In an earlier chapter Arnav too spoke about having only a male child; though he later justified that he did not want to love any other girl like he loves Khushi. I wonder what is up with the siblings so hell bent on having sons.

Ah ha…poor Arnav is always misunderstood, he said he wanted sons only to let Khushi know, she is the most important girl in his life. He is not too keen on kids at the moment, so gender has no significance.

Coming to Anjali….it is to gain importance in her father in law's eyes, nothing else.

"She needs and deserves all the support Arnavji; you Raizadas are not an easy lot" she said laughing.

"Point noted Bhabhi…point noted" he called out turning in the direction of his room, dreading an antagonized wife.

Anjali is such a pest.. i have seen people like her.. so interfering and advising all the time on how to lead your life.. she is talking about khushi and indira's duty to make their husband's life easy and what the hell is she doing with Krishna? I feel sorry for the guy..

Arnav is in for a hell lot when he goes to his room..

Loved the update.. every chapter of your story is interesting.. i have never felt a drag any time in this story..

ughhh i got so irritated with anjali in this part.. poor krishna, god knows how he tolerates her...:/
I hate people especially women who talk about giving birth to sons , so that they become a family heir .. why is there a problem with girls becoming a family heir... :/
I love INDIRA... <3
Lols arnav is gonna have a hard time pacifying his wife... waiting for the next part.

Recently i met one of my high school friends (actually 5 of us from high school had a small re-union after 15+ years), we discussed so many thing from children, education, jobs and the inevitable discussion of in-laws. when some of us made the comment that it is so common for us Indians to have this In-laws troubles, this friend of mine said it is the same story every where and when we said "you mean Indians abroad" she said "No, it is the same across the cultures, just watch Everybody Loves Raymond and you'll know"

love it...
extrememly realistic potrayal of a political house..the endless cups of coffees and teas and juice.. and not just during election time..
very realistic joint family dynamics going on.
but i am glad the argument fizzled out in the end..

You are so right, it not just in India, everywhere and what a funny example you give 'Everybody loves Raymond'. That sitcom could be set in any country or any language and it would ring true.

This topic of having kids starts off from the time the wedding date is fixed and I find it so funny. People cannot manage their homes and dishing out advice to others.

^^For the above- I too love "Everybody loves Raymond" :')
I'm sorry for being this late. This is something that was told to me recently, and the update just reminded me of this particular anecdote from my life.I was the first girl in my family after sixty five years... and obviously, since it was a very happy occassion, a huge celebration was thrown in order.
but in the party, a certain guest commented about my mother being cursed because the Mishra heirline had not been diminished by the birth of a girl for about 65 years years. Of course, for obvious reasons, my grandmom (who's temper is famed for its ability to erupt on you any moment... and is ten times worse than the mighty ASR) showed the particular guest her place.
It is funny how people seem to think other people's life is their business. If it is not career, it is marriage. when marriage is checked off the list, it is a child. When a child is also done, it is a companion for the said child... and so on and forth. It is downright annoying, sometimes... REALLY.
It is women like Anjali who absolutely get my nerve up, really. Hmph.
I'm guessing Arnav will have to sleep on the couch? I certainly hope so. I love the camaderie between Arnav and Indira.
Thank you for the PM!
