hey guys i'm back sry for the late update was out due to work
Chapter 9:
"Guys it's late I think we should be getting back now." Sharon said after they all discussed the plan to expose Shivam and VP.
"Haan yaar it's late now Neha's parents worry." Neha said as she got up. They all walked to the door and left leaving one by one.
"Swayam I need you to stay we need to decide more things for foot lose that we need to give in by tomorrow night." Sharon said sending a sly smile towards Rey.
"Taani how will you go home? Do you want me to drop you off and then come back?" Swayam asked Taani.
"No Swayam let Rey drop her off. Right Rey will you drop off Taani." Sharon asked with a smile.
"Yeah Swayam." Rey agreed. After saying good bye Rey and Taani left Sharon's house.
"Sharon did that on purpose didn't she?" Taani asked Rey.
Rey smiled and laughed, "Maybe she just knows that I like spending time with you."
Taani looked at Rey and gave him a small smile, "Me too."
Rey looked at Taani and then at his car. He noticed that they were about a 10 minute drive away from Taani's house so he made a quick plan. "Creek, creek." He stopped the car by breaking on it.
"Kya hua!" Taani asked as Rey pretended to be turning on the car.
"The car won't start." Rey said trying to look innocent.
"Ab ghar?" Taani asked wondering how to get home.
"We'll walk it's not that long." Rey said getting out of the car. Taani smiled and got out with him. They started walking down the road stealing glances at each other.
"So how are you really, after finding out about Shivam?" Rey asked Taani.
Taani looked at Rey and answered, "Truthfully, I've been hurt before by trusting the wrong people. I felt like I grew wiser, but Shiavm easily could have used me."
Rey stopped Taani and looked into her eyes, "Shivam would have never gotten that far." They started walking again and Rey asked, "What do you mean you've trusted the wrong people?"
"Woh," Taani started to say but Rey cut her off.
"It's okay if you don't want to talk about it." Rey said.
"Nahi woh did you know other than Bhai I have another older brother." Taani said. Rey raised an eyebrow at her. "He's my older brother and he was my dad's favorite. Nani used to tell me it's because boys bonded well together." Taani said with a small laugh.
"Yeah but it's good that you have another brother." Rey said not understanding.
"It should have been good." Taani said. "If he was even a tenth like bhai he would have been good. After my dad died we expected Arjun bhaiya to take over the responsibilities. But instead he went off the charts. He would gamble and drink and spend all of our money. But even after all of that I trusted him more than anything. Every time he'd ask for money I'd blindly trust him with it. Bhai would take care of all of us and Arjun bhaiya would never be home, it got worse when Bhai came to Mumbai."
"The last draw was when on raksha bandhan when Bhai had gotten me expensive jewelry that he wanted me to save for my wedding day. Arjun bhaiya had asked me for it but I refused and I was nave enough to think that he wouldn't try to take it, but at night he came and stole my jewelry." Taani said.
"I had forgiven him for that when he asked but I started to realize that every time I trusted him with something he would always break my trust. One day I finally had the guts to stand up to him when he asked me for my necklace, the one my dad gave me. I told him he couldn't have it and he," Taani broke off.
"He what Taani?" Rey asked already angry at the pain this guy caused Taani.
"He hit me." Taani whispered. "He beat me so badly when no one was home. Nani had come home half an hour after he left and rushed me to the hospital. Bhai was so angry, the first time I've ever seen him mad he went after Arjun and threatened him. After that, two years later, Arjun bhaiya contacted me again saying he was sorry for everything. I had gone to meet him and the only reason he wanted to meet me was for some money. Bhai was outside and he came in and got me out of Arjun's house and made me promise him that I would never contact Arjun bhaiya again." Taani finished.
Rey looked at Taani who had told him her story bravely. Everything that he thought he had gone through seemed so insignificant compared to her. Not being able to take it he pulled her into him and wrapped his arms around her tightly. "I'm sorry that he hurt you." Rey said to her. "But I promise I won't let anyone hurt you again." He hugged her tightly.
