Chapter 5

Arnav on one hand was super pissed at the conversation that he had witnessed between NK and Khushi.. Why did she had to be all mushy with him!? And on the other hand was a little apologetic for what he had done the previous day... but ASR never apologises to anyone... then why her? But he somewhat felt it was absolutely necessary to talk to her regarding the incident... he doesnt want her think that this is what ASR was all about... he didnt want het think the he was unprofessional and would harm other workers just to fulfil his quota of pleasure... he had to talk to her.. so he had talked asked his assistant to call Khushi in his cabin... Khushi was informed and she didnt deny.. she went up to his cabin..

Khushi: (knocks) Please reply if u heard my knock and if you in a state to talk..

Arnav: come in!

Khushi: (went in) morning Mr. Raizada.. hope you had a pleasant night (mockingly)

Arnav: none of your business really...

Khushi: just asking.. anyways... im guessing you have a reason to call me up here..

Arnav: uh... um... yea.. actually I wanted to say that...

Khushi: (confused) why are you stammering?

Arnav: I AM NOT! I wanted to tell you that.. that.. you have to have lunch with me today..

Khushi: (shocked) I beg ur pardon?!

Arnav: LUNCH! With me!

Khushi: what for?!

Arnav: I have some details to discuss with you regarding the project ur handling..

Khushi: why not in the office then?

Arnav: Cuz im busy the whole day khushi! Why do you need an explanation for everything?!

Khushi: Fine.. at 1... meet me at ZZZ restaurant...

Arnav: sure... see you..

Khushi: is any file required for this discussion or any material...

Arnav: nothing.. just get yourself there on time...

With that Khushi left his cabin... she felt it was slightly weird how arnav stammered when he was asking her for lunch? He was the great ASR.. he never failed to talk impressively and arrogantly of course.. but why was he all nervous today... khushi didnt know why but she kept on thinking about him till she realised that it was almost time that she had to get to the restaurant to meet the same person shes been day dreaming about all this time... she was shocked! Did she actually think about that creep all this time.. not that she was thinking anything good.. but whatever... he didnt deserve her precious time either ways.. with that she took her purse and left for lunch...

Arnav on the other hand was getting nervous as he was to apologise for the first time.. why did he even bother to apologise again? She seemed to be fine this morning... she wasnt angry or anything.. than why is he even apologising? And even if she was angry.. what was it to him? All these thoughts were driving him crazy! He just had to get over with this lunch to clear all his confusion out... and finally Khushi came.. she came at arounf 1:05..

Arnav: ur late!

Khushi: yea I know.. im sorry.. the traffic..

Arnav: (cuts her through) excuses excuses... anywho.. can we start discussing

Khushi: (got irritated) it wasnt an excuse cuz I dont need to give u any explanation.. and yes we may... id rather not have small talks with you cuz that only leads to us having world war III!

Arnav: (smiled at that comment) can we order something first?

Khushi: sure...

Khushi had ordered her food and arnav was naming his orders when he noticed khushi trying to call someone desperately..

Arnav: Is everything ok? (concerned)

Khushi: huh? (shocked to hear that from him) umm.. yea.. all good.. was just trying to call NK..

Arnav: (got angry now) its a meeting Ms Gupta... it better if you in your language learn to be a little "professional".. keep your phone away..

Khushi: (got angry) I was only calling cuz he needs to get here too u know..

Arnav: (angrier) and why does he need to get here again?

Khushi: If you havent forgotten Mr Raizada.. hes too is a part of this group.. if theres a discussion he need to be here too..

Arnav: and so is Akaash and Lavanya.. and hundreds of other workers why arent they invited? (angrily)

Khushi: I dont understand what ur saying (confused)

Arnav: what im saying Ms. Gupta is that I respect the fact that u believe in equality and all that shit.. but that what you show off in your own department.. to me.. ur still the head of this project.. so when theres a discussion that needs to be done its gonna be with you.. not your workers... (with a straight and professional voice)

Khushi: (knew that he wasnt wrong) umm.. I didnt realise that...

Arnav: Of course you didnt realise... (got up in aner and was about to leave when khushi called him)

Khushi: Im sorry Mr. Raizada... its my mistake completely and I apologise.. please dont let the work get affected because of that... I would remember you instructions clearly from now onwards... I apologise once again!(in a very professional tone as well)

Arnav: thats ok... lets get back to work...

Meanwhile Khushi completely forgot that she had already texted NK to get there.. and she hadnt asked him later not to come... which is why... enters.. NK!

NK: hey Khushi... im here

Precap: arnav had to act professional... now that ur here.. u can join the discussion... this did end up a work lunch... but it just pissed arnav off every minute to see them together! Why was he feeling this way?!
