Part 4:
Arnav's car screeched to a halt in front of buaji's house. The whole time in the car khushi had just one thought in her mind, n that was not of the fight they had on the first meeting but the thought was of the simple touch of arnav's hand in her hand. She could still feel the tingling sensation of his cold hands in her hot palm. N from that moment everything else was out of khushi's mind. She was completely aware of arnav's closeness in the confined space of his car.
Arnav had never seen anyone going against him or arguing with him. But this girl was the first one to do so n somewhere he didn't mind her talk at all. In any other circumstance, he would have left the caf as soon as he would have realized that the girl has not arrived but in khushi's case, every norm n notions were falling apart. He didn't mind waiting for her or the fight with her. He actually liked the fact that the girl had some opinion of her own n was not just a puppet who will do anything he says.
But will he agree for further meeting or marriage after the fight? Khushi wondered, sad by the fact that she actually fought at the first meeting which should be memorable experience for both.
Will she say NO or YES? That's was the biggest question arnav had in his mind n was actually hoping for a yes.
Suddenly, someone knocked the windowpane of khushi's side, when both realized that they were actually sitting in the car lost in their own thoughts.
Khushi immediately opened the door n moved out of the car. She stilled for a second to see buaji outside the car, confused n irritated.
"What are you doing in there for so long" buaji finally asked when khushi stood up in front of her, looking lost.
"Ah'..nothing!" khushi stammered when suddenly arnav came outside the car.
Arnav saw a middle aged lady, dressed in cotton white sarees with a red scarf tied on the forehead n spectacles put on it, watching him with keen eyes n gr8 interest.
"You must be arnav" buaji finally said with a smile.
"Yes, Namaste'.but I actually'.." arnav said to the lady, expecting an introduction from her side.
"She is my buaji'..I am currently staying with her in Delhi" khushi said introducing buaji to arnav. She had spoken for the first time with arnav after that fight.
Arnav nodded at this new information n smiled again to buaji.
"arre babua'..I was actually wondering, who is the guy, garima has asked khushi to see'..but now I finally met you" buaji started conversing with arnav while khushi was sidelined of any further conversation.
Arnav was smiling n talking to buaji giving khushi hidden glimpses n smirks. Khushi could not help but stare at the most amazing face with the beautiful brown pools of eyes n the amazingly sexy smirk on the lips that has spoken fire an hour ago.
"You have come for the first time in my house, I can't let you go without offering you sweets n tea''" khushi heard from her bua when the beautiful trance broke n reality came in.
She must have been attracted to him but that doesn't mean he is interested in her or will say yes to his family for this relationship''something suddenly changed in her heart n she could feel a horrid pain in her chest'..she doesn't know him but she was hurting at the thought of losing him.
"Sure, I will love to see your wonderful house from inside" came the amazing sexy voice of arnav that surprised khushi. He wants to come in'..does that mean?
Khushi was confused!
They fought!
His hand was on her hand!
She is attracted towards him!
But that doesn't mean anything'.he is just being a gentleman, making happy the lady who invited himin the house.
All the three walked in to the house.
Arnav entered the wooden door of the house. Neatly arranged sofa was put at one corner of a convincingly good size room with the dining table at the other end n the corridor going further to other rooms of the house.
"Please, have a seat" buaji said humbly to arnav directing him towards the sofa.
"Actually buaji, I need to go washroom" arnav said standing n dominating the whole living room.
"Oh, ya sure'..khushi, take him to the washroom''while I make tea for all of us" buaji instructed khushi.
Khushi couldn't help but follow the order. She was hurt that they both might not have a future together n so just wanted to keep distance between him n her. She mindlessly started walking towards the washroom which was in her bedroom.
Arnav could see the disappointment in khushi's face from the time he has entered the house. He could clearly see that khushi was upset with him because of the fight.
Suddenly when arnav and khushi reached a room with a small side table lamp on, giving a dim light in the room, arnav took khushi's arm and cornered her to the wall.
Khushi's eyes widened suddenly when she realized what arnav was doing. Arnav couldn't help but give a smile at her reaction.
