A Dark Love
"Where is he at this time of night?"
A whispered of panic erupted her lips.
She paced through the hall checking almost every room, his study room too but No'he wasn't in the home,she gave a quick glance to the huge clock hanging on the wall and gulped in panic.
"2.30:am of the night" She whispered sucking in her breath.
Where he is?he should be home at this time of night'is he alright? I'm sure he would be.Fighting with the strange emotions she tried to pull herself together and sank down on the couch but her eyes were fixed at the door an her ears wanted to hear the sound his footsteps.
As the time was creeping forward, her strength began to die and tension continued to mount engulfing her heart with a panic. Why was she getting desperate to see him she didn't know? But the thought was roaming in her mind at that time was his safety'she wanted to see him'she wanted to make sure he was alright'she wanted him to come back home immediately'she wanted to see him'and yes it was the truth that she couldn't shrug though she was trying hard.
At 5:15Finally she heard the slight tap on the door and she rushed to open the door and he was'he was at the door.
She let out the breath and a lone tear slipped from her eye, his gaze met hers, and for a brief moment, time stood still, he saw a flash of emotion in her eyes that he couldn't interpret. Was she tensed for him? Was she waiting for him? Why was she looking so panicked?
But the panic look on her face was gone in an instant, replaced by anger, frustration, "where'were you?"
He gulped down the lump staring her intently and the words were kept repeating in his mind.
"Where were you??"She asked coolly but this time more loudly filled with frustration ignoring his silence. He was so confused, surprised at her words that he felt difficult to pull together himself and he tried to speak, but the lump of emotions in his throat strangled his voice and he could only whisper, "I was with my friend"
He lied and tried to pass through her but she held his wrist and he tilted back regarding her with a quick shocking look and then tried to regain his composure.
Mayank said nothing and his silence made her even angrier, frustrated on him, "is it the right time to return back home?"
Her voice choked and he gasped holding his breath, Home'the words seemed new, unfamiliar to his ear'no one had ever asked him this question. He didn't know what He should've felt at that moment, should he happy at that moment or sad?.
"Do you know how much--- I got scared? I was so frightened"
Her voice choked dangerously as the words spilled from her lips still gazing up at him and the next thing she did ,made him left in immense shock, she pulled his shirt and clutching it in her fist dipped her head into his chest, "I was so scared"
She could no longer restrain her tears, her shoulders shaking with wrenching sobs, his body stiffen and something sharp like pin pricked in his heart he felt out of breath for a moment, an urge to wrap her in his arms and tighten his hold around her body crush her into him to soothe her,to kiss her warm cheek and remove those tears which were wetting her cheeks, He felt a lump formed in his throat and all the emotions that he just felt buried again in his heart as The images of blurred memory flashed back into his eyes..I can't feel like this'I can't let this happen. Never--.
He pulled back holding her shoulders and she looked up at him with tears-streaked face.
"Why were you scared??Why were you ---waiting for me damn it?it shouldn't matter to you if I'm safe'or not?"He snorted but the sound of his voice came out muffle due to the effect of wine. His entire body got tensed to see the strange wave of emotions floating in her eyes'the way she was looking at him no one ever looked at him like that. When he intently met with her gaze, he was rewarded with sparkling tears brimming in those lovely eyes, the anger, frustration for losing his strengths in front of this girl making him stiffen, "Damn --why were you waiting for me? you've no right to ask me any question? Do'you hear?"with the shaking voice he snarled but his eyes were not giving him support, Nupur's voice sounded tight and constricted, rising into anger as she said fiercely. "I've right'I'm your wife"
She felt him stiffen, rigid the taunt mask of agony, anger that he was trying to wrap up looked faded for a moment as her words slowly penetrated in his mind but then the next moment he shrugged'he shrugged them away furiously.
"Its mean you know what rights a husband has on his wife"
Nupur caught her breath as she felt the heat of his body against her when he crushed her into him, Feeling him lean over her and the hard pressure of his body against hers she gasped lifting up her lashes at him and when he leaned to touch her lips she closed her eyes'she didn't know why??it was the submission to his touch or she didn't want to protest at that moment?though her mind wanted to jerk him away'wanted to cry bitterly but at the same time her heart wanted to wrap this moment in her heart, wanted to savor the feeling of his lips on hers.
He pressed his lips to hers and then parted them to taste her with his tongue. She didn't know which was the force that pushes her to accept his touch and she parted her lips slightly inviting his tongue to explore her mouth'he wanted to hurt her'wanted to give her pain but instead he slipped his arm around her delicate skin and held her softly in his arms kissing her gently And this moment his heart didn't want to remember anything else but was that possible? Those scars'those bruises of the past which were far too painful and were much better forgotten or kept locked away in the very deepest recesses of his mind-explosions. No'a desperate voice of past hit him hard and he pulled away catching his breath she opened her eyes as his lips removed from hers.
