CHAPTER 1
Khushi woke up with a sudden jerk with sever head ache ……………… for past days every morning she promised herself not to take sleeping pills again but alas everytime she failed ………………. Sleep must be something which makes you forget everything but at times when pain becomes ur life sleep becomes ur enemy ……………………..Everytime khushi closes her eyes all she could remember was that night when she lost everything …………….. she lost the reason of her existence ,her LOVE …………………..Could she ever call him her love because when u have love many other feelings like Trust , passion , belief , respect tags along ………………..Can lack of these feelings can be called love …………………..
How much ever khushi tries to ignore she can never forget the cause of her sufferings and the person who caused it ……………….. khushi walked to her window and opened the curtains ……………….. The ' beautifull ' garden was visible from her room …………………… unlike every other mornings of her life today she felt disgusted to look her neighbouring house …………………. The house and the people who knowingly or unknowingly gave her nothing but pain …………..
Breaking her thoughts khushi's eyes fell on the servants who were busy decorating the house for the big day ………………….. ' Big Day' her so called engagement only if it was painted with love ……………………. Khuhi vows her life to one who is the sole cause of her existence ,, if not for him she would have died years ago ……………………… she can do anything for him and that is what she is doing now ……………….
Khushi's thoughts were broken by knock at the door ………………….
" coming " she said walking to the door
" good morning " anvesha said with a sweet smile
" aren't u ready yet ? " anvesha asked
" umm I ….. I ll be there in 10 minutes " khushi said
" don't worry take ur own time we all will be waiting but I doubt if maan bro could wait to see you ……………….. he must already be impatient " anvesha said giggling
Khushi gave a fake smile …………………… She managed to politely send anvesha out to get some peace for herself ……………………….
Khushi would have felt guilty to hear anvesha's teasing if she hadn't spoke with maan regarding this engagement a week before………………….. she now knew what is his idea about the whole engagement thing ………………….. they both are doing this for the happiness of one soul Mr.Amarnath Khuranna ………………
Khushi was walking alone in the corridor when she felt someone's gaze on her ………………. She turned to find shyam looking at her with his dirty eyes ………………… khushi felt disgusted ……….
" congrats khushi on ur engagement " he said
" are u not ashamed to talk with after all that happened " khushi said
" what did I do to be ashamed ………..love is not thing to feel shame of " shyam said
" don't use the word love its not for jerk like you " khushi said
" oh so it is for u? …………… I did witness ur true love Khushi " he said sarcastically " why don't u teach me ? "
" she would be glad to teach but only to humans not someone like you " they heard a voice and turned to find maan
Maan came and stood near khushi …………… his eyes were throwing daggers on shyam ………………
" I have already warned you not to come anywhere near khushi " maan said gritting his teeth
" I was just congratulating her " shyam said
" I m quiet it doesn't mean that I can't do anything ……………. If not u at least I respect the relationship we share so go away from my gaze " maan said
Shyam didn't want to argue coz he was well aware of what it might cost him …………… standing in the same room as them after all what happened last time is a miracle …………..so he went …………….
" why don't u fight for urself khushi ? " maan asked
" I lost all the energy maan " she said her eyes forming sorrow " but anyways thanks " she added
" hey did u forget In friendship no sry no thank u " maan said " childhood rules "

Maan lifted his eyebrows
" oops " khushi bit her tongue as both busted into laugh
Khushi's laugh faded when she saw arnav behind maan …………………….. maan turned to look at arnav who was looking at them with pain and jealousy ………...
" do u want to hurt him now ? " maan asked khushi looked at him confused
Maan put his hands around khushi and walked past arnav giving him his famous smirk ……………….
" I can't believe that u loved him " maan said removing his hands once they were away from arnav
" I can't either " khushi said
" I m not gonna stay whole evening in the part as usual u should make some excuse " maan said
" but maan what might uncle think ? " khushi asked
" khush plzzz " maan said and khushi was to agree coz whenever he says Khush it melts her

All tears that possibly a human being could shed was drained from geet's eyes …………………… it was as if her heart was turned to lifeless stone …………………. If she would have known that everything will turn out to be like this she would have gave up her life while enjoying the blissful days with him instead of sulking with his thoughts ………………….
People say if you get pain in love it affects both equally but is that true in her case ?... did he ever love her for that matter ……………….. geet was never a weak girl both physically and mentally but now even her hair strand seemed to burden her ………………..
Why love has to be so painful ?... she trusted him as if a baby in womb would trust its mother but all he did was to break her heart ………………..she was so much mad in love that she was always lost in his eyes thinking that it was her world but when reality stuck her it was too late ………………………..
From childhood she has loved no one but him even now whenever the door bell rings she open with a hope that he would be waiting on his knees there for her and once again take her into his arms the most safest place …………………..
Geet looked at herself in the mirror all the life her was lost …………………… she almond brown eyes was made to blue with lens ……………… her long straight hair was cut short and turned curly……………….. all that he liked about her is now transformed completely except the heart which liked him ………………..
Geet's phone buzzed and she picked it mechanically ………….
" hello "
" ummm ……….. I ll be there " she said cutting the call
Maan was getting ready in his room listening to dev's teasing patiently as he didn't want to create any scene ………………….. Arnav walked into the room and told dev that he was called by his mother which made dev immediately leave ……………….Leaving the two lions in one Den ………

" shouldn't be saying that ? " arnav said
" u lost the right to say that when u left her die and walked away not thinking once about her ……" maan said
" its better if u don't give lecture on not breaking heart " arnav asked
" oh really !!"
" my love is as true as life and I ll not rest before making khushi mine and winning our long time cold war " arnav said ………………" maan singh khuranna be ready to taste failure "
" I have no word failure in my dictionary anyways I ll make sure u forget ur crazy ideas of defeating me Arnav singh Raizada " maan said
Arnav's phone buzzed he looked at the screen and left the room but only giving victory smile to maan ……………….
Maan walked into the hall where everyone gathered ………………….. he was made to stand near khushi ……………….. his heart for some strange reason felt restless …………………… he looked everywhere without knowing what actually he was searching for …………………..
Khushi was talking to some relatives when arnav stood before her …………………….. her finger trembeled she had a weird feeling as if she want to run away from him …………………… sensing that maan stood blocking her from arnav …………………..arnav moved beside maan with a smirk which made maan lose the account of what is happening around him ……………..
" geet " he heard himself say
Khushi looked at maan then geet more of surprised than confused
Arnav looked at khushi intensely
Geet looked at maan with strange emotion
Maan well he lost sense to think
