Three days had passed in just the blink of an eye, and suhani was married to adhiraj by fulfilling all rituals. Shergill Mansion had now become completely silent, as all guests and relatives had left, and now only SD, samrat and gunjan lived along with two servants and three maids.
Suhani even fulfilled the ritual of pag-phera, after which she left for New York with adhiraj and his family, now her in-laws. Samrat, though missed suhani badly, was satisfied on the positive side that his sister got a perfect life-partner and respectful in-laws. She would lead a happy life with them. And Indira's soul would be completely in peace to see her son and daughter settled in their lives.

This was one fine morning, when gunjan made her way to meet her father, after samrat left for office. She did not tell him, as he would get panicked and worried. She gathered much courage and knocked on the door of the cabin. "Come In" was Shashank's words, after which gunjan slowly stepped in, looking at him intently. How was she supposed to believe that the person standing in front of her, her own father unknowingly ruined her past? While Shashank stood up in shock, she did not utter a word.
"Tum yahan kyun aayi ho?" he said, trying to suppress his anger, "maine kaha tha na tumse ki mujhe tumse koi baat nahi karni hai! Fir kyun aayi ho yahan?"
Gunjan still did not day anything.
"Dekho gunjan, isse pehle ki main gusse mein kuchh kar doon, tum…"
"Ab aur kya karne ko baaki reh gaya hai papa?"
Gunjan interrupted, giving a slight sarcastic smile to her father, who stood completely perplexed at her statement.
"Kya matlab hai tumhara?"
"Aapne pehle hi itna kuchh kar dia hai papa, ki ab kuchh bacha hi nahi hai karne ko…. Itne ehsaan kiye hain aapne mujh par, samrat par…" she said in the same tone.
"Gunjan tum kehna kya chahti ho, saaf saaf kaho…!" Shashank asked in anger.
"theek hai, saaf saaf hi keh deti hun… waise bhi, thak gayi hun main ab in sab se!" gunjan said in a tensed tone, "agar aapko mujhse ye ummeed nahi thi ki main aapke against jaa kar samrat se shaadi karungi, toh maine bhi kabhi aapse ummeed nahi ki thi, ki aap mujhe samrat se door karne ke liye itna kuchh kar denge!"
Shashank had slowly begun to understand what she was saying, and she went on repeating the words of dia and samrat. Shashank's expressions changed, as gunjan admitted that she knew all about the cheating fiasco which was created by him, only to get samrat involved in it. How he convinced gunjan to go USA and when she returned back, he sweetly brain-washed her to get married to armaan.
Shashank was completely surprised at this, but this didn't stop gunjan to speak further.
"Aap mujhse bade hain papa, aur isi rishte se main aapki bahut izzat karti hun… bhagwaan ke baad maine aapko hi maana, mumma ke mana karne ke baad bhi main armaan se shaadi karne ke liye taiyyar ho gayi… sirf aapke khushi ke liye. Aur aapne ye sab kiya?" gunjan cried, "agar aapko meri aur samrat ki dosti se itni hi takleef thi, toh aapne pehle hi keh dia hota. Haan, tab mujhe bura lagta, lekin itna nahi jitna ab lag raha hai, ye jaanne ke baad ki aapne hamari dosti todne ke liye samrat par jhootha ilzaam lagwa dia! Kyun aapne mujhe pehle nahi bataya…"
"kyunki tumhari samajh mein koi baat nahi aati, isliye mujhe na chahte hue ye sab karna pada!" Shashank admitted, "mere laakh mana karne ke baad bhi wo ladka tumse milta raha, aur tumse pyaar…"
"pyaar bhi kabhi kisi ke rokne se ruka hai kya papa, jo samrat mujhse milna chhod deta?" gunjan asked out of amusement, "wo toh mujhse itna pyaar karta hai, ki main apni saari pareshaaniyan bhool jaati hun…"
"ye sab sirf bakwaas hai gunjan."
"itne mahino tak main uske saath ek contract ke basis par rahi… usne mujhe pyaar ka matlab sikhaya, pyaar karna sikhaya… aur aap kehte hain ki ye sab bakwaas hai??" she retorted.
"duniya pyaar pe hi nahi chalti hai… kya tumhe lagta hai ki aage ki zindagi mein bhi tum samrat ke saath khush rahogi? Bolo?" he questioned.
"mujhe lagta nahi, poora vishwaas hai, ki main apni aakhiri saans tak samrat ke saath khush rahungi."
"tumhara pita hone ke naate main tumhari khushi hi chaahunga gunjan… lekin samrat ke saath tum kabhi khush nahi reh paogi… usme itni samajh nahi hai ki wo tumhare saath rahe… wo tumhare laayak nahi hai!"
"aapko jawaab dene ka mera koi haq nahi hai, lekin main apne pati ke khilaaf ek shabd nahi sun sakti hun." Gunjan replied firmly, "mujhe samrat par khud se zyada bharosa hai… wo mujhe khush rakhne ke liye kuchh bhi kar sakta hai... wo hamesha mera khayal rakhega!"
"chahta toh main bhi yehi hun... lekin aisa hoga nahi!" he replied back.
"ek na ek din aapki ye galatfehmi door hogi papa... zarur hogi. Aapne mere saath jo kiya, uske liye main aapse bilkul naraaz nahi hun, lekin aapne jo samrat ke saath kiya hai, uske liye main aapko maaf nahi kar paungi!"
Gunjan said these harsh words to her father and left from there with teary eyes. Shashank did not pay any attention to her words, as he thought his daughter to be too nave to understand worldly things, but little did he know that the same nave girl will some day prove him wrong.

