He unwrap the box and found an envelope in it. He unfolds the letter in it and read the message.

Arnav,

Sharp seven

At Coffee shop

He laid his eyes at his watch and it was already 6:30.

Arnav: it's already 6:30; I must inform Khushi that I need to go somewhere.

He approach towards her house and tried to open the door when he realized that the door is locked. He rammed the door multiple times but she didn't open.

Arnav: Khushi, open the door… Khushi are you there? Are you okay? Say something damn it, I'm counting to three; if you don't open the door I'm going to break into your house!

Khushi: just two minutes arnav

Arnav: no Khushi I want the door opened right now!

She unlocked the door; her face was as red as though red wine had been poured into the glass. Her eyes were as watery as there had been crystal water stored in them. There was fear in them; her body was stiff with that fear. He cupped her face in his hands, tunneling his fingers into her hair.

Arnav: Khushi what happen? What took you so long?

Khushi: Na... Nothing, I need time to get out of bed, you know I sprinkle my ankle right

Arnav: umm…Khushi are you hiding something?

Khushi: no no why would I hide something from you?

Arnav: okay, so show me

Khushi: show what?!

Arnav: your hands. You are hiding something behind you

Khushi: no I'm not

Arnav: then prove it; if you are not hiding then show me your hands

Khushi: arnav actually,

He grabbed her hand and looked at her with concern, her hand was burnt; the hot stove burnt her hand.

Arnav: what is this Khushi? Are you nuts?

Khushi: you left the stove on so I…

Arnav: I'm... I'm so sorry Khushi I didn't know because of me you would…

She put her finger over his mouth before he finishes his sentence; he gazed in her eyes in silence, without words and laid a soft kiss on her finger which was on his mouth. After realizing what he just did, he broke the spell- the heavy mute spell and came back to his sense. He quickly starts off a conversation to cover his action.

Arnav: it's the best medicine you will ever find on earth; it will heal your wound in a minute

Khushi: haha okay

Arnav: come I will apply toothpaste on your hand, it will get healed faster

Khushi: okay

He applied the toothpaste on her burnt hand slowly with his index finger and blew it time to time. He can see the pain on her face, he knew it was hurting.

Arnav: Its hurts?

Khushi: a… a little

Arnav: there you go, I already applied the toothpaste, now take rest and don't move your hand

Khushi: thank you

Arnav: Khushi, I

Khushi: yes?

Arnav: I have to go somewhere, can you…?

Khushi: ya I can take care of myself

Arnav: okay thanks bye

He left soon afterwards. When he reached the coffee shop, he stopped in his tracks at the sight when he saw Akash. He approach towards him and take a seat.

Akash: seems like you were busy… you are 35 minutes late

Arnav: no, actually Khushi…

Akash: what do you want from her?

Arnav: nothing

Akash: then why do you care so much for her?

Arnav: look what I do is none of your business

Akash: but what you do to her is my business, she is like my sister so I'm warning you dare not to touch her! Wait; are you in love with her?

Arnav: no way bro! I'm just doing my duty

Akash: what duty?

Arnav: tell you some other time, by the way, where did you go that night?

Akash: they throw me away near the sea! By the way thanks for saving me, I mean at least for trying to… now you became a vampire because of me, but that's not my fault. I asked you to run

Arnav: It's okay! When are you planning to tell Payal?

Akash: I haven't planned yet, here you go.

Arnav: what is this?

Akash: Vampire control pills, so that you could control yourself

Arnav: I have them

Akash: Khushi haven't heard you scream?

Arnav: she did on first night, after that I started taking the pills…

On the other side Khushi was laying on the bed when she heard a knock on the door. She thought it was arnav therefore she quickly opened the door but it was someone else.

Khushi: who are you?

He did not spoke, his lips were like sealed. She was shivering when he kept walking toward hers. If he takes one step front, she take two step back. She found her back up against the wall; nowhere to go. Her heart was filled with fear; tears rolling down her cheeks. He went near her and put his teeth on her neck, as if he was going to bite her. She was whispering Arnav's name; she did not know why but she wanted him to come. Suddenly, he felt a force pushed him backwards, as much as he attempt to get near her, he couldn't. There was a force that was not letting him do so; there was something different in the wind. Arnav felt like someone was whispering his name.

Akash: What Happened?

Arnav: nothing, I just felt like…

Akash: felt like what?

Arnav: Nothing, I got to go…

When he reached near front door of apartment, the door burst open and he saw a man coming out of the apartment. All images of two days before flash through his mind; it was the very same person who attacked him. He wanted to run after him, but remembered that Khushi is still alone. He sense that she might be in danger, he ran up the stairs. The more he runs, the more he felt its taking longer. When he reached, he saw the door open and she was sitting with her knees drawn up and her arms encircling in the corner in this dark room. He rushes to her and bend down near her. She hugged him tightly; her head would rest neatly below his chin, where she could feel his breath lightly blowing her hair.

Arnav: Khushi…

Khushi: I don't know what he wanted, he was trying to….

Arnav: I'm sorry Khushi, I'm so sorry I wasn't here to look after you

Khushi kept crying, he lifts her up; lay her down on the bed and set beside her until she fall asleep. She held his hand tighly; she was afraid if he left.

It was already midnight and Khushi in a deep sleep, and Arnav ring Akash for his help.

Akash: hello?

Arnav: I need to talk to you urgently. Will meet tomorrow at the same place

Akash: what happened?

Arnav: I will tell you when we meet

Akash: okay

Arnav: hey buddy, I have a request. Help me with something
