Arnav told him about his encounter with Kamla and how he got worried since this may involve his dear sister, Anjali.
Shashi's expression started to change quite a bit now, and it appeared to Arnav that he wanted to say something. Shashi was getting anxious when Arnav realized he had probably pushed this poor guy too much.

Arnav: I know I shouldn't have asked all these questions when I know your condition

Arnav stood up and left the room.

Part 8

On his way out he glanced at Khushi's room where he was with her just a few days ago. Looking at the air conditioner up in the wall, he recalled how they spent their night sleeping together on the same bed for the first time. He passed by the guestroom and remembered how Khushi helped her friend Preetika get ready for her wedding when the neighborhood girls asked Khushi about her own wedding. She looked painfully sad describing her imaginary perfect wedding that never took place. Arnav felt a twinge of sorrow thinking how he had quashed her dreams. He also reflected how he wasn't the first one to do so. His face hardened thinking about Khushi's previous broken engagement. He looked at the door and remembered how Khushi had knocked this very door months ago with a rueful look on her face, calling out to her ex-fiance '

Wait! His name was also Shyam. Could it be '?

Arnav felt nauseous all of a sudden. Is this possible? He rushed back to Shashi's room.

Arnav *highly anxious*: Was my brother-in-law your paying guest?

Shashi *eyes opened wide*

Arnav: Please tell me! Was he engaged to Khushi? I need to know this.

Madhumati had walked into the room hearing the commotion.

Madhumati *looking at Arnav*: Is there anything wrong damad ji?

Arnav *turning to Madhumati*: Was Shyam your paying guest? Is my jeeja ji the one who was engaged to Khushi?

Madhumati *placing a hand on her forehead*: Hai Nandkishore! Who told you this?

Arnav: Bua ji please answer me .. was he?

Madhumati exchanged a glance with Shashi and made a decision, Garima not being in the house for the time being made it easier for Madhumati to rely on her guts. She grabbed Arnav by the hand and took him to Khushi's room. "There is something you need to know" Madhumati started.

Madhumati told Arnav everything she knew about Shyam, how he had pursued Khushi and stalked her even after the engagement was called off. She also told Arnav how hiding Shyam's truth was Khushi's decision, as she did not think Anjali was strong enough to handle it.

So Khushi was telling the truth! It was clear she didn't love Shyam. Does that mean she '?

Arnav suddenly felt everything around him collapsing down into pieces, or was it the sound of his own heart break? ! He had mistreated and hurt his Khushi all along when all she wanted to do was actually protect him and Anjali. How could he be so gravely wrong in judging the only person that meant the world to him?

Madhumati went on talking about how Khushi had always put others happiness before hers when Arnav started to feel a throbbing pain in his chest. It felt as if someone had just drawn all the blood from his heart and threw him into a grim dungeon to suffer alone. Is there enough air surrounding through? Why is he having so much trouble breathing? Arnav's legs started to wobble, and he had to sit down to retain his balance.

Madhumati suddenly noticed the paleness in Arnav's face.

Madhumati: Are you ok? Let me get you a glass of water

Arnav: I'm fine. I need to go

He somehow managed to stand up on his feet again and left the Gupta House. This can't be happening to him! He needed to find her, and he needed to do it fast!

Okay now that I'm over my childish side, my thoughts on the update:
It was a wonderful update, I'm so happy realization dawned on him and e found out the truth! He was pretty stupid to think Khushi would have an affair! I think ASR needs this realization in the show! Anyway continue soon and that for the PM!
