view when it came to her brother. Just like how he's protective of his sister she's the same with Arnav. It will however take him time to forgive her but one day he eventually will.

"I have to go home and tell everyone, especially Chotte. He's going to be so happy when he finds out that his Khushi is innocent." Anjali said crying and laughing at the same time.
"No Anjali, you will not tell a soul about this." Shyam said sternly.
"But why Shyam? Arnav deserves to know the truth. He loves her." Anjali said.
"Love? Love? Who are you kidding Anjali? If he loved her he would have trusted her. That's what love Is all about TRUST. Your brother does not love Khushi, Anjali. And if you tell a soul about this I swear to god that will be the end of us. Everyone had doubted my sister so no one needs to know the truth. The only reason I told you is because I challenged you that I will prove her innocent. AND I DID!" Shyam said angrily.

Flashback ends

Anjali confessed everything to Nani but did not reveal Lavanya's name. She knows she broke her promise to her husband today but she couldn't hold back anymore.

Restaurant

"Arjun STOP, Arjun please listen to me." Khushi screamed running after Arjun.
"Arjun please I beg of you, stop this, its not worth it." Khushi continued to scream but he ignored her pleas.

"Mr Arnav Singh Raizada STOP right there." Arjun screamed before Arnav could get into his car.
"What the?" Arnav said with an amused look on his face.
"How dare you? What do you think of yourself huh? Just because you couldn't understand Khushi's worth doesn't mean I wouldn't." Arjun said clutching Arnav's collar.
"What the f***? Get your hand of me! Don't you dare touch me. What do you know Huh?" Arnav said pushing Arjun away from him.
"Stop this now, Arjun come with me now or else I will never speak to you again." Khushi screamed.
"Fine, let's go, but remember Arnav for what you did to Khushi it will come back to hit you in your face. But by the time you realise, it will be to late." Arjun said before walking away, leaving Arnav to his thoughts.

"Khushi are you okay? Talk to me please. From the time we left the restaurant you have not spoken a word to me." Arjun said while driving.
"Arjun just drop me at home please." Khushi said softly.
"Not until you tell me what's wrong? I know Khushi you are angry at me. But I couldn't help it. He hurt you." Arjun confessed sadly.
"YES HE DID ARJUN, HE HURT ME. But you had no right to question him. What happened was the past, I don't want it to affect anything in my future." Khushi yelled angrily at him.
"I do have a right you are my fiance Khushi, we are going to be married soon. I have the right to face your past so it doesn't come back in our future." He said softly. "I'm sorry Khushi I promise I won't say anything to him."

Khushi go down from the car and went inside her room. Arjun watched her go inside then went to his room on the next floor.

Raizada Mansion

"HP is everything ready? I want everything to be perfect. The guests will be arriving soon for the ROKA." Anjali asked with excitement because her brother is getting engaged today.

"Ji Anjali DI, everything is done, we have just not yet decorated the pool." HP replied.
"No worries HP, I'll get someone to decorate it. Go quick and check the lighting and the food." She said panicking in case something is amiss.

It was 4pm when the guests started arriving, Anjali and Arnav stood at the door welcoming everyone.

Arnav was getting annoyed now, if his DI hadn't blackmailed him to stand here he would have been working in his room now. He didn't like all this chaos. He liked peace and quiet, but wherever hos family is that's impossible. He wondered if Khushi will come today after everything that happened in the restaurant. He behaved like a possessed spirit with her. Why was he behaving like that when he saw her fiance? It shouldn't matter to him. That's her life.

Khushi saw Arnav and Anjali standing by the door. She felt uncomfortable seeing them but she had to do it for her sister. Just this few days left then she will leave forever. But her brother? Will he let her go this time. She still has to introduce him to Arjun. Thinking of Arjun she remembered how Arnav was so angry when he saw her with him. Why did he get angry? He shouldn't even care what I do? After all he's the one that kicked me out.

"Princess? What are you dreaming about? Come inside." Anjali said without thinking.
"Its Khushi Anjali. Please call me by my name only my brother has the right to call me that." Khushi said looking at Arnav who was in a black suit as usual. His face still flawless and gorgeous as ever. Those lips which she had once..." What the hell is wrong with me? Why am I thinking like that?" Khushi thought.

