hi guys...here is the another part of this ff...as i already told, past will be revealed in coming updates ie., from next chpater.
i really dont how this chapter has shaped out considering my mood when i wrote this...i wrote it after watching yesterdays episode...so i am sorry if it is not good...and also the story needs sometime before start rolling...so little patience is needed
CHAPTER 4
Kushi descended the steps of the hospital still in the state of confusion. A part of her was happy knowing that the baby is perfectly fine and another part of her was puzzled with the fact that the doctor who examined her yesterday evening didn't say anything about her pregnancy. Does it have Arnav behind it? What is he thinking?
An Impulsive fear started to engulf her and she held folder, which she was holding, closer to her stomach as if protecting the child from the terror she was undergoing. She was so immersed in her thoughts that she didn't notice that she was about to get hit by the car until a strong arm pulled her by wrist. She closed her eyes as everything went blank and she didn't open it until she heard a cold voice.
"What the hell do you think you are doing? Are you trying to kill my child?"
Her eyes snapped open as soon as his harsh words reached her ears. She looked at him in disbelief unable to hold accusation. 'Kill his child?' She took a deep breath for a moment to overcome the dizziness she felt and then she bounced back. "Your child? From when did my child become your child?"
His eyes, which were hidden behind the shades, got slightly widen at her question but in fraction of second, they got swapped to their usual position. "It was always my child from the beginning and it will remain the same till the end. You can never change it, can you?" he challenged her.
"Sadly, no." She shook her head "i can never change it. But believe me if i were able to change it, I will do anything..." she paused stressing the last syllable "anything to change it. Because i feel disgusted to say it's your child." He stared at her before snapping in cold voice "get inside the car."
She refused him saying "No thanks. My car is waiting for me." He spoke in deadly voice "shut up and get in." The audacity of his voice made Kushi to shiver and knowing that he will not let her go easily and also not wanting to create a scene, she quietly climbed into his car.
"Where are we going?" she asked him breaking the silence which prevailed in the car for last fifteen minutes. She looked at him curiously waiting for the reply but she got none; not even an angry stare. He continued driving as if he didn't hear a thing.
"Arnav?" she snapped "I asked you where are you taking me?"
"No need to panic. I am not taking you to a lonely place where I can get rid of you easily after which I will marry Lavanya and will live happily ever after." He answered sarcastically not bothering to look at the girl whose eyes got widen to match her 'o' shaped mouth. Kushi shifted her gaze to other side cursing him under her breath. "Arrogant. Brutal. Cold blooded."
Even after her several attempts to not to turn, her eyes involuntarily moved to the man who was driving the car nonchalantly as if she doesn't exists. "Incredibly cold." She muttered twirling her shawl in between her fingers. She felt very hard to believe about his cold nature when her private investigators informed her because she had never witnessed this side of Arnav. He had been always nice to her. She even had once seen his anger but not this cold and ruthless behaviour.
She felt contented about her last one month stay in Delhi, which had helped her to collect every minute detail about Arnav, because without that what she was doing now would have been impossible task. She had planned everything. She knew that he won't agree to this marriage at any cause. She also knew that only way to get it done is by seeking his grandmother's help, who is very conservative by nature.
Her two days time limit was only to irritate him. It gave her a kind of sadistic pleasure when he gets tensed or irritated. She is waiting to see his annoyed reaction when he was forced to marry her. Her thoughts were cut short by the sudden halt of the car. He got off the car without uttering a word. Not knowing what else to do, she followed him inside building from an entrance which seemed like back door entrance.
Soon she identified it as some local government office, which looked deserted indicating the lunch hour. They were received by three men, all dressed in suits just like Arnav, who took them inside another room. One of the guy whispered something to Arnav and Kushi watched intriguingly as Arnav took something out of his coat pocket and handed it to the other guy.
Her eyes got narrowed, and then widened in shock seeing the guy walk away with a passport. She questioned Arnav "is that my passport?" "yes." He answered simply as if it was most natural thing. Before she could react, he added "it's just for verification purpose. You will get it back in a minute."
"What the hell is happening here, Arnav?" she demanded seeing him moving away. He raised his eyebrow slightly at her furious tone, then said "nothing. Just some property transfer. I heard that you are the major share holder of GUPTA industries." She looked at him in haze unable to comprehend what is happening.
"Now, you both have to sign it." They both turned to the voice of middle aged man near desk which held the board 'registrar.' It took her sometime to realise that they are standing in sub-registrar's office. Before her mind could process the happenings, Arnav leaned and signed the register without any hesitation.
"Ar..navvv." She stumbled as he offered her pen. She gulped and shut her eyelids thinking that it must be a dream and everything will vanish the moment she opened her eyes. Unfortunately for Kushi nothing of that sort happened. She trembled under his heated gaze thinking 'is this all happening for real? Are they really getting married?'
But how this is possible? As far as she knew to get registered marriage, they are certain procedures which had to be done well in advance. Then it struck her that he is Arnav Singh Raizada. Then also yesterday he was against this idea. Why suddenly now? A strange fear gripped her mind.
She jerked out her thoughts when she heard his cold voice again. "This is what you wanted know Kushi? Then why are you backing off? Come on, do it or forget it. It's now or never Kushi."
