What an episode! Needless to say it was one of the best!⭐️ These two don't even need words to communicate! Arnav was in pain (something I couldn't bear and that made me re-think maybe I don't want a redemption track after all! Just a simple heart-felt sorry or maybe not even that.. ohk should get back to the point) and Khushi broke down seeing her love in such a state… and so Arnav stayed strong and supported her… but this is something I'd like to see the other way round as well… so I thought I'll write this… here it goes…
LENDING STRENGTH
It was the morning after Arnav had thrown Shyam out of the RM. He thought that maybe now he could go talk to his Di. It killed him when she had told him she didn't want anyone; not even him. But she deserved to have that lone time. She was in a mess he helped build, she would need time to forgive him and understand that he was only thinking about her.
He called for breakfast and coffee and went with it to his Di. He knocked on the door. There was no answer. He knocked again, harder this time calling out to her "Di?". Still he heard no response.
"Di please darwaza kholo! Di?!!!!!" he called out louder. The entire Raizada family heard him and came rushing towards Anjali's room, Khushi being the first. Everyone was dead tensed.
"Anjali bitiya??"
"Di?!"
The cries of the family bounced back the closed doors. Arnav handed khushi the food laden tray deciding to break the door. Khushi looked at him, fear evident in her eyes; the same emotion Arnav felt.
Just then the door opened. Anjali stepped out. Relief flooded through everyone. She even looked better. She had taken a bath, though the traces of the cyclone she passed through still remained. Her eyes were swollen, no doubt because of crying all night.she looked very pale, obviously exhausted.
"Anjali bitiya?" nani and mami stepped forward and nani caressed her hair.
"Aapne to hume dara hi diya tha bitiya!" nani said.
"Hum thik hai nani."
"Chalo bitiya… kal tumne din bhar se kuch nahi khaya hai… aisi halat mein itni der bhuka rehna thik nahi hai…" mami said.
They took anjali inside and made her have her breakfast. She ate a little reluctantly. Arnav was happy that her Di was coping up. He wrapped his palm around khushi's hand. Khushi looked at him and back at Di. She too was happy that she wasn't the reason for destroying Anjali.
"Bus nani" she said.
"Di thoda aur-"
"humne kaha na bus!" she cried out sharply. Arnav's hold around Khushi's hand tightened, and Khushi responded with the same gesture.
"nani, abhi hume kahi jana hai…" she trailed off.
"bitiya-"
"humara jana zaruri hai."
"Di par abhi-"
She got up and so did nani and mami seated beside her.
"Bitiya, abhi aapka kahi bhi jaana thik nahi hai…" nani said.
"Hum apna khayal rakhege…"
"Thik hai di. Mai bhi aapke saath-"
"Nahi Arnav! Hum driver ke saath chale jaayege." she said vehemently.
Arnav. That was almost like a slap on his face. Di never called him Arnav. He was always her chotey… Khushi couldn't believe her ears. There was such sharpness in her voice which she never even imagined Di to have, let alone for her chotey. She placed her other hand on top of their already held hands. Everyone was taken aback too.
Arnav gathered himself up.
"Nahi di… mai-"
"Humne kaha na, hum chale jaayege!" she shouted back, and then continued in a comparatively softer tone "hum aate hai nani. Aap chinta mat kijiyega." Anjali said and walked away.
Nobody was able to understand what had taken Anjali. She sounded venemous. Even when she was not snapping on Arnav there was something cold and sharp in the way she spoke.
Arnav couldn't take this. It was too much for him! He ran out of the room to his, leaving khushi's hand mid air as he pulled his out. Tears oozed out of Khushi's eyes. The storm had not passed away; it was just the beginning.
Khushi stood in their room seeing Arnav sitting on the ground beside the pool. She wanted to tell him everything would be fine, but she wasn't sure herself. She took slow careful steps towards him.
"Kyun khushi? Ye sab kyun ho raha hai?" Arnav asked softly sensing her presence.
She walked to him. She placed a hand on his shoulder, and when he turned Khushi couldn't recognize the man. She had never seen him so vulnerable… so broken up… she had never seen him cry. She couldn't help himself and let herself sit on the chair behind her. Slowly her hand reached to caress his head. But Arnav buried his face in her lap. She stroked his head.
"Khushi, di mujhse baat kyon nahi kar rahi? Tum unse bolo na mujhse baat kare… tumhe to pata hai na maine aisa kyon kiya… unhe samjhao na!" he said through his sobs. Fear took over Khushi. She could handle his shouting. His taunts. She could even bear accusing her to be at fault… but she couldn't see Arnav, her ASR so weak and shattered. It was too much. She couldn't help but cry too.
"Agar vo bhi mujhe maa ki tarah chod ke chali gayi to mai-"
"shhh.. " khushi silenced him. She would not let Arnav break down. She would be his strength. She made him look up and wiped his tears. Then she slid down the chair to sit next to him.
"Aisa kuch nahi hoga… vo aapki Di hai… aapse utna hi pyaar karti hai jitna aap unse… shayad thoda samy lage par unhe bhi such pe ek din yakeen ho jaayega." She said hoping for her words to be true.
"Khushi, mujhe lagta hai maine unhe kho diya… unke pyaar ko kho diya…" he replied.
"Aisa nahi hota Arnavji… pyaar kabhi khota nahi hai… haan vo abhi humse naraz hai… lekin-"
"Di mujhe maaf kar degi na khushi? Vo mujhse baat karegi na? mujhe firse chotey bulayegi na?"
It was killing khushi to see Arnav in so weak… but she couldn't give up. It was time for her to be there for him and help him gather himself back. It was time for her to lend him her strength…
"Haan Arnavji. Haan…"
And then Arnav hugged her tight. And she hugged him back, stoking his hair in an attempt to reassure him that soon things will be fine.
Let me know what you felt… do you want something like this to happen? To let for once Khushi be the one lending her strength to Arnav??? Silent viewers – likes and comments…😊
