Sam-But what I am trying to say is that he wasn't in correct state of mind just then to think about it...and he probably even regretted leaving you like that.. I bet he stayed up till you came back

Geet-What's the use of staying up?

Sam-He worries but he doesn't say it coz he won't admit it. He really does love you and he is trying not to make same mistakes again. Please bhabhi don't fight over this incident..please.. just for this once forgive him without a fight consider it as a wedding gift you can give me..

Itne mein Maan phir wapas aa jata hai

Maan- Tell him I wanna talk to him after you are done.

Maan says to Geet

She glances at him once then back on phone

Geet-Nahi, ab paani sar se upar jaa chuka hai. I tried m best that night. He has to say 'sorry' or he can stay with his ego forever

Sam-Bhabhi please... please don't be so angry he'll say it.. but please give him time.. he...it's not ego bhabhi he...have you ever been caged inside a cell and put on display? Can you imagine what that feeling is?

Geet-I told you, my problem isn't that. It's his attitude towards me. Fine, he has time. till the time, he doesn't say it...we are not talking

Sam-He loves you. He has never loved anyone or anything in his life before. He doesn't even love himself, I am pretty sure. So how can he know how to behave with a person he loves when its new to him. You came from a good family and nice parents, you know all the rules...he doesn't...he is still learning...would you grudge a 3 yr old child for leaving off to play and not telling his mother..?

Geet-A man who doesn't care about his wife's tears, what do you expect the wife to do?

Sam-I am sorry bhabhi he made you cry. It was all my fault

Geet-It's not. Don't blame yourself

Sam-I never should have said that he did it all by choice. I judged him when I should have been grateful..

Geet-It's not about you, he was like this before I met you too

Sam-Was he like this the first time too? Is there no change in him since then? Has he never cared about your tears? Is he still the same man you married? Coz he is not the same man who I knew

Geet Maan ko phone thamaake goes to her room

Sam-Please bhabhi I am sorry

Maan just hears the I am sorry part

Maan- What the heck are you sorry about?!! What did you say to that her she is upset!!!I tell you I'll come and murder you if you said something stupid to her this time again. What are you apologizing to her for?

Maan chilla raha hai phone par

Sam-Pagal hai kya tu? Bawda ho gaya hai kya pyaar mein?

Maan- Pagal main?!!

Sam- Why would I say something stupid? You are stupid

Maan- You are the one upsetting her and now put the blame on me. She is not your anyone, saale@$$$%

Sam-You are the one who got her upset

Maan-So what? I know that and I am working on it. Who told you to add to her misery

Sam-Yeah, and what is that? [he says sarcastically]

Maan-What should I apologize for? She walked away!

Sam-For breaking her heart, for making her upset

Maan-oh, I say a wrong word and her heart is broken...I don't want this anymore

Sam-Even if it wasn't your fault, you should say sorry. Because simply, you shouldn't like to see her being upset and if your saying sorry helps that, then do it

Maan- Like hell! I will let a woman have me wrapped around her little finger ever again in my enter life!!

Maan shouts in the phone and then disconnects

Geet ko kuch sunayi nahi diya isme se.. par shouting ka suna...sidiyon pe paas aa gayi thi wo

She narrowed her eyes and gave a hard stare then turned to her room

Geet jaake room mein let gayi

Maan comes thodi der baat

He goes and changes his clothe to fresh ones

Maan- I am going to office, I have some work to do.

Geet looks at the clock...its 4 in the evening but she doesn't say anything

Maan-I may be back late.. so... don't wait up...

