Hi everyone,

Please read this very important note as it answers a lot of questions with regards to updates.

Firstly I was wondering would it be convenient for you guys if I created an FB page for my FF's and put up when I am going to update on there? The idea has been playing on my mind for a while but I wont create the page if it is not beneficial for anyone.

Secondly, I feel like the number of responses that I am getting for the amount of work I put in to these FF's is not enough. I have to make time just to update which is not easy with my heavy university schedule so I have decided that if I do not get enough responses for my FF's then they will go indefinitely on hold. I honestly have no other choice because I work really hard and put in a lot of effort but I feel like I am not getting very many responses.

Thirdly, I will try my level best to update Pyar Hain Ya Saza? and Road To Redemption sometime in the next fortnight but if not then definetly at the beining of March. Its just that February is a very busy month for me.

And lastly thank you for the bday wishes I got from everyone for yesterday.

Please PM me or Scrap me or comment on my FF's about the issues I have mentioned.

Thank you for the birthday wishes everyone.

There are two parts to this chapter Part A is in Arnav's point of view and part B is in Khushi's.

This chapter is dedicated to my Sissy Heer aka Hira_Arnie for giving me such a beautiful birthday present.
Chapter 16A:

Arnav had fallen asleep working into the late hours of the night. He had no idea that he had gotten so many calls from the mental institution. So when he woke up in the morning and saw all the missed calls and the voice messages he jumped onto the first train to Mumbai and raced to Anjali's institution.

Once there Arnav got the news that turned his greatest fear into reality. His sister was gone. The only person for whom he was now surviving was gone. He felt as if he had no purpose anymore. Everything he had now just seemed materialistic. His real world had been his sister. This world was merely just one he was under a compulsion to live in. But he managed to survive in this world knowing that one day his sister would come back to him. But now it just seemed like this world was nothing.

Anger seeped through him once more. He just felt lost once more like he had when his mother had demised. But the only difference was that this time the one person who had picked him up and nursed him back to life was now no longer here. Arnav left the institution wordlessly not listening to a word the doctor was saying. Words such as 'badly burnt', 'not recognisable' and 'we are sorry' we the only things that he had the ability to hear at this precise moment. He just walked and walked. His car was in the car park but funnily enough he did not go towards it. It was as if his feet were guiding him somewhere on their own accord. He did not know where to and he did not care because right now he did not have the energy. He did not have the energy to fight back. Not even with his inner self.

After what seemed like a long time his feet finally came to a halt. Finally he looked down to where his feet had gotten him to. He finally looked around to his surroundings. His feet had brought him here once more. He had not been here in so long. He just did not have the heart to come down here because coming down here meant that he had to acknowledge it. And this was one fact that he never wanted to acknowledge. It was a fact that he avoided acknowledging at the most of times.

Arnav Singh Raizada was currently standing in a place that he had not visited for the last fifteen years. Arnav Singh Raizada stood at the foot of his mother's grave. Being here the first time around had been hard enough and the second time had been torture so Arnav Singh Raizada had decided not to push his luck and go for a third time. They may say it was third time lucky but knowing his luck it would be third time unlucky. And so Arnav Singh Raizada had avoided coming here again until now that was.

Arnav could not work out why upon learning of the death of his sister had his feet dragged him here? But deep down he knew the answer. It was his sub conscience pulling him here. It was his sub conscience's way of telling him that he had once more lost his mother.

Though fifteen years had come and past Arnav still remembered the death of his mother as if it was yesterday. How could anyone forget such a day? It was not the day where he had just lost his mother. He had lost so much more than just his mother that day.

A young angry boy by nature, nurture was the only thing that could have stopped him being the boy he was today and that was the truth. Everyone thought that he was a man but he was not he was still a troubled messed up boy, a little lost boy, that was yet awaiting his absolution.

Arnav knelt down at the foot of his mother's grave feeling guilty that it had been fifteen years since he had last been here. Anyone would think that he was an ungrateful boy who had no regards for his mother whatsoever. He looked around the grave yard and saw how the other graves were so neat and tidy and well kept. That was because people came to visit and kept them tidy. But his mother had no visitors not even one. The only visitor his mother had had been taken away to a mental institution thanks to one cursed girl.