Kushi nodded grabbing pen from his hand. He is right. This is what she wanted; this is all she wanted. 'I am doing it for my child. I am doing it for my child.' She kept repeating to herself and leaned to sign her name, Kushi kumari gupta, may be for the last time. And she froze with that thought. She will be no more Kushi kumari gupta but Kushi Singh Raizada.
He watched her as different emotions played on her face. He himself didn't know why he was doing this. But he felt like he had to do this. He stared at her when she turned and looked straight into to his eyes. And there he saw fear, desperation and above all pain. That second he recognised why he was doing it.
He is doing it for her. Every time she asked him to marry her, there was desperation in her eyes. He doesn't know why she is so desperate to marry a man she loathed the most. But all he knew was she needs him right now and he will be there for her.
He looked at her desperate eyes while stating "I am doing this because you wanted this. You can walk out of this marriage whenever you wish. I won't stand against your decision. You have my words on that. Your call will be the final regarding this relationship." His voice was soft and held lot of promises. "Six months. I won't take much of your time." She replied in low voice.
He nodded "and if you want to stay..." she interrupted him "that will the last thing on the earth i want to do. So don't worry. It will never happen." Saying so, she signed quickly, knowingly making their relationship a legal one and unknowingly making their bond stronger.

"So when are you going to tell them?" she enquired him. He replied "they will figure it out soon. And that's good for the child also. Only thing is I don't want media to find out when we got married." She nodded in understanding. She couldn't deduce what will be the reaction of media when they came to know that sole owner of emerging AR industries got married to the major share holder of his only rival company GUPTA industries.
She was unable to think anything straight. She felt exhausted as everything seemed to happen too quickly. She met him two days before and now they are married. Nothing is happening according to her plan. She gave him two days time to accept her proposal but he married her on the second day itself. Wait, does it mean she had actually won it? But why does she feel like she had lost it completely?
Arnav smirked noticing her confusion. This is what he wanted. He really couldn't sit back calmly after knowing that she had come here to Delhi nearly a month before and had everything planned out; more importantly after knowing her next target was his family. He also knew that he will never be able to do anything that may hurt her. He couldn't even hurt her, three months before, when he really wanted to hurt her. How can he do it now?
He had to protect his family at same time he can't do anything against her. His strategy was very simple; Defence. And all he had to do was to be one step ahead of her. How can she harm his family when she is busy guessing what will be his next step. She may get confused and drained in this process but he will see to that she never gets hurt. Hadn't he already hurt her a lot?
"What about your family?" she interrogated as soon as they reached his house. He retorted "for god's sake, don't forget this is real marriage. I don't find any reason to hide it from them." She was about to open her door when she heard him shout "Kushi wait, how can i forget it?" she turned to see him pulling something from the plastic bag which was on the back seat.
She froze when he opened a velvet box and heaved a chain made out of black beads. "Are you going to tie it here?" she asked rolling her eyes around. "And where do you want me to tie it?" he questioned her back. She shook her head and then indicating him to go further; she closed her eyes as he came closer.
Kushi was nearly six years old when she attended her maasi's wedding. It was the first wedding which had registered in her mind. And she fell in love with the weddings that day itself. Even when she was small child, she dreamt a lot about her wedding and she couldn't wait for her day to come. It was during her early teen, her mother explained her that wedding is not only about grand celebration and fun but it is about love and merging of two souls. And the word love excited her more.
She always fantasize that her prince charming will come and she hopelessly will fall in love with him and her wedding day will be the best day of her life. And today there was she; sitting in the car and getting married to person whom she hate the most.
He didn't just break her dreams but shattered it in every possible way that now she even feared the word 'dreams'. She rolled her eyes controlling the tears which were ready to spill out. She vowed to herself that she make him pay for everything he had done to her, including this marriage.
'i will make him pay.'
Arnav was about to tie the mangalsutra when Kushi closed her eyes. And that second he knew that how much this meant to her. Cursing himself for forgetting to stop by the temple, he thought of going to temple now. But it was too late because the damage was already done. Arnav doesn't believe in these things very much. The papers they had signed an hour ago meant more for him.
He looked at innocent girl in front of him, who had done nothing wrong except to believe him; trust him; love him. She bit her lower lip in process of trying to control her tears. 'God, can anyone feel guiltier than this?' he thought. If he is going to take this relationship next level, then he must do it honestly. He can't live a fake life for world's sake because that will hurt her more. He can't hurt her anymore.
He looked at the chain he was holding. "Along with marriage comes the responsibility. Love, care and protection are the main things which a girl expects from her husband." His nani words, which he heard many years ago, echoed in his mind. He shut his eyes and all he could see was desperate pair of eyes.
He stole another glance at Kushi and he knew he had taken the right decision. What if she doesn't consider him as a husband, he will always treat her in the way she deserved to be; in a way a husband needs to treat his wife. What if she considers this marriage as fake, he will consider it as real.
He doesn't know whether he will be able to love her or not. Because according to him, love happens only one time in life and it had already happened to him. But then he can always try to do that. He promised himself that he will never lose in fulfilling his husbandly duties. He will protect her in every way until she is with him or even after she left him.
Kushi noticed that Arnav was lost in some other world. "Arnav." He jerked and then without breaking their eye contact, he tied the holy chain around her neck. Then he took pinch of the vermillion and filled her parting making her as his.

"why did kushi wanted to marry arnav?" if this is the question going through in your mind...then dont worry...ur question will be answered clearly in next update with a flashback...
