This story seems to strike a chord with probably every human emotion it stumbles upon. At times grief, sometimes passion, nostalgia and here fear, revulsion. I don't know if you write them down in that manner purposely, but it definitely makes Kalarikkal House a strikingly unique, pleasantly refreshing and a highly engaging read! Terrific chapter :D

Oh! So he died of overdose? Or worse, did he kill himself off or something? You know, purposefully? Something about Kashi's mood when she speaks about her brother makes me think the sisters know something more about their brother's death that is unknown to all, and which makes it all the more painful for them.

Or I might be totally wrong! :P

And the history of Serpent Worship. I already knew it, courtesy my very loving grandma! But it was really nice reading it. Read it out to my mother too. :)

I finally caught with the chapters!!

They are both slowly sharing with each other and they are getting comfortable with each other.. the small touches are welcome.. she easily held his hand!

I was stalking too but this is such a satisfying chapter to make up for it. One thing for sure, your writing evokes the atmosphere of the place. I have never been to such a worship but I still have a visual in front of my eyes based solely on your writing.

Arnav is in for a rough night I think, between his nightmare memories, his acid experiences and now the knowledge that her brother ODed. Don't know why but I keep expecting something almost mystical to happen by the end of this worship.

There were so many things I loved in your update today..

The important one is "those that provide security and safety do become Gods in some sense, don't they?" very true!

The nature's beauty, story behind serpent worship all were excellently picturized.

The story is taking interesting twists n turns! :-) waiting for more!

I am left wondering what motive Pallavi or Kashi have behind taking Arnav to the Sarpam Thullal, Do they not forget that their enemy is also a human being living in the same house as their own; knowing he wishes to snatch it away from them. Do they sense he is in some moral trouble? Do they feel obligated towards him in any way? Is it self-preservation? Is it Kashi's wish to get him to believe in her world and the charms of her land?

Kashi comes to his rescue again…..how does she do that?…by asking him to admire her beauty. I like her ingenuity of distracting him from the worship that had obviously unsettled him.

He does have a history of substance abuse which she is unaware of and the reason for her mentioning her brother leaves us guessing….

Be it acid…cocaine….heroine….opium…. meth…or any known drug used by man, whether it has a pleasant effect or not.

I am tripping on this story, and how……….

wonderful update.has been stalking ur update.

loved how arnav found a remedy for his fears.

can clearly visualise the scene of them walking n at the nagatara.it was fantastic description.im at loss for words devi.just understand u excelled as usual.

kashi is so intelligent beyond everything.pallavi is sensible n arnav is a proper human.often i hv the feeling if kashi r nambootiri r ghosts.im really sorry for this wierd thot.but the atm u create leaves me under s spell n i imagine the worst.sorry.
