Part 3:
'No Di, a no is a no and thats final', Arnav said and threw his bag on the couch and made his way to the dining table. Anjali made a face and joined him on the table.
'Mamu, mamu, mamu. Look what i made'. The sweet sound made Arnav quickly turn around and open his arms wide. Anania's face glowed with happiness seeing her mamu's inviting arms and in no time at all, she was in his arms. Arnav took her with him and sat on the chair and made her sit in front of him, on the dining table. 'Hmm, so what did you make today, Anania?', he asked her smiling. Anania quickly handed him a paper. He couldn't help smile at the innocent drawing in front of him. Anania had carelessly and aimlessly coloured the whole sheet of paper in different colours. But Arnav still loved it alot. 'Hari Prakash!', he called out. HP made his way towards Arnav. 'Jee Bhayyia?'.
'Go get this plastic coated', he ordered Hari Prakash while handing him Anania's creation. Anjali shook her head sighing at how silly his brother was. Instantly her mind clicked and she hugged herself causing Arnav to look at her with his eyebrows raised and his mouth hanging open. She quickly fixed herself. 'Baby, are you going to come to the kitchen with me? Mama needs your help', she said smiling over to Anania who already jumped on her mamu's lap and onto the floor, making her way to the kitchen, behind Anjali.
Anjali and Arnav made themselves comfortable on the seats of the plane, watching Anania waving at everyone boarding the plane, receiving warm smiles from them. Arnav sighed, closed his eyes and threw his head back in his seat. 'Di, have I ever told you how wicked you are?', he said, his eyes still closed. Anjali giggled and smacked her brother playfully on his arm, making him sit up straight and give her one of his 'what the' looks. 'I had to use Anania, Chotte. See, you only seem to listen to her. I had been trying to convince you all morning to take us to Shimla but you kept on saying no no no no. So i had to ask my little baby to convince you. I knew you would never say no to her', she said removing the hair off from Anania's face lovingly. 'But why do you want to celebrate Anania's fourth birthday in Shimla, Di?', Arnav inquired, his face showing clear hints of irritation. 'I mean I had already called up the best party planners and-', he continued but was cut off by his sister.
'Chotte, I want to celebrate her birthday at the same spot we celebrated yours when you turned four. Mama had taken us all to this beautiful place, at the foothills a mountain and had simply celebrated your birthday', she said, her eyes forming tears, her face showing a slight smile. Arnav's face softened at her words and he once again shut his eyes and threw his head back on his seat, not wanting his sister to see his eyes too formimg tears.

Khushi returned to Shamanlal and was instantly bombarded with questions from her Amma and Arjun. After all the scolding and pulling of ears, she once again took her place in the kitchen. 'Amma, do you think we'l be able to impress them?', she asked while carefully chopping off the vegetables. 'We have to, nandkishore. Your Babuji would be so proud of us if we do. So proud', Madhumatti replied, lost in her own world.
As soon as the delegates arrived to Shamanlal, they were taken to the outside seating as they had demanded. Arjun hurriedly went over to Khushi and Amma, whispering to them, telling them they had arrived. Khushi quickly cleaned herself and made her way outside. Today she had to be with her brother, she knew how nervous he could get when alone handling a huge responsibility. 'Namaste! Welcome to Shamanlal', she said smiling over to the delegates. Arjun presented them with the menu and they placed their perspective orders. But one man, who was looking at the menu and continuously frowning spoke, 'Don't you guys serve anything Italian here?'. Arjun who was taking orders himself today stopped and stared at the man. 'Wo, we, umm', he tried speaking but words failed him like always in such situations.
Khushi quickly went forward and said, 'Sir, our restaurant is purely Indian. This beautiful place, this view, all this is in India, right?', she asked pointing towards the mountains behind them. 'People come to our restaurant to enjoy this scenic beauty, sir. And so thats why we present them with Indian food. To remind them that this beauty belongs to our country', she completed smiling, earning a satisfying nod from the man who instantly placed his order. Arjun looked over at his sister and smiled, mouthing a thankyou. She always had his back, he thought.
When the delegates were served, Arjun and Khushi stood at the corner of the building, secretly looking at them. 'Khushi, will they like our food?', Arjun asked her, his brows clearly showing his worry. Khushi placed her right arm on Arjun's shoulder, standing beside him and said, 'Bhayyia, be prepared for the best', she said. Her confidence surprising Arjun.
