THis chapter was really sad. The story of her great aunt and uncle was tragic and powerful. The ending was so dramatic in the way you cut it short. I had thought about who Shivan must have bitten in the previous chapter too.
Really addicted to this story, it's very well-written!

I had a question and in the event the same gets explained in the upcoming update ignore my question. Chovva dosham/ Manglik is this the same as Sarpha Dosham? If yes, this dosham is when you may have killed a snake in an earlier life. Once a sarpa samskara is done to appease the Gods the dosham is gotten rid of, like Sarpa Hathyadosha relief. Here you mention they attend a sarpam thullal, is this allowed for someone who has Chovva dosham?

I have seen a sarpa samskara puja at Kukke Subramanya in Dakshina Karnataka, so was curious.

Chapter 17:
Wow a family protector snake. You are one of the few you could write that and make it seem natural. Bravo.

Chapter 18:
Shivan (protector of the family) bite her aunt. That is one powerful statement.

Chapter 19:
Seems like Kashi does not consider marriage to be in her future. Given the tale of her aunt and her stars that was fascinating hint. Really liked how you chose to reveal that to us.

Chapter 20:
The Orwell quote was brilliant.

Chapter 21:
The past seems to be haunting him in many forms. 👏