Taani hugged him back burying her head into his shoulder. She felt safe with him. She felt loved with him. She felt whole with him. She felt like she had never felt before with him. She loved him.
"Now let's go enough of this serious talk." Rey said pulling away from the hug. Taani smiled at him and they started walking again. Rey entwined his hand with Taani's and they walked hand in hand, talking about cute little things, laughing all the way down to Taani's house.
When they were at the door Rey didn't want to let Taani go. Taani looked at Rey and smiled, "You did that on purpose didn't you?" She asked about the car.
Rey smiled and ran his hand through his hair, "Maybe my car knows that I like spending time with you too."
Taani smiled and said, "Thanks Rey for the walk back."
Rey looked at her and said, "Thanks for sharing something so personal with me."
"Bye." Taani said getting ready to go inside. Rey looked at Taani's retreating figure and grabbed her arm turning her around. He looked into Taani's eyes and then quickly kissed her cheek. "Bye Taani." He said as he walked away with a smile. Taani put a hand to her cheek and blushed and walked inside with a big smile.
The next morning at school everyone was in the canteen. Rey was sitting on the table waiting for Taani to come in. He saw Taani walk towards the door and smiled.
"Rey how was you're drive." Sharon asked him when she noticed him sitting by himself.
"One to remember." Rey said with a smile.
"I'm happy for you." Sharon smiled at him as she saw Taani come in to the canteen.
However, before Taani could come to Rey Shivam stopped her.
"Hey Taani thanks for your notes they really are helping me." Shivam said watching Rey's face turn angry when he talked to Taani.
Taani forced herself to smile and said, "No problem Shivam."
"Can we do another session today?" Shivam asked wanting to keep Taani away from Rey so he could successfully trap her.
"Yeah of course after school." Taani smiled.
"Great let's go to class." Shivam said. Taani sent an apologetic look towards Rey and followed Shivam out of the canteen. In the hallway Shivam said, "I just realized that I have to talk to VP sir about something, I'll catch you later." Shivam said and Taani nodded. When Shivam wasn't looking Taani followed him and got her phone ready.
She stood outside VP's office and hit record.
"Bhai you called?" Shivam asked as he sat down.
"Yeah the police and authorities are getting suspicious. We only have until tomorrow to transfer funds and steal from here." VP said.
"But bhai my revenge isn't complete yet." Shivam said.
"Shivam if they catch me, they'll get to you too. Besides if we break this college, we'll break their spirits. So tonight we have to break in to this school and finish our task." VP said and Shivam nodded.
Taani stopped recording from outside as she saw Shivam start to come out. They only had today to stop VP and Shivam and they needed to do it fast.
Taani ran and found Rey fast. "Rey we need to talk now all of us." Taani said.
"Why don't you want to talk with Shivam." Rey said jealous.
"Rey please listen to me it's important." Taani said looking around. Rey noticed her unease and agreed and sent a text telling everyone to meet up in the closed rehearsal hall.
Rey and Taani quickly went there and met up with the gang. "Guys they are going to attack tonight. Our old plan is done we need a new plan now." Taani said.
"What?" Swayam said. Taani played the recording from her phone and the gang sat around wondering what to do.
"I have an idea." Swayam said.
"Kya baat hai the Shekhawat siblings always have plans." Nil said as Vicky laughed.
"Guys!" Sharon said and they stopped.
"They don't know that we know so we still have the advantage here. Taani you and Rey will go right now to the police and give them everything we have, all of our proof." Swayam said.
"But bhai Shivam will be looking for me in class." Taani said.
"Yeah that's the point he will wonder where you are and try and find you, he'll follow you. With him out of the way the rest of us can take care of VP." Swayam said.
"But kaise?" Vicky asked.
"Our gang way." Swayam said with a smile as everyone else grinned. "Okay now Rey Taani go now." Swayam said and both of them listened and left the room.
Taani got into Rey's car and Rey started driving to the police station. "Everything will work out right?" Taani asked Rey.
Rey held her hand and said, "Yes everything will be fine."
