"Khushi you need to run a little faster" Aranv stopped as he felt Khushi is slowing down.
"Arnavji ham bahot thak gaye hai . hamse nahi hoga.." She gave up and she sat down.
Arnav sat down besides her.
"We have to get going sweetheart" Arnav said it softly.. Khushi's heart fluttered as she heard that sentence.. "Sweet Hart?" she repeated and she looked at him with her widened eyes..
He smiled at her.. "Do you want me to pick you up?"
"nahi ham thik hai" Khushi got up.. She held his hand..
Suddenly they were surrounded by 4-5 people. Couple of them had knifes and one of them had gun ..
"Are mil gaye"
Khushi hid behind Arnav. She was shivering. She held his hand tight..
Arnav's face hardened. He pulled khushi behind him.. One guy went near them and pulled khushi away from him
"Leave her alone" ASR shouted. He tightened his fist as he moved quickly towards that guy. Khushi got thrown,, She was watching Arnav with tears., She was scared. She didn't want Arnav to get hurt. She was thinking how to help him. She grabbed her dupatta and got up..
2 guys who had knifes in their hands were both on ground lying uncontentious.. As he was trying to get the third guy out Khushi observed the fourth guy pulled the trigger. Khushi realized what was happening. and she ran without thinking.. She stood between Arnav and the gun point. The bullet brushed her arm and went ahead. Khushi screamed and fell down. Arnav turned as he saw Khushi in blood lying on ground.. His eyes had so much anger in them. He punched with that guy fiercely and he ran towards khushi
"KHUSHI" Arnav's called her. "KHUSHI utho khushi" but Khushi was uncontentious..
He took off his shirt and tore it to tie her wound. and He lift her up in his arms.. Tears were falling from his eye continuously. He didn't realize how much time he was running. I won't let anything happen to you Khushi.. He kept on sayng the same thing.
He stopped when he reached highway.. He stopped in the middle of road., He didn't care about anything anymore. He wanted to take khushi to the hospital. A truck which was going too fast stopped with screeching sound as Arnav didn't even move a little from middle of the road..
He walked towards the driver.. And climbed up in back of truck .. He held Khushi's with one arm... His eyes were closed now. Tears were still flowing .. he was thinking about past. How cruel was he towards her. How much pain he gave her.. And she? She loved him so much
"Shadi ka matalab aap kya samajhenge Arnav singh Raijada. Shadi vo pavitra bandhan hai jo janam janam ka sath nibhaneka vada karate hai. Apane sathi ke liye apani jan bhi de dete hai"
He remembered her words..
I won't let anything happen to you khushi.. I Promise I won't

Khushi was lying in hospital bed. Her eyes were still closed. Arnav was near her standing.
"Mr Raijada we tried.. She is too weak. Lots of blood loss. We have given her medication. Let her rest. But I don't want to give you false hope. We have to wait .. "
"How can you not do anything? I am Aranv Singh Raijda. I order you to make her better right now"
Doctor patted his shoulder.. "There was too much of blood loss. We have done everything possible. But now we have to wait.. and he moved out of the room.
He held Khushi's hand and sat down besides her. He started sobbing. he buried his face in her hand and he started crying..
"I don't deserve your love Khushi... The day I met you I gave you pain. I hurt you. You loved me unconditionally. You never expected anything from me. and I always doubted you."
Arnav got up. He walked towards the end of corridor. There was Small Mandir insde hospital. Till today he never entered a temple but today he went inside. He joined his hands as namaskar .. he closed his eyes.
"i know I never came to you. I never prayed. But today I am here for Khushi. Give her all my happiness and my life.. If something happens to her I will never forgive myself. Whatever bad is going to happen let it happen to me. She is pure as gold.. I want to protect her. Give me all her pain and let her have happiness which she deserves" First time ASR was crying in front of god.
"Ek din aisa ayega ki aapako samajhega jo bhi ho raha hai vo DM aapse karava rahi hai. aur jab apako samjhega tab tak bahot der ho chuki hogi."
He remembered her words. He opened his bloodshot eyes. He turned and went back to Khushi's room.
He sat besides her. His tears were dried. he held her hand..
"Khushi, you can't leave me. You have to come back to me. Khushi you are my life." He stroked her hair quietly.