It's funny how that girl was called Khushi. It has been said that people are usually the epitome of their names but this girl was anything but. She was not Khushi she was anything but. She did not know how to give people happiness she only knew how to snatch it away from people. And he now blamed her for the death of his sister. If she had not done whatever it was that she had done to his sister then she would not have gone to the mental asylum nor would she have got caught in the fire and die.

Was it not enough thought Arnav that he was born to a father he loathed? Was it not enough that he had to watch his mother and sister being ill-treated from the side-lines helplessly knowing that there was nothing he could do to help them? Was it not enough that his mother got taken away from him from a young age? Was it not enough that he was deprived of a mothers love? Was it not enough that he had to lose his childhood and grow up much earlier that the average child? Was all that not enough? Was talking all that from him not enough that God thought that he needed to take even more from him? Now his sister had to be taken from him too?

In a way it was good thought Arnav. At least now he doesn't have anything else of value that he could lose. Everything that meant something to him was now gone. Finished. Over. Arnav only thought this but by no means was it true. Little did he know the game that life had in store for him? Little did he know that there was a girl out there in one part of the world that would in just a few months' time become more important to him that his own life. Little did he know?

Arnav just sat and stared at his mother's grave. It was hard to believe that the woman who had been the centre of his whole world'no his own universe , the woman who had been a living breathing person had now had her life summed up by a mere few words that were etched on to her grave stone.

Arnav did not know where to begin when it came to his mum. He had fifteen years' worth of talking to do with his mum. He had a feeling that he would not have to tell his mum anything. He was under the notion that his mum had been with him always. From the day she died and every day after that. But that was the amazing thing about mums wasn't it? They were those amazing magical creatures that possessed the ability to know every single minute detail about their child even sometimes before the child themselves acknowledged such a detail but even despite that they still listened patiently and intently to what their child had to say. Maybe that was why after God the most importance was given to a mother.

Arnav just sat there for a long time and spoke his heart out to his mother. He knew that it probably would not help. But right now all he needed was for someone to listen to him without judging him. He just needed an ear. And what better person to come to than his mother?

Arnav did not know how long he had sat there just talking to his mother. But one thing he did know was that he felt so much better at the end of it. He felt like a huge burden had been released from inside him. And there was one more thing that he had managed to do. He had managed to overcome his fear of visiting his mother's grave. Numerous times after he and Anjali had visited their mother the first time after her funeral Anjali had always begged Arnav to come with her. But Arnav had always made excuses saying that he can't. He was always too busy or too tired or had a deadline the next day.

It's not that he did not want to it was that he could not. He could not come to visit her because he could not accept that she was gone. Truth be told he hated going there. He hated to have to go there and see that though the only thing that separated his mother and him was the earth it was still so much more than that.

When he saw the dead body it was no longer his mum's body. It was someone else's body. He no longer recognised her. It no longer looked like his mum anymore. The roses checks his mother had were missing, that amazing smell that could be associated only with his mother was missing, and that aura that his mother set up was missing. What stood in front of him then was just a body. By no means was it his mother. He just could not deal with this any longer and so he would not come to visit his mother. But today after all this time he had come. And he was glad that he had. Because had he not he would have been afraid forever.

But, whilst there he had made another promise also. He had promised his mother that he would make the girl that had done this to them pay he would make the girl who had done this to them. He would make her suffer as much as she made them suffer. She was the reason why all that was left of his sister was ashes. Khushi Kumari Gupta you will pay for what you have done you will! Thought Arnav as he got off the floor and walked off with a new found purpose. Now the fire of revenge that had been ignited in him was now his new found purpose for life he thought as he walked out of the grave yard.

This chapter is from Khushi's point of view.
Chapter 16 B:

All Khushi could think of was why did she feel a sense of familiarity when she looked at that woman. There was something there in that woman's eyes that made her feel as if she was a participant in her pain too. Khushi did not know why but she just felt such a sense of familiarity when she saw the pain in that woman's eyes.

Khushi knew that the experiences that she had gone through in life and the pain she had suffered where all things of the past. She knew that they were not things that she could go and change anytime soon. But the second best thing that could be done was that she could was that she could try and eliminate the pain of others.

