Chapter # 7
Choice of ways.
"I promise you to bring you to witness moon every night", this time he smiled and Nupur saw his dimples digging in and smiled back, "are you actually proposing to me?"

"I can do that as well, shall I?", he reduced distance, and for the first time, Nupur felt her cheeks warming with a pink flush.

She never knew she will want to say him a YES. Yes. That was what she wanted to say, she wanted him to say those words which will lead her towards a more deep color of pink. She lowered her eyes and was deciding upon something to ignore this feeling when a car horn interrupted them,

"dad is home", she said breathless, and removing his hand from her waist she ran downstairs leaving Mayank alone, who just took a deep breath.

Nupur ran down the stairs and rushed in her room. Sashi Bhushan saw her running down and panicking he wanted to stop her when he saw Mayank coming down the stairs,

"relax Mr Bhushan , she is fine, in fact perfectly fine", he said with a smile and Sashi Bhsuhan felt earth shrinking beneath his feet,.Being a father he read the expressions on Nupur's face.

"are you giving her a farce of love?', he asked

It doesn't seem like a farce", she said under her breath. Standing under the water shower was camouflaging her tears, and the cold water was proving a strong reason for her otherwise evident shivering.

"It doesn't seems, but I am", he said normally and Sashi Bhsuhan lost his panting breath as well, "you can,t .. no mayank ' she cannot tolerate .. she ..

"I know she will", Mayank smiled again,

"This is madness mayank!, what are you upto?"

"I am upto nothing , it is really easy to make a girl hate you, Mr Bhushan every girl dreams, girls are designed that way, some accept , some don't, but every girl dreams for a tall, dark and handsome prince charming, someone who is strong, every girl wants a man to see through her, to know her deepest secrets, every girl!, and your daughter is no different. You know even the strongest and the most practical girls have a glint in their eyes when talked about love, and your daughter is just a normal girl, who has maybe seen betrayal in love, or whatever the reason is behind her suicides, anyways, Mr Bhushan when you shatter a girl's dream, she hates you to the extent no one can imagine .. and this hatred will give nupur the energy to live on"

"but why betrayal?, why do you want to betray her?

"Mr Bhushan , there are only two emotions which can make you live on, it is love or hatred, I am betraying her so she can hate me and live on with that feeling", he said turning towards the gate.

But Mayank you said she wants to live ..", Sashi Bhushan asked helpless.

"Yes she does, but you need an emotion so she holds on to that feeling"

"but why? What such a painful path?',

Mayank stopped short and smiled bitterly, "You are saying this because you don't know about the path of love Mr Bhushan, Nupur will die out of the pain of love, trust me hatred is easier .."

It may sound weird but u didnt take me off guard! I knew this was to come but still u wrote it flawlessly as usual and even though i knew wht was coming, it still held a strange suspense! :)