When the delegates finished their food and their meeting, they asked for the bill. Khushi and Arjun instantly went towards them. The man who had earlier spoken about Shamanlal not having Italian food got up and placed his hand on Arjun's shoulder and said, 'Son, we loved the food here. We enjoyed the scenic beauty and are totally impressed by the cleanliness here'. Arjun's face lightened up, while Khushi tried her best not to start jumping up and down. 'Son, we are from the Malhotra Food Industries in Dehli and we would like to set a proposal in front of you. Here's my card'. The man handed his card to Arjun who by now had his eyes popped out. 'Would you like to merge your Shamanlal with our Industries? You guys will make the food, keep 60% of the profit made by your restaurant, while we provide you with monetary funds to expand this place, and make it more beautiful. We'd also provide some chefs, and some waiters. The monetary funds can help you add alot more to your menu aswell'. Arjun and Khushi stared at the man slack-jawed. 'You can let us know by the end of this week. Our numbers are written on the card I gave you', the man finished. Khushi and Arjun smiled and nodded and the five men left Shamanlal.
As soon as the men left, Arjun and Khushi started jumping up and down screaming with joy. Soon enough, they realised that other customers had began to stare at them. They fixed themselves up and ran over to tell the news to Madhumatti. The three of them hugged each other in the kitchen, the ladies crying with joy. After a whole lot of hugging, kissing and screaming, they retired for their work once again.
'Amma, i have to go thank Devi Mayyia, i'l be back soon', Khushi told Madhumatti, this time not wanting to piss her Amma off.
As she made her way out of the mandir, she walked on the road, lost in her thoughts when a white mercedes passed her by with such great speed, splashing her with the puddle made on the road due to the rain shower last night. Khushi looked at her clothes, her mouth hanging open. 'Stupid blind person! How i wish i could smack the driver, ugh!', she said stomping her foot on the ground with anger.

Arnav drove the white mercedes he had hired in a great speed, passing by the mandir. He ignored his sister's blabber about how excited she was being back at Shimla after such a long time. 'Chotte, are you even listening to me?', Anjali asked realising her brother hadn't replied since they had gotten in the car and only she had been the one speaking. Anania had fallen asleep in the backseat of the car a long time back. 'No, i'm not Di. So give it a rest, please', Arnav replied with a stern look. Arnav stopped the car in front of a bakery shop his sister had talked about in the plane. 'Make sure it's chocolate, Anania doesn't like any other cake, Chotte', Anjali said as Arnav took off his seat belt to get out of the car. He looked over at his sister with his single eyebrow raised. 'Okay okay, I know you know, I was just reminding you', Anjali quickly replied.
Arnav got out of his car and went inside the bakery. He placed his order for the cake and decided to wait inside the shop only until his cake was ready.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Stop here Bhayyia, stop here', Khushi said to the man driving the rickshaw. She paid him and got out of the rickshaw. She made her way inside the bakery when her eyes fell on the white mercedes she had seen just a while ago. 'This might be a different one, Khushi. Stop being silly', Khushi said to herself and slapped herself at the back of her head. 'Amma and Arjun would be so happy when I take home a cake for them. Today Devi Mayyia blessed us with the best deal ever, today celebration is a must. And what celebration without a cake?', she said to herself as she entered the bakery. She made her way to the counter and placed her order for a dark chocolate cake.
Khushi made her way to a nearby table, to sit and wait for her order to be done. As soon as she sat on one of the two chairs around the table, a man in an Armani suit sat on the other chair, around the same table. Both of them looking towards the counter, failing to notice the other. As soon as the man turned his face to see in front of him, Khushi looked in front of her at the same time. Both Arnav and Khushi looked at each other, with their jaws hanging open, and eyes popping out. Khushi was the first to speak. 'How dare you, you flirt?'. Arnav who was already surprised how a girl, with such an innocent face could be so bold to sit on his table with him, was left even more shocked when the girl called him a flirt. 'Excuse me? What did you just call me?', Arnav said between his gritted teeth, standing up from the table. Khushi too stood up and looked him in the eye and said, 'Flirt! I called you a flirt. I've seen many men like you who just spot a girl sitting alone and make their way towards them in matter of seconds!', she replied, her voice showing the disgust she felt for this man. Arnav was unable to take it anymore. How dare she? Didn't she know who he was? He was Arnav Singh Raizada. And no one spoke to ASR like this.
'Girls like you would dream for me to flirt with you, but sweetie, none can be that lucky', Arnav said looking at her straight in the eye. He smirked when he saw the girl's mouth turn into a perfect 'O' shape. 'You came and sat where I was sitting!', she literally shouted at him, drawing everyone's attention towards the two.
'You wish! YOU came and sat where I was sitting!', Arnav shouted back. The manager came forward and begged them to stop fighting. Khushi and Arnav both angrily collected their cake and left the bakery, their nostrils blowing with anger.
'What a jerk. First he flirts, and then when the girl doesn't fall for his pretty face, starts shouting! Stupid men!', Khushi said to herself as she took another rickshaw home.
Arnav sat in his car, closed his car door shut with such great force that Anjali had to keep her hands over her ear. It was a wonder Anania hadn't woken up still. Anjali opened her mouth to speak when Arnav quickly barked, 'Not now, Di!', and raced the car away from the bakery.
Precap: Arnav and Khushi's second encounter.
