Hope your time overseas will be a true learning experience and a thoroughly enjoyable one as well! Best Wishes and stay safe!
Lovely quote to start with! Wow, Arnav compared to a leaking gas cylinder is damn apt, especially when he throws a hissy fit! His anger fuelled by his protective instincts and her refusal to accept his help is understandable… he hurrying up knowing that Khushi might try to escape is amusing. Nice to see him give Khushi priority over Anjali and not even notice that she's perturbed over something… Anjali noticing his impatience, then teasing him and finally reassuring him that a sulky Khushi was awaiting him is a heart-warming moment. Just beautiful: The contentment at seeing him like this, her tough, cold, lonely Chote, on the brink of something as incredible and profound as love and matrimony – she was awash with it, floating in its calming waters, and so complete was the feeling that for the moment it dissipated some of her own troubled confusion. Anjali's happiness for Arnav because finally he's got a chance to be with someone who he cares for and who cares for him is touching… Arnav can give up the bitterness and have a new lease on life… with Khushi around it will never be mundane! Anjali held up a hand, palm outwards, looking both sage and exasperated… looks like Anjali is channeling her inner Dadi, the traffic cop! Anjali's common sense and sage advice defused the situation and made Arnav see things from another's perspective, something he hardly ever does! Anjali is the typical elder sibling looking out for the younger one, especially in the manner in which she was treading on eggshells while getting Arnav in touch with his emotions. Her lessons about love are long overdue! …we feel the need to keep safe someone important to us, because we don't know how we will deal with it if something happens to them, even if no such thing might happen at all... wonder if she was indirectly referring to her own predicament / fears. Concur with her advice about taking things slowly so as to understand each other, often instinctively, and to see things from the other's point of view… patience and anger management are two things he needs to adopt. Thank you for making this Anjali intelligent enough [unlike the on-screen one] to notice the changes in Arnav inspired by Khushi, especially the fact that she can make him do things he used to be reluctant to do. Also, looks like she's begun to suspect that all's not well with her world. NK combining his sleuthing and watchdog duties well was endearing. You've managed the right blend of suspense and horror while describing NK spying on Shyam and coming to the realisation that the latter is deranged and totally unpredictable, thus very dangerous! Loved the way NK kept sifting through the options and tried to come up with the best solution. At least, with Akash and Payal on their way to their honeymoon, they are safe from Shyam. Poor Anjali, the men that day — Chote and NK — seem intent on knocking her over the way they barged into her unknowingly! ... the invading army of dread… nice imagery to denote the sheer panic that infused NK's being on hearing that Shyam was on the loose! Di would have raised a great hue and cry over her missing husband, if nothing else would have whined and groused about his absence and appealed to anyone she could to help bring him back... an apt jibe at the on-screen Anjali! NK and Anjali are in the same boat: distracted by their inner turmoil and suspicions, unsure whom to turn to and having to focus on what the other is saying but failing miserably! Anjali needs to be made aware of Shyam's deception, but hope she'll have the strength of mind to cope with the revelations and the fallout, without going into hysterics and adding to their problems… hope the Raizadas will come up with a plan of action before Shyam manages to harm Bauji, Arnav and Anjali… being demented he could pose a threat to Khushi when she rejects his overtures again! Eager for the next part… you've lefft us on tenterhooks!Hello everyone! I will be posting my 5 one-shots over here which I sent in for the Pyaar Ka Trope-fest contest. They are all standalones and...
