I *love* these scenes between Amma and Khushi. They support the history of the story you have built--how it was that her marriage to Arnav came about, that it was based upon the respect that Khushi had for the desires of both her father and Amma. Lovely.
This bit made my heart clench. So poignant. The guilt. The wish to reclaim lost ground:
"I feel he gave me this reason to remind me about the months we were incompatible and distant. Not sure if it his way to get back at me Amma, I was horrible to him then, what if he takes it out on me this way? He is not that mean, but I can't get myself to accept his reasoning. What am I to do Amma?" eyes closed, voice sounding so defeated.
