Author's note: Guys although in this story arnav is a vampire, but the story is different from twilight. Please don't say it's like twilight because when I read your comments, I felt like you guys are saying I copied it from twilight, it really makes me feel sad. I even though of living the story in the middle however there are some girls who asked me to continue so I did. I know this part is quite short but enjoy please. :0

Illumination in the Darkness- part 4

Arnav: Khushi what will people think if they saw you in my house?

Khushi: no one knows I'm here

Arnav: someone do knows that you are not at your house

Khushi: who?

Arnav: your boss

Khushi: what do you mean?

Arnav: your boss was here…

Khushi: how do you know?

Arnav: I saw here outside your house when I was going out for a walk

Khushi: why didn't you tell me?

Arnav: you didn't ask

She immediately takes a dekko at her phone and notice that she received 20 miss calls of payal's.

Khushi: OMG!! 20 miss calls!! She must be worried, I got to go arnav

Arnav: sure I'm not going to ask you to hold back

Khushi: how mean of you!

Arnav: I am mean, didn't you know?

Khushi: whatever! Bye, Ta-Ta

Arnav: Astala vista baby

She drops out of his house and attempt to grab an elevator as swift as she could. But it endures for long as she was impatient. When the elevator arrived, she speedily gets in and clicks the bottom button but all of a sudden, she perceives a strange sound. It was of the elevator, the elevator got stucked, and she was trapped in the elevator alone. Being shaken by the dark, she got frightened; her heart started pumping as loud as a drum. Her tears steadily ran down her cheeks; her mouth shivering, her heart seeking for a hope that someone will turn up rescue her. She tries out pressing the alarm button but it didn't operate.

She set there for a while, and detects a sound; someone attempt to open the elevator. She heard him cry out her name.

Arnav: Khushi!! Are you okay??

Hearing his voice, she felt dispense. She didn't understand why; she couldn't distinguish her feeling. She did not utter a word first, and then she began to beseech him for help.

Khushi: help me arnav, I'm scared of dark

He was voiceless for a moment, remembering how dark his life is. His mind cast him back to some fearful memories.

Flashback:

It was shady when he was passing by a jungle two days ago. He heard someone bellowing, so he determines to have a look. When he went in the jungle, he saw a guy lying on the ground, he was covered with blood. When he draws near him, he heard him murmuring: Run! Run! They will turn you into a creature. He was puzzled and had no idea what that guy was trying to express.

Arnav: what? Are you okay sir, do you need help?

Guy: leave me, run! Save your life!

He was about raise a question when all of a sudden; he got attacked by someone from the back. There were two human-creatures who bite him on his neck; they were vampires. They left him in the jungle.

End of flashback

Will she be bothered if she knows the truth? Will she be frightened? Will she still go near him? These questions keep running over his mind. There was absolute silence, Khushi was afraid if he had left her.

Khushi: are you still there Arnav?

Arnav: um...Y...Ya I'm here.

He pulled open the elevator doors with force. Sweat running down his cheeks; his teethes chattering. His eyes turning into red; they were as red as fresh blood. Sensing that the elevator is about to open, he quickly shut his eyes. When she saw the door opening, a wide smile spread on her mouth, her tears running down, and her fear eventually disappear. She approach towards him and embrace him tightly.

His eyes turned back to light brown and he felt relieved to see her manage to get away from danger. He squeezed her in his embrace. He didn't comprehend why he did but he wanted to embrace her for eternity. He questioned her while the embrace: Khushi, are you okay? Her heart began pumping rapidly; he could feel the beat of her heart. His proximity for her was way too close for comfort. She unwrap her arms those that were surrounding his neck; turn to him and look into his eyes.

Khushi: I am fine, thank you for saving me.

Arnav: I think you need some rest let's go, can you walk or you want me to carry you?

Khushi: I am not a patient, I'm fine, I can walk.

He put his left hand on her waist and the other hand gripping her wrist, and led her towards her house. She grabs the keys from her bag and opened the door and they went inside the house. It was bright, the curtains were in red; white and red bed sheet and the walls were painted in white.

Khushi: thank you very much for today, you must be busy but still you helped me. Let me serve you something

Arnav: No its okay, I think you need someone to take care of you. Is there anyone?

Khushi: No, I live alone.

Arnav: but you are afraid of dark, aren't you?

Khushi: I leave the dim lights on when I sleep.

Arnav: how about your family members?

She was quite for a while; tears flow from her eyes. She set on the bed and hugged a heart-shape pillow.

Khushi: My parents had a car accident and I have no siblings

He approached towards and perch beside her. Putting his hand around her shoulder, he slowly held her chin with his thumb and index finger and turns her face towards his. His touch was so sensitive and warm that it could comforts the sick. She was having Goosebumps. Looking in her eyes, he softly utter: Khushi I'm sorry I didn't mean to. His voice was soft and as sweet as molasses.

Khushi: its okay, arnav I need some rest, can you leave…? I know it sounds rude but…