Ab bhi chup Geet

Maan waits like for 5 seconds for her response then goes away

The architecture of the house Maanl's is like -there is hall with huge bar, kitchen in the side, stairs, dinning area under stairs neeche ek mama ka room, upar Maan ka, Maan ka small home office upar aur Maan ka home gym upar, phir upar terrace, saamne garden aur in back of the house swimming ppol with a bar again

Normally those malicious men come in the night to hog free drinks...just acquaintances...whoever mama would bring to hog free drinks...till now he never had problem as mama and him only lived in the house...but Maan was strictly against bringing women along...Maan ke ghar mein kaamwali bai bhi aurat nahi hai...Maanl is there with those men.. usually...par Maan hamesha chup chap kone mein baithke piita rehte hai and then also works as observation for him to so see what people like and what they don't.. market research bhi sath ke sath ho jati hai as he is in liquor business

But Some days of the year he doesn't allow anyone with him, he locks himself in his room and nobody is allowed to disturb...the two days- his birthday and his mom's death anniversary...he locks himself and gets himself severely drunk...he allows himself to lose control because those dates and days were those that witnessed the incidents those were not in his control

And, one of those days is near...it's tomorrow

After he went at 4 in the evening after informing Geet

He comes back late in the night and follows his usual routine although he doesn't felt like doing it much..he is missing sitting in front of tv and being with Geet and her nagging him about his mistress

Geet as normal previous routine, khana dhak ke rakh deti hai, and locks herself in the room

Maan waits around till all drunks leave...rather makes them leave

In around another hour or so and then he goes up to his room

Geet is in the room, pretending to be sleeping as she couldn't sleep till Maan came

He comes inside silently...somehow he can guess that she is pretending but not really sleeping.. but he lets her keep up her pretence

He goes and keeps her laptop that he bought for her on her dressing table

Rakhte rakhte kuch cheezein gir bhi jati hain...he fumbles and swears under his breath...khoob awaaz karke...all undeliberate and unintentional

Geet has shut her eyes tight

He manages to restore all her bottles and stuff and the laptop on her dressing table

He turns and goes to bathroom to change

He even takes a bath.. all the smoke and alcohol smell is clinging to him and he just doesn't like it around her

As he goes to bathroom...Geet jhat se opens her eyes...takes a look at the laptop..it's swoon worthy...it's gorgeous

She opens the flap to take a look...it's the best and latest model

Geet is happily grinning like a teenager...she already loves the laptop

She notices a note on the laptop

It says-'Achieve all your dreams'

She smiles looking at it

As Maan comes out from washroom, Geet is still on her bed...eyes shut but there is another note on the laptop

It says-'Thank you'

Maan looks at the nod and feels good inside...like some weight had been lifted from his heart

He goes and settles down on his side of the bed...chup chap

Geet feels his presence beside her

He can't sleep...he can't go to sleep while she is awake...he is too tensed...especially with that thought of her leaving and tomorrow officially being the day his mom left.. it's like day of loss...he is too tensed o fall asleep... atleast not before Geet

Geet glances at him and he was staring back

He is lying on his back, eyes open

Geet-Eaten?

He nods

Maan-You?

She nods

Maan closes his eyes briefly but opens them again quickly, unable to keep them closed

She turns and closes her eyes and drifts in sleep

Kuch der baad Maan bhi so jaata hai his hand somehow creeping into her hair

But her hairs are tied today

So he clutches onto a bit of cloth of her nightie and slowly his hand is on her waist

But it's not only over her waist it's also holding onto her nightie in a tight fist

Its morning-

She wakes up and opens her eyes

She feels her nightie tugging and a heavy hand on her waist and looks at her side at him

And he looks a.d.o.r.a.b.l.e...all disheveled hair and relaxed calm face

She looks and cant' help but smile

She feels like pulling his cheek

She tries to open his clenched fist that's clenching her nightie..but it's quite tight

She rubs her hand on his to wake him up , even taps it lightly

He doesn't wake up but he mutters something in his sleep which sounds like 'stay'...

She feels a bit mischievous...khisak ke Maanl ke kareeb jaati hai

Automatically Maan's arm curls arround her...pulling her closer in his arms

She comes closer to his face...blowing air lightly onto his ear

Maan ducks his face and nestles against her shoulder...letting out a little sigh

She glides her finger slowly from right to left of his forehead from his cheek to chin

He pulls her even mre closer.. somehow it isn't any more comfortable closeness..now it's more like he is clutching onto her as if she is his life saver boat and he is drowning

Geet-Maan

She whispers into his ear

Maan-Mom..

He whispers holding her tightly
