CHAPTER-3
Overwhelmed,Khushi hugged him.Slowly Arnav too wrapped his arms around her.They stayed like that for what seemed like an eternity.Khushi realized what she was doing and pulled herself back. She felt Arnav's gaze on her but looked down determinedly while holding the sides of her dress nervously.
Arnav felt immensely guilty for doubting that she would runaway.He din't know why she had hugged him all of a sudden but clearly she was embarassed now.
Khushi: I am sorry
Arnav: Don't be
Khushi's eyes widened as she looked up to see him smirking at her.
Khushi: It's just that I am afraid of the dark and I would have hugged anybody at the moment even if it had been Hari Prakashji
Arnav: What the!
He pulled her by her arms in anger and leaned towards her pressing her against the wall. The "Hari prakash" comment seemed to have brought the worst out of him.They were so close that they could feel each others breath.Khushi's heartbeat was racing faster than the Lucknow express.His lips were just an inch away from her own. She closed her eyes tightly and wriggled out of his grip.Finally Arnav sensed her discomfort and let go of his grip.
Arnav: Let's have dinner
Khushi: I don't want to have it with you
Arnav: Khushi,Please don't test my patience...
Khushi: Do you have any?
They stood there glaring at each other.
Arnav: HARI PRAKASH
H.P. who had actually been planning to runaway to his village came running out of habit.He was relieved to see Khushi mam was here,atleast he would'nt have to feel his boss's wrath.
Arnav: Set the table ready...for two.
Khushi meekly followed him down not even bothering to glare this time.

Khushi: Jalebis!!!!!!
That was the first thing that she noticed as soon as they reached the dining table. She totally forgot that she was upset and helped herself to the mouthwatering Jalebis in front of her.Arnav stood there mesmerised like a besotted fool. How could jalebis bring out so much of happiness in a person.
Arnav: what were you doing for such a long time in the library?
Khushi: well I was reading and I fell asleep.
Arnav: Khushi...you can go anywhere in this house and do whatever
you want but stay away from the West side of the house.
Khushi knew better than to argue about this by the look on his face and the tone he spoke in. She simply nodded her head in response.
Khushi: Arnavji I was just wondering If I could just go and visit my
parents,you know see to see how babuji is doing.
Arnav: No
Khushi; But...
Arnav: Khushi they have left for delhi,my family doctor is going to
personally look after your dad's treatment.
Khushi: What? how could you? You mean...
Arnav: why Khushi? are'nt you happy that your father is getting the
best treatment.
Khushi: Of course I am,But I never even got to say goodbye,din't they
even enqire about me?
Khushi was in tears now and Arnav just stood there helpless.
Arnav: Stop it Khushi, they have just gone to Delhi and you have told
them that you have joined here as a stay over housekeeper so
why would they enqire?
Khushi: you are the most insensitive person I've ever met.I wanted to
be with my father during his treatment.
Arnav: He's got other people to take care of him you just "stay with me".
khushi's nostrils flared in anger as she pushed him back.
Khushi: You make me sick Mr.Raizada.
Arnav watched her run up the stairs wiping away her tears.why could'nt he do anything right with this girl,he had thought that she would be happy hearing that her father was being given the best treatment.

Hey! Devi Maiya, Why is this happening to me?.Why can't I be with my parents when they need me the most?.Khushi knew that she had to be grateful that Arnav was providing her father with the best treatment available. But right now she was just angry at him for hiding such an important thing from her.
For the next few days Khushi ignored Arnav completely and refused to talk to him.Arnav felt restless but decided to give her some time to come around as he was feeling guilty.Even though Khushi was not talking to him they always ate together in silence.Khushi spent most of the time reading books in the library or in the garden.She had completely taken over Arnav's garden unaware that it was his private place and he never let anybody in there.For some reason Arnav realized that he liked Khushi being in his garden,it was as if he had nurtured his garden all these years just for
Khushi.

IN UPCOMING CHAPTERS
1. Khushi resumes her college,Her best friend Rishab is introduced(jealous factor for Arnav).
2.Anjali visits Arnav in Lucknow(for Khushi to get to know him better)
3.Khushi goes to the west wing of the house.
4.Arnav takes Khushi to delhi to visit her parents
