He knocked on the door, his heart beating fast, his mind running, thinking ways to tell his De about Shyam's truth. How will she react???

The door opened and to his surprise it was none other then De herself.

"De…" instinctively he hugged her,he had been missing her so much and now he was scared about her reaction.

"Khushiji, are you alright" Anjali said stroking his hair, confused. "Come inside." She led him inside towards the living room.

"I need to talk to you, its really important…" Arnav began.

"Is it about the sarees? Khushiji that's okay, we know you didn't do it on purpose."

"What the…No its about…"

"Chotay? Did he yell at you again?" Anjali cut him off again.

Exasperated Arnav shrugged and then began again. "No, no De its about…"

Ting tong…

It was the door bell.

"Just a second Khushiji." Anjali said moving towards the door, leaving a highly annoyed Arnav who followed behind her.

A man came inside and give De some papers then left, Arnav was standing a few feet away. Anjali was staring at the papers and then she dropped them. Her eyes still fixed on the place where she held the paper. Scared Arnav ran to her.

"De, what was that? De are you okay… De say something." He shook her violently. Suddenly Anjali smiled, tears running down her face and hugged him.

He hugged her back, reassuringly.

"Khushiji… Khushiji I'm so happy! I can't believe it… Khushiji I'm pregnant …I'm going to be a mother"

Arnav was too shocked to respond He was happy for his De but what the hell was he supposed to do now?

"Lakshmi-nagger" Arnav said, getting into an auto-rickshaw. He had left the super happy De without saying anything but congratulations on the happy news.

His mind was spinning again. He didn't realize when the guy dropped him off and he started walking towards the house.

I can't tell De…she was so happy… she'll be ruined… what will I say? You're husband's a pervert,he stares at me?... every guy stares… Maybe he'll back off after the Baby news… But no… he lied… he lied that he's still single… and that wasn't just staring… that was pure lust, even I could tell… made me feel like a freaking Gay man! ... "Shyam Babuwa asked for your hand in marriage after you left." She said smiling then continued without waiting for his reply.

"Payaliya and I have been discussing and well we think that its perfect, A guy like Shyam Babuwa is hard to find, he's nice and from Lucknow and well… he likes you, so if you say I'll talk to your Amma…"

This time Arnav could not hold it any longer. "No."

"what do you mean No, Sanka Devi?"

"I mean No.. as in I'm not going to marry Shyam" he said, then suddenly added the "ji...Shyamji".

Before he could say something to counter, Buaji excitedly called Payal.

"Payaliya… Aee Payaliya!!!! " she yelled then smiled at Arnav and continued as Payal came running inside with a "Ji Buaji?"

"Arnav Babuwa proposed Titaliya and she said yes."

"what Khushi? You're Rakhshas boss? You said he was evil?" Payal asked confused, but Buaji cut her off.

"I knew something was up the moment she told us about her promotion… the the pay raise, the Driver...especially when he came to visit her…" she tailed off.

What the… she said I was evil??? I can see where she inherited her stupidity… It runs in her blood!!!! But… it's a good idea…yea! we can pretend to be engaged, that way Shyam will stays out of the picture and we can meet without trouble as long as I'm stuck in her body!!!! Arnav smiled at himself, which was obviously taken the wrong way by her family.

"Look Buaji she's smiling. " Payal laughed, "tell us all about it Khushi. How he proposed and all"

"Yeah Sanka Devi… when did he say he's bringing his family?"

"He just asked and I said yes… yeah… that's it. Umm… I don't know… he wanted me to take your consent 1^st." he smiled, spicing up the story.

"I'll talk to your Amma Titialiya, take her and your Babuji's consent, than you can tell Arnav Babuwa." Buaji smiled at him, then all of a sudden hugged him, nearly choking him in the process.

"I'm so happy for you Sanka Devi, Nandkishore have been very generous on you." She said, tears brimming in her eyes.

Then just that suddenly she left him and walked out of the room, shouting things about calling his…her mother.

What is wrong with these women????

Arnav shrugged himself, sighing in relief.

That went well…

Just then his eyes met Payal's inquiring ones, he raised an eyebrow, questioningly.

"Khushi…" she began. "Did he force you in anyway to accept the proposal? You know you can tell me… I know how you always tell me about him being a Rakhshas and what do you call him? Umm yeah… Laad Governor."

"No..No Pa..i mean Jiji, Arnav…ji is very nice…" be began, oh yeah now counter that Khushi!

Payal smiled, then hugged him. "Pagli! Love doesn't just happen because someone proposed you." She kissed his head then held his shoulders looking straight into his eyes. "I'm happy for you Khushi…But…" she tailed off.

"But what ?" he inquired.

"What about him Khushi? Does he love you?"

What the… where did that come from???? Me…Arnav Singh Raizada Loving Khushi Kumari Gupta??? Oh hell no!!! I mean she's hot and feisty… and hot… but love… okay maybe I like her… well she is hot…and cute…innocent…but…love??? They stayed like this for a while then Payal broke the hug. "I should go and tell Shyamji about your answer… Buaji is too busy calling Amma." She said rubbing off her tears.

"Its okay Jiji I can handle this…I need to handle this myself."

"Okay Pagli, go he's in his room."

He smiled at Payal then walked out of his…her room.