Arnav was seeing her after almost a week since that night. She had a purple and silver sari on, her hair was left open, she wore minimal make up. He stared into her hazel eyes remembering that night of Shyam and Anjali's cocktail party when he had taken her to the beach and made her feel thing she never felt before. She still looked beautiful as that night in fact in this two years her beauty has become outstanding.

Khushi walked in but her eyes were on Arnav. He had this magnetic pull, no matter how much she tries she can't seem to pull away. Their eye lock was broken when Akash yelled for her.
"Arey Khushi? You came? Chal mere saath, your brother is panicking." Akash said putting his hand on Khushi's shoulder and taking her. She turned back to see Arnav staring at her with a blank face.

"Bhai? You were looking for me?" Khushi asked when she approached Shyam.
"Yes princess, where were you? I was phoning you from the morning. I was so worried. Last I saw you was yesterday when we went for lunch. Don't do that again Baby sis please." Shyam said scolding her.

Khushi missed her Bhai a lot, seeing his concern for her she wondered how she was going to leave him.

"Anjali? Is everything ready? The ceremony is about to start!" Shyam asked as Anjali was walking passed him.
"No Shyam, the pool still has to be decorated, and I still have other things to do." Anjali said looking really stressed.
"Bha... I mean Anjali give me the stuff I will decorate the pool." Khushi volunteered.
"No no no Pri... Khushi I'll manage." She told her.
"Please I insist, I want to do something for jiji and jijaji.

After insisting Anjali allowed Khushi to do it. Khushi went to the pool area knowing that Arnav's room was right there. But she was strong now, she was not scared to face him. She quickly phoned Arjun to ask him what time he's coming. Unfortunately he was caught up with something and said he'll be there soon.

She started decorating the pool, the wrote Payal and Akash's name on the wall which reflected in the pool in a heart. She scattered red flower petals in the pool, and put up the lights.

Khushi got down from the stool and picked the tray of flowers again not realising there was a glass in the tray. She felt a sharp pain on her left ring finger and thumb.

"Careful Khushi." Arnav said behind her watching her expressions change upon seeing him there.

She ignored him and tried to take the piece of glass out of her finger which was causing immense pain to her. The glass piece was stuck in her finger and she was in tears feeling the pain.

"Let me take it out!" Arnav said calmly.
"No its fine, please go away I will manage."Khushi said without turning back when he grabbed her hand and spun her to face him.
"Don't talk to me like that Khushi, come with me now." He said pulling her to his room ignoring her protests.
"Leave me Arnav I don't need your help, go to hell!" She said trying to pull her hand free.
"I've been to hell Khushi, you need to go there. But then I don't think you will manage." He said sarcastically. " Now stay still while I do this, although you deserve every pain, I am still human. So even by chance don't think this means anything I still hate you."Khushi felt hot tears sting her eyes and a needle pierce her innocent heart, but she had to stay strong. Arnav Singh Raizada will learn his lesson soon and for that she had to remain unaffected by anything he does or says. She cannot show him how much she is hurting. So to avoid any argument she allowed him to bandage her. His day will arrive soon.

Akash and Payal stood opposite each other so that they can exchange rings. No one realised that Arnav and Khushi were together. Shyam had thought that Khushi is still busy with the decoration. When he sent HP up to call her she said to start as she will finish and come. Anjali saw Arnav on the phone doing some business and thought he's somewhere around.

"Today is a very auspicious day Akash and Payal. Even if your partner has to put a bandage on your ring finger you would be considered his. And nothing or no one cannot separate you. Not even god. Your ring finger is connected straight to your heart. The minute the clock strikes 5 that's in a minute you can exchange rings." The priest told them.

The clock struck 5 and Arnav starting bandaging Khushi's ring finger. Akash and Payal were also exchanging ring at the same time.
The priest starts to chant,

Om ganaa dhipam
namas kritya,
namas kritya maheshwaram. Dampatyo preeti
siddh yartham,
granthi bandhana karom yaham. Om achala granthe pratishtho bhawa.