But never had she felt so emotionally attached to another person's pain as she felt to Anuradha. Khushi did not know what it was that made her so attached to this woman. For a long time she did not understand what that feeling was but then she realised. She felt the presence of a mother from Anuradha.

Khushi did not know why she felt like that but she just decided to embrace the feeling because it felt so good. Khushi did not know what it was but there was something there that just made her want to rest her head in Anuradha's lap and get lost in that motherly like emotion.

Khushi looked up at the time and realised that it was time to pray again so she said told Anuradha and told her that she needed to pray and went off to pray. Khushi performed her ablution and then wrapped her scarf around her head and covered her hair. Once her prayers were performed she prayed for forgiveness. Praying to God was easy but asking for things in her prayers was the hardest thing. She did not know if she still had the right to ask for things in her prayers anymore.

But yet she closed her eyes, put her hands up in the particular praying position and began to pray. But this time the voice in her heart began to pray for Anuradha. She prayed that whatever problems Anuradha had suffered or was still suffering that they came to an end. And then she prayed for the man how was the centre of her entire universe. Though he was putting her through a fate worse than death she still loved him. But it was okay. She would happily live through the pain as long as he was happy.

She finished her prayers and walked out of the multi faith room. When she walked out of the room she had to walk through garden to get t oAnuradha's room as the original entrance had been so busy due to the high level of patients being wheeled in and out. As she was going through the garden she saw a mother and her son sitting on one of the benches. It was such a picturesque scene the son sat with his head on his mother's lap as she stroked his head. She had a huge smile on her face, a look of pure utopia on her face.

Khushi just stared at the mother and son duo and her hand moved instinctively to her womb. Her baby, her source of strength would grace her with their presence soon. She just could not wait to see her source of strength. And in that second just staring at the mother son duo she had a vision of the future. She saw herself sitting on a bed somewhere and she saw her little bundle of joy in her hands cooing away in her arms. She saw herself putting her baby to sleep and then stroking her baby's head just like the mother in front of her was doing to her son. Khushi knew more than anything that she would make that vision come true. She just had too. It was all she had left to live for. So, still smiling she walked into Anuradha's room after having made a quick detour to the kitchen with a tray of food in hand.

She just wanted to do anything and everything that she could do for Anuradha to help her. So the first thing to do was feed her. Khushi began to feed her wordlessly believe that Anuradha might not be happy with her feeding her and might protest. But to Khushi's surprise Anuradha did not protest and began to eat methodically. And that small little gesture made Khushi so happy.

Once Khushi had finished she began to put all the food things away. She came back in and sat with Anuradha. She just watched how Anuradha sat there with a long distant look in her eyes. Seeing this made Khushi's heart bleed. And it made her want to help her even more. Khushi did not know what it was but there was something there that just made her want to put her head in Anuradha's lap just as she had done when her mother was alive. And as if spontaneously with a mind of its own her body did just that. Her head went and rested slowly on Anuradha's lap.

At first Anjali (Anuradha) was startled by such an act by this girl that she felt so attuned to. But after a few seconds it felt as if the girl belonged there. It felt as if God had brought back her dead daughter and put her into her lap once more it was such an amazing feeling. Anjali (Anuradha) did not know what it was but there was just something about that girl that made her want to heal. And so Anjali (Anuradha) began to stroke the girls hair just as she would have done for her long gone daughter.

Khushi could not describe in words even if she tried to the feeling that overcame her when Anuradha began to stroke her hair. She felt as if it as her mother's touch upon her once more. The feeling was no less than the feeling of being on the seventh heaven. Any woman that can make someone feel like they are in the seventh heavens above does not deserve to be in this institution nor does she deserve to be in pain like so thought Khushi. 'Please heal her pain please please please God' chanted Khushi with her eyes as she laid her head on Anuradha's lap. But little did Khushi know that God had long before listen to her prayer's and was already making provision's to answer them. Little did Khuhsi know that Anjali was on the road to recovery. Little did Khushi know that this act that Anjali was committing now of stroking her hair as her head laid in her lap was the first act that Anjali had committed with her own volition in a very very long time. Little did Khushi know that in the span of a few hours she had managed to get Anjali to react something that the doctors had been trying to do for years…
