Chapter 2 : The light.
"Are you blind or something?" He asked the flying menace, but his breathing stopped, his molten brown met sparking greys, the individual specs of blue seemed to blend in with her pupils, the iris of her eyes not defined but melted into a mesh of dark blue. The smooth breeze that was flowing undisturbed was now circling them, her ebony hair flowing with the gentle wind. Arnav slowly began to appreciate her features, taking in the radiance of her skin, the sheen to her hair, the upturned lips.
And the eyes.
His anger melted away, like ice to a flame.
But those words "I could ask you the same thing" Her voice was sweet, soft but splintered, the cold shards piercing through that bubble of attraction, bringing him back to the real world, he swore at himself, angry at his thoughts, with his uncontrollable hormones.
She side stepped him and walked away, her pale pink dupatta skimming body, her anklets signalling her exit.
He strode away, his footsteps harsh, beating the soft ground beneath him his shoes as he walked towards the food-stand, hoping that a cool soft drink would suddenly soothe his parched throat.

An hour had gone by and Arnav spied through the whole fair, looking for his sister when he saw her again.
And if it wasn't for the first time, Arnav wouldn't be able to tamp down that desire that suddenly coursed through his veins, wouldn't be able to pass off that rapid beats of his heart as a way to release excessive body heat. But one thing he couldn't pass off was the way his eyes suddenly roved down her body, skimming in every detail, painting the picture into the canvas, capturing her with the camera in his eyes but one thing was odd.
Throughout her conversation with his sister not once did she look at her, she was looking above her, behind her but never at her.
Was something wrong with his sister? Why wasn't she looking at her?
He began to take angry steps towards the pair, when he heard her tinkling laugh.
Arnav was not a die-hard romantic, even with his first wife but when he heard her soft giggles the wind around him lifted to push itself through his hair, his eyes closed breathing in her laugh, drinking in that tinkle.
"Oh Anjali you know how to make a woman laugh" Her voice sweeter then honey. He blankly recalled her late wife's voice, it sounded coarse, un-refined in comparison to the suppleness o
"You flatter me Khushi," His sister returned.
Khushi.
That was her name.
And what a beautiful name it was.
He reluctantly opened his eyes, gazing softly at the woman called Khushi, appraising her lithe body encased in the pale pink, her tucked in waste the gaping hole at the back revealing more of that oh-so-smooth looking skin.
'Stop it Raizada' He warned.
He looked at her again, and suddenly the penny dropped.
She was blind.

I would like to say this FF is most dear to my heart, my Nani was blind and my nanaabu wasn't he loved and accepted her just the way she was. I believe that is real love. To accept, understand and only give in return is real love.
