Chapter 3:

Khushi walked down the stairs smiling at everyone around her. She walked around the hall until she finally saw Karan. Smiling she congratulated herself for successfully finding Karan in the crowd.

Khushi walked faster, almost running, towards Karan before he could move, but while finding him she collided into someone else.

"Ah," Khushi yelped almost falling over. If it wasn't for the strong arms that pulled her up by the waist she would have fallen over. Khushi looked up and saw who she collided with.

"Aap!" Khushi yelled at the same time Arnav yelled "Tum!"

"You both know each other?" Karan asked confused.

"Yup remember the crazy girl I was telling you about?" Arnav said.

Khushi's eyes widened and her mouth opened wide. She narrowed her eyes and said, "Crazy! I'll show you crazy!" before jumping and attacking Arnav grabbing his collar.

"Aapki himat kaise hua!" Khushi yelled putting a death grip on Arnav.

"What the!" Arnav said trying to push Khushi off. "Get this crazy girl away from me. Who the hell is she?" Arnav asked.

Simran and Payal had heard the surrounding from upstairs and decided to go see what was going on. When they came down they saw a group of people surrouding Arnav and Khushi.

"Sankadevi! Leave him!" Buaji was yelling at Khushi.

At the same time Naniji was yelling at Arnav, "Chotey what is this?"

Finally Simran and Karan successfully reached them and pulled them off.

Khushi yelled after being pulled away from Arnav, "This means war Arnav Singh Raizada agar maine aapse sorry nahi bolaya toh mera naam bhi Khushi Kumari Gupta nahi!"

"Bring it on Khushi Kumari Gupta." Arnav said also in anger.

"Khushi bas kar." Simran said. "And Arnav come on it's my wedding yaar yahi pe toh gussa mat dikha."

Both Khushi and Arnav felt guilty looking at Simran's face and both of them muttered sorry together. Speaking at the same time their eyes met. Khushi stared into Arnav's brown eyes and felt hypnotized. Arnav himself didn't want to look away but he forced himself to look away from the beautiful captivating eyes.

"Chotey who are you yelling at this time?" Anjali said smiling at khushi.

"Di, it's nothing." Arnav said.

"Chotey?" Khushi asked laughing. "Arnav and chotey." she started laughing even more. "Chotey is such a sweet name and you are such a bitter person." Khushi said glaring at Arnav.

"What the." Arnav said but before he could say anything Garima put her hand on Khushi's shoulder.

"Khushi what are you doing. This is your cousin's wedding yahan pe bhi." Garima said smiling at her daughter.

"Amma!" Khushi complained.

"Ab chal!" Garima said, "Tumhare babpuji intezar kar rahe hai."

Khushi made a face at Arnav and stuck her tongue out at him and turned around with a hmph and left.

"What the!" Arnav said. But instead of getting annoyed he couldn't help but smile at how adorable Khushi looked when she acted childish.

"Chotey you're smiling!" Anjali said with a smile.

"What no Di." Arnav said fixing his face.

"Anjali di I have something to show you and Karan." Simran said after she saw Arnav leave.

"Kya?" Anjali asked.

"Not here we have to go somewhere else." Simran said. They made their way into Simran's room and Simran took out her phone.

"Okay I'm officially curious what did you want to show us." Karan said. At first he didn't care about what she wanted to show them, he was just happy to see his bride, his beautiful bride who would become his in less then 2 hours, but seeing her face he felt like she was going to show them something big.

"Listen to this." Simran said pressing play. Khushi's voice soon filled the room. They heard her talking to Simran about getting married.

"What are all of you doing here?" Arnav asked coming into the room.

"Sh, listen." Anjali shushed Arnav. They listened to Khushi call Arnav the most handsome man she had ever met and Arnav couldn't help but grin at that.

But after that they heard Khushi say, "No Jiji, I'm serious. He is proud but when I looked into his eyes I saw an emptiness it was almost like he's lonely."

Anjali and Karan glanced up at each other and smiled. Arnav also was shocked. In only one meeting that girl, whom Arnav had previously not even known recognized a part of him that not many people cared to even see.

"Chotey, she saw into your heart." Anjali said with a small smile.

"Simmi this cousin of yours is always such a shock. At times she's a funny, playful, loving girl and at times she's wiser than most girls her age." Karan said smiling.

"How?" Arnav asked more to himself then to the others.

"Sim, are you ready?" Khushi barged into Simran's room. Her eyes widened when she saw everyone in the room. "Sorry, am I interrupting something?" Khushi asked.

"No Khushi you are not. Hi I'm Anjali, Arnav's sister." Anjali said smiling at Khushi.

Khushi smiled widely at Anjali. Anjali walked towards Khushi and Khushi noticed the limp in her leg. "Arrey Anjaliji sit na." Khushi protested.

Anjali laughed and smiled giving Khushi a hug, "Anjaliji nahi sirf Anjali."

Khushi smiled and hugged her back, "Kya baat hai bhen itna mitha bolti hai aur bhai rakshas laad governor." Khushi said not thinking about talking out loud.

"What the!" Arnav yelled.

Khushi's eyes widened once she realized she talked out loud and put a hand over her mouth.

"Khushi!" Payal said shaking her head. "Aacha aab Karan you need to leave before buaji and chachi get up here." Payal said warning Karan.

Karan gave a sly smile and said, "Two more hours." leaving a blushing Simran behind.

Once the ladke wale left Khushi gasped. "Jiji! I didn't get to eat any mithai yet!"

"Khushi how can you always think about food." Payal laughed.

"Jiji mithai." Khushi said her mouth drooling at the thought of the sweet, sugary treats.

"Aacha thik hai go get your mithai." Payal laughed with Simran.

"Thank you Jiji, thanks Simmi." Khushi smiled and left the room.

"Payal di you know why she left the room right?" Simran smiled a sad smile.

"I know Sim, but don't worry everything will be okay." Payal tried to assure her.

"Payal di you know as well as I do that one thing will not change." Simran said sadly knowing her cousin's pain.