"Ar'..Arnav what are you doing?" khushi could merely speak as she was well aware of the closeness arnav was standing.
Arnav loved the smoothness of skin of her arm in his hand. He wondered if he will love n enjoy the same when he will touch her full lips, her long neck, the roundness of breast or the smoothness of her waist. Arnav was forgetting all the thing in his mind n was really surprised at his body reaction when khushi stood so near to him.
"I know, you had right to ask me?" arnav finally said to her looking directly in her eyes.
"Ask you'.ask you what?" khushi finally managed to speak, very confused with the conversation.
"Ask me about my past girlfriends'..they were nothing special, it's just that some ended very badly n I refrain talking about it" arnav said, wondering why was he actually explaining her?
"Ah'..arnav, I''"khushi could not form the words, she actually forgot about the whole fight, she was this all time actually lost in her dreamland wondering exactly how it felt to be in arnav's arm.
"khushi, I know I should tell you everything now, it's just that I need some time'.I will tell you my past but I need some time." Arnav could finally say what was in his heart.
Khushi could not believe at what was she hearing'.she hadn't expected this'.she wanted to say that it doesn't matter, what was his past, the present n the future were the things that only mattered for khushi but her thoughts could not get the words.
Arnav saw a shocked n then a satisfied expression in khushi's face. She really was looking beautiful n had the most amazing face arnav have ever saw.
Arnav suddenly realized how innocent she was, her every emotion was clearly visible on her beautiful face. Suddenly he had the urge to feel her, to touch her. He moved closer to khushi pinning her against the wall.
Khushi was so shocked to see arnav this close. She has never seen any man this close or haven't felt this way. Instead of feeling uneasy or uncomfortable, she was actually enjoying the close proximity with arnav. She could feel his body touching from toe to chest. His cologne mingled in the air. She wanted to touch him, to feel him.
Arnav saw khushi's breathe hitched up; he could feel her breathe on him. Khushi smelled of rose n jasmine. He could see her innocent expectations n desire for him. He moved his hand touching her soft rosy cheeks n the bottom lips, he could see khushi closing her eyes, and he wanted to kiss her, to explore her when suddenly buaji called.
"khushi, can you help me with this taking out?" buaji shouted from the kitchen breaking the wonderful heaven that was created.
Khushi suddenly opened her eyes n saw arnav, his deep brown eyes looking at her with passion that left khushi gasping. She could feel color rising on her cheeks.
Arnav's hand was on the both side of khushi;
"Arnav, let me go'.please" khushi said without directly seeing in his eyes.
Arnav saw khushi's reaction n smirked. He moved backward distancing himself from her, giving space to go.
Khushi ran out as soon as she saw his hands moving n giving her space to go.
Arnav came out in the living room, he saw khushi standing beside dining table, not looking at him at all n buaji keeping tea n snacks out from tray.
"Buaji, it's late, I think I should go. Anyways, we will meet often now" arnav said looking at buaji n then khushi.
Khushi heard him, n couldn't help but look up. She saw him looking at her n smirking. All the memory of his touch, his words, everything came back n she couldn't help but blush.
"We will meet often" her heart danced at these words. So, he has forgotten all about the fight. He will say yes, he wanted a future with her.
Arnav insisted on having tea some other time n left.
Buaji was happy meeting arnav.
"Such a nice guy, what do you think khushi? Do you like him? What will you say to garima tomorrow?" buaji asked these many question in span of few minutes trying to figure out what was in khushi's mind.
"I need some time to think. Can I go to my room n sleep" khushi managed to make an excuse n move out to think about all this alone.
Arnav drove back to shantivan, he could not remove khushi from his mind. Everything that happened on their first meeting was revolving around his mind.
Arnav knew that as he will enter his house, everyone will pounce on him to know his decision, his answer.
He braced himself n entered the house but he couldn't find anyone at home. The darkness with dim lights welcomed him at the entrance. When, one of the staff came out of the dark n said;
"Sir, everyone has gone to sharma's for the home warming party, they will all be late." Arnav heard him n was happy to know that he have some time to think about him n khushi.
