Part 8
Khushi finished eating sev puri and both Arnav and Khushi sat on the sofa talking.
Moments later Arnav lay down on the sofa, kept his head on Khushi's lap and placed his legs on the foot of the sofa.Khushi was surprised and her heart burst full of love for this incredible man who is her husband.She gently placed her hands on his head and started stroking his hair lovingly.
At the touch of her hands on his head,Arnav closed his eyes and felt contended.He felt peaceful in laying like that,with Khushi gently carassing his hair.
He remembered how his mom used to do the same thing,whenever he came home from school all tired and placed his head on her lap in this similar way and how she used to stroke his hair just like how Khushi is doing now.He sighed in contentment a small smile playing at the corner of his lips.
They remained like that for sometime in comfortable silence,finally happy to be together without any interuption.After few minutes,Khushi spoke up her hands continued its mild massage on his scalp and Arnav's eyes were still closed.
"Arnavji??"
"Hmmm?"
"Ghar main sab kaise hain? Aur di ki thabeth kaisi hai"
"Ghar main sab teek hain Khushi Aur di bhi.Kal unhe weekly check up ke liye clinic lekhar jaa na hai"
She nodded " Teek hain" after a pause "Arnavji humme sab ki bohot yaad aathi hai.Kaas kar ke aap ka " she said the last line almost in a whisper feeling suddenly shy in admitting it to him.
However Arnav heard it.He opened his eyes and a wide smiled broke out on his face.He smirked "Really Khushi ?"
She nodded shyly.
He smirked widely and lifted his hand behind her neck and pulled her head closer to him.Without giving her a chance to pull back he quickly placed his lips on hers.Pouring all his love in that single kiss.
When they finally broke apart both started breathing heavily and Khushi quickly pulled her head back.Her face all flushed and her thoroughly kissed lips all swollen.She couldnt stop blushing.
He smirked at the sight thinking she looked best when she is blushing.Her entire face seemed to glow in red.And decided to do everything in his power to make her blush every chance he got.He smiked again at that thought.
He spoke huskily "You know Khushi tumhare bina aaj kal ghar jaane ka mann hi nahi kartha.I hate going back to our room every night.Tumhare bina main wahaan bohot lonely feel kartha hoon" he admitted finally to her.He no longer feel like hiding his feelings from her.
She smiled tearfully hearing his admission made her happy."Arnavji hummare halaath bhi bilkul waise hi hain.Aap ke bina hum bohot akheli mehsoos karthe hain "
Arnav who still remained in the same position, lifted his hand and held her cheek "Tum akheli nahi ho Khushi main hamesha tumhare saath rahoonga.I hate being away from you.You are the one who wanted to stay away "
She placed her own hand on top of Arnav's which was holding her cheek and she replied "Arnavji hum yeh sab Di keliye toh kar rahe.Kuch din main sab teek ho jayega " She smiled at him reassuringly although Arnav saw her smile wobbling on the sides.
Arnav nodded "I understand but i dont like it " he folded his hands and said that a bit angrily.He hated the whole situation.
Khushi smiled at his frustration.She hugged him and kissed him on the forehead.Arnav looked at her surprised.This is the first time she had initiated a kiss on him.Khushi immeadiately blushed and looked away shyly.
Arnav took hold of her hands and kissed her palms.They sat and talked about their families for sometime.They heard a knock at the door.Both of them jerked apart.Khushi pushed Arnav off panicked and saw the clock.
She gasped her eyes widening it was nearly 7.30pm."Hey Devi Maiyaa saade saath baje?? lagtha hain buaji aur amma babuji aagai " she started figeting.
"Khushi relax tumhe panic hone ki zarootath nahin " he touched her shoulders trying to reassure her.He was also surprised to see the time.It just felt as if he was here only for few minutes but infact it was more than 4 hours.'Where did the time go ' he thought.
"Relaax? hum kaise relaax karenge? Agar buaji aur amma babuji ne aapko yahaan dekhenge toh kya sochenge? "
"Khushi iss main soch ne ke liye kya hai? Patni ho tum meri aur main iss ghar ka damaad jo hoon.Jab chahe main yahaan aa saktha hoon.Pehle tum darwaasa kholo "
She nodded and opened the door.Her eyes widened in shock at buaji,amma and babuji on the other side.
"Hair re Nanda Kisore ! Yeh sanka devi darwaja khol ne mein itna dher kyun lagadhi? Ka kar rahi thi "
"Ah woh hum "
"Arey Parameswari pehle raasthe se hato " Buaji pushed and stepped inside.Garima simply shook head smiling and pushed Shashi's wheel chair stepping inside.
They all were surprised to see Arnav inside."Hi Aunty ,Namesthe Buaji " he said causally.
Buaji and garima gazed at their damaad whose hair was a complete mess and then looked back at Khushi.Who was standing nervously figeting with her dupatta.Realization dawned on them.Both Buaji and Garima looked each other and burst out laughing.
For once Arnav felt embarassed and he looked at Khushi who was blusing from head to toe and refused meeting his eyes.
Buaji recovered first "Arey Arnav babua tum kab aaye ho "
"Ah ji buaji.. Actually main abhi aaya,aap sab se milne par Khushi ne kehrahe the ki aap logon ne clinic gaye hain "
Khushi joined in "haa haan Buaji abhi abhi hum Arnavji se keh rahi thi aap log aane waale hai.Hai na Arnavji ? "
Garima decided to save them from the embarassment "Koi baath nahi babua aap pehle betiya.Khussi tum daamadji ko kuch khane ,peene ko dhiya? "
Arnav answered before Khushi "Nahi Aunty am fine.Actually mujhe chal na chahiye.Main iss raasthe par jaa raha tha toh socha aap sabse miloon"
"Accha" buaji replied teasingly "Koi baath nahi babua tum kal bhi aa sakthe ho hum sabse mile ne " she looked at Khushi who was blushing furiously at being caught "hai na titaliya ?"
Khushi looked down shyly.Arnav said "teek hain Aunty,buaji main abhi chaltha hoon " he said bye to everyone he glanced at Khushi one last time and left quickly.
