Chapter 3:
Arnav and Khushi were in the car, no one said a word until they reached RM.
Arnav got out and when to the other side and opened the door for Khushi. Khushi tried to get up without falling or wobbling, but that didn't work out for her the langha she was wearing was too heavy, Arnav saw that and offered his hand. Khushi looked up at Arnav and slowly slid her hand into his hand and got out of the car.
Both Arnav and Khushi walked in to RM, forgetting that they were holding hands.
As they entered RM , Angali opened the door to welcome them.
Angali looked at both Arnav and Khushi and how they were holding hands
"Look at this Nani it hasn't even been 2 hours since they got married and they are already holding hands. How cute!" Angali said.
Both Arnav and Khushi looked at their hands and then at each other and quickly removed their hands from each others.
Everyone started to laugh at seeing both of them blush.
"Okay that enough Angali bitiya, do the welcoming so they can enter the house."
"But Nani.. How can I do the Welcoming I am a ..." Angali tried hard not to let the tears flow out.
Khushi knew about how Anglia's husband had dies in a car accident, Payal had told her, and she had gotten really friendly with Angali in the wedding ceremonies and she couldn't stand her crying.
"Angali ji it doesn't matter if you're husbands dies or not, I want you to go my welcoming, please Angali ji" Khushi spoke
Arnav looked at her and was pleased at the way she wanted Angali to welcome them.
Angali looked at khushi with teary eyes and smiled
"Okay Khushi ji, but I have a condition, you need to stop calling me Angali ji, and call my Di, because know you are my choto's bride. Okay."
Khushi looked at Angali and nodded her head.
Angali welcomed the Bride and Groom.
Khushi knocked down the rice, and both arnav and khushi were about to enter when Angali stopped them
"Khushi ji, we have a custom that the Groom carries the Bride into the house"
Arnav and Khushi looked at each other and
:but Di.." Arnav was about to talk when Angali said
"No buts choto's this is the custom, now pick up Khushi ji and bring her in"
Arnav could say no to his Di moved towards Khushi and picked her up.
Khushi looked in his eyes and her arms automatically found and place around his neck.
Both entered the house still staring at each other.
When they came in Arnav put Khushi down, and Khushi quickly let go of Arnav's Neck and moved away.
Payal announced that there will play a game.
"The game we are going t o play is who will find the Ring first. In this game whoever will find the ring first will rule for the rest of their lives."
Khushi looked at Arnav and Arnav looked at Khushi and sat down to do as they were told to do.
Angali brought the tray which had milk in it with rose petal, and she dropped a ring in there and placed it in front of Arnav and Khushi.
"Here start" Angali said.
Both of them put their hands in the milk to find he Ring.
While searching for the ring, arnav's hand touched Khushi's and Khushi looked at Arnav.
He quickly moved his hand and started to search for the ring.
Suddenly both arnav and khushi got the ring. Not knowing that they both were holding the ring, they both quickly pulled their hands out of the milk and pulling the ring up high when they saw they both were holding the ring.
"Looked Nani, both of them have the ring, which means that both of them will rule equally" said an excited Angali.
Both looked at each other and let go of the ring.
After a while Payal and Angali took Khushi upstairs to Arnav's room for their Suhaag Raat!
Khushi was very nervous when she got on the bed.
Angali noticed that and said "Don't worry Khushi ji Chote is really nice, he wouldn't do anything that will hurt you, trust me he's really good at heart".
Khushi just nodded and they left.
Khushi sat on the bed, thinking about her marriage, when she heard the door open. She looked up to see Arnav closing the door and turning towards her, she tightened the grip on her langha. She could hear him walking up to the bed. She was scared of being alone it a man she hardly knew, and she was now married to this man. She slowly opened her eyes to see him sitting next to her on the bed, facing her.
Arnav looked at Khushi, and could tell that she was nervous
"Khushi" he said
Khushi looked at his and said
"yes"
"umm I know they way we got married was the way either of us wanted to, but.." he didn't know what to say.
"Yeah I know what you're talking about" Khushi said.
"I didn't want to get married, but my Di forced me, and I couldn't say no to her. I thought if I got married she will be happy again" Arnav blurred out
"I didn't want to get married either" Khushi whispered loud enough so arnav could hear.
"I only got married because my Bhuaji forced me to, and I couldn't say no because she raised me after my parents died, so I said yes"
"yeah Payal told me about your parents, and how they died"
Khushi's eyes started to get moist hearing him talk about her parents.
Arnav saw that and decided to change the topic.
"So friends?" Arnav asked
"what?" khushi said
"Friends? Want to be my friends?"
"Umm"
"I know we are married,but I know nothing about you and I know you know nothing about me either. So let's be friends and get a chance to know each other properly, because I know how uncomfortable it will be to leave with someone you don't even know."
Khushi was touched by his gestures.
"Khushi nodded her head, and said "okay"
Arnav took his hand out and said "Friends?"
Khushi looked at his and smiled and said" Friends"
Both looked at each other and smiled and Arnav said ""i'm tired, let's go to sleep.
Arnav was about to get up and go to the couch when Khushi said "where are you going?"
"To sleep on the couch tonight"
"umm, don't worry you can sleep on the bed, I wouldn't mind. You can sleep on the left and I can sleep on the right. Okay?"
"Okay, are you sure about it" Arnav asked
"yeah "I'm sure" Khushi said with a smile.
"okay then"
arnav came to the bed, and laid down
"Okay Goodnight"
"Goodnight" said Khushi and they both went to sleep thinking about each other and how their life had changed in just one day.
