Next part
It has been a month since I have joined my academy. It feels great here. Dance had been my craving right from my childhood and now I feel closer to it; closer to my dreams.
New York is an incredible and lively place. I have definitely made great friends here in the academy that are from various parts of the world. It feels privileged to be a part of an International Forum. I made the right choice, maybe.
I am happy, satisfied, contented but still somewhere in my heart it doesn't feel right. It's obvious to miss your family, friends, cast and crew of my first fiction show Dil Dosti Dance. However, there is someone I really long to see and never fail to think about him every night before going to bed.
"Kunwar" I whispered holding the frame of our memories, a replica of the good bye present I gave him.
Looking at all our pictures from the very beginning of our journey makes me recall our moments which never fail to brighten me up whenever I feel low.
"It's been a month since I saw you, felt your presence."
My voice becomes wobbly while saying this and a lone tear escapes from my eye.
We do talk to each other on phone or have a text chat whenever possible in between our hectic schedule.
Nonetheless, we aren't able to be so free with each other like we used to be. I miss those infinite moments on the sets of Dil Dosti Dance.
"I love you Kunwar." I smiled while saying this and retired to bed.
A couple of minutes passed but I was unable to sleep. I switched on the bedside lamp to check the time and it was 1 am. I had to sleep. I was exhausted from all the dance routines throughout the day but I just couldn't relax myself.
I switched on my television, surfing through various mindless programmes at this hour so that my eyes become worn-out and force me to sleep.
It didn't help. I was still wide awake.
People have sea sickness, home sickness but I evidently was suffering from 'Kunwar Sickness'. I chuckled at my new word.
Getting inside the bed once again, I tried to sleep but I guess it was just miles away from me.
"Should I call him?" I asked myself fiddling with my phone.
I called him instantly, without thinking more about it. His number was on speed dial and I immediately held the phone close to my ears.
"What the hell! Why is your phone switched off?" I groaned and threw my phone on the other side of the bed.
Yes, some of the after effects of 'Kunwar Sickness' also included mood swings.
I shut my eyes forcefully and pulled the blanket over. Just then my doorbell rang.
"Who is it at this hour?" I literally shouted not caring to get up from the bed and hoping that the passer-by would leave.
I got up heatedly when it had ringed about three times and I just couldn't tolerate more.
Swinging the handle, the door opened and my eyes landed on a man dressed in faded blue jeans paired with a black shirt. He was holding a small bag by his side.
I moved forward to look at him clearly since he wasn't visible due to the darkness.
"Kunwar." I said feeling surprised about his presence while he shot his million dollar smile.
"Not again! I know I am dreaming!" I scolded myself and shut the door at him.
The doorbell rang again. I opened the door to find him still standing there.
"Are you really there? As in for real?" I asked him still not being able to digest that he was standing at my door step.
"Yes Shaks! Like I said, surprise visit." he smiled.
"Kunwar! Kunwar!" I squealed like a five year old and embraced him instantly with a lot of force. It took him a few seconds to maintain his balance and then he squeezed me back.
"I missed you so much!" I said still holding him.
"I missed you too!" he grinned and pulled me closer.
THE END
...
ok, so how was it? Do hit the like tab and don't forget to leave your comments.
I know this was short, but I have completed the story now.
I didn't want it to be like the very much anticipated and predictable confession. They'll take their time but these moments actually project that both of them have feelings for each other.
I never wanted it to turn out to be all emotional an senti OS, but the first part just turned out to be quite sad. So, I had to write this part to justify that it isn't one sided love.
I have a good news for you all! Guess karo, kya hai..! 😃