"aaj main papa se milne gayi thi."
Gunjan said to samrat in evening, while he was busy checking some files very keenly. She waited for him to say or ask some thing, but he looked at her surprisingly for a moment.
"tumne kya baat ki unse? Koi argument toh nahi hua wahan pe..."
Samrat asked a bit worriedly, to which gunjan smiled slightly and told him everything about her meeting with Shashank. He was worried whether gunjan had an argument with her father, to which she denied and said that though it was a heated conversation, but she managed the situation maturely.
"tumhe unse wo sab nahi kehna chahiye tha gunjan! Wo tumhare papa hain, bade hain tumse... unhe kitna bura laga hoga!" samrat said, after hearing gunjan.
"tum ab bhi yehi keh rahe ho?" she looked at him bewildered, "unhone tumhare saath kitna bura kiya, tum par cheating jaisa ghatiya ilzaam lagwaya... tum samajhte ho ki iski wajah se tumhara future barbaad ho sakta tha??"
"ho sakta tha gunjan, hua toh nahi hai na?"
"kis mitti ke bane ho tum? Itna hone ke baad bhi tum yehi keh rahe ho?" she retorted, "lekin main tumhari jaisi bilkul bhi nahi hun... main apne pati ke khilaaf ek shabd nahi sun sakti hun."
"I understand gunjan ki unhone mere saath galat kiya, lekin iska ye matlab toh nahi hai na ki tum unse saare rishte naate tod lo? Wo tumhare pita hain... unhone tumhare future ke baare mein soch kar hi aisa kiya..."
"mere future ke liye unhone tumhara future barbaad karne ki koshish ki!" she cried, "tum soch bhi nahi sakte ho samrat ki main kitna guilty feel kar rahi hun... us waqt maine tum par vishwaas kyun nahi kiya..!"
"gunjan please... please wo sab bhool jao... wo sab sirf past tha... use baar baar yaad karne se sirf dukh hoga, aur kuchh nahi." Samrat tried to explain her calmly.
"main papa se tab tak koi baat nahi karungi, jab tak unhe ye ehsaas nahi ho jaata hai ki main tumhare saath zindagi bhar khush rahungi!" gunjan said innocently, and hugged samrat. Though he did not say anything further, but he had made up his mind that he would not let the differences between gunjan and Shashank to be maintained for a longer time.

Even the next day, gunjan was feeling low. She was still upset regarding the yesterday's incident, and how she decided to keep away from her own father for some time. Samrat saw her, and thought of lightening up her mood. After all, he was the only one now who could make her smile and give her some peace!
"samrat please chhodo!" gunjan pleaded, when she felt samrat's cold hands wrapping around her bare waist in a teasing manner.
"chhod dunga toh romance kaise karunga?" he whispered, while busy kissing her neck.
"tumhe kabhi kuchh aur nahi soojhta hai kya?" she retorted, "dekho, late ho rahe ho, jaake taiyyar toh ho jao!"
"nahi, aaj main office nahi jaunga!"
'wo kis khushi mein?"
"ainvayi!"
He smiled, still busy kissing her, but gunjan had understood that he was doing this simply to lighten up her mood. She felt so lucky to have a caring husband like samrat- how was Shashank supposed to think that samrat is not worthy for gunjan! She thought this and turned to him, making him slightly disturbed in between those teasing kisses.
"tum aaj office meri wajah se nahi jaa rahe ho na samrat?"
"aisa kuchh nahi hai! Main toh bas apni pyaari si wife ke saath kuchh romantic time spend karna chahta hun." He lied, giving his sweet smile.
"jhooth mat bolo!" she said, and then gently cupped his face, "main bilkul theek hun... aur tum office jaa rahe ho!"
"main tumhe akela nahi chhod sakta hun." He said firmly.
"kisne kaha main akeli hun? Tum hamesha ho na mere saath!" gunjan smiled.
"please gunjan. I know ki tum theek nahi ho."
"aur agar tum apna kam chhod kar mere paas rahoge toh kya mujhe achha lagega?"
"tumse behes karna bekaar hai!" samrat frowned.
"bahut jaldi samajh gaye!"
Both laughed, and then on much insistence of gunjan, samrat from the kitchen, towards him room to get ready for office. Meanwhile, she prepared the breakfast.
Samrat came down to have breakfast, which was quickly prepared and ready to be served. SD too joined them on the table, and they talked about today's schedule, while gunjan served them the meal.
"hamein ab chalna chahiye samrat!" SD said, and then stood up from the chair, taking his coat in his hand.
"aap chaliye dad, main gunjan se milke aata hun... wo thodi pareshan si hai." Samrat replied.
"okay, lekin jaldi aana."
SD left, while samrat made his way towards his room, where gunjan was busy setting the cupboard.
"gunjan!" samrat called her softly, and then walked upto her, "you sure ki tum theek ho?"
"haan baba!"
"pakka?" he asked in concern, "agar tum chaho main abhi dad se keh deta hun ki main aaj office nahi..."
"samrat, main sach mein theek hun! Ab stamp paper pe sign karke doon kya?" gunjan said amusingly.
"hmmm..." samrat sighed, and then a mischievous idea clicked in his mind, while gunjan waited for him to say something, "toh agar main kahun ki tum prove karke dikhao ki tum theek ho toh?"
"ye kya matlab hai?"
"jo main kahunga, agar tumne wo kiya, toh main samajh jaunga ki tum theek ho. Tab hi main office jaunga!" he said.
"tum bhi na!" gunjan said, and then gave in to obey his request, "kya karna hoga mujhe?"
"well, tum khud hi samajhdaar ho!" he said, giving his naughtiest smile ever. "jo main kitchen mein tumhare saath kar raha tha, wahi ab tum yahan... mere saath..."
"samrat please...!" gunjan blushed, and moved her eyes down.
"kyun, apne pati ko romance karna koi buri baat hai kya?" he said, pulling her closer by waist, "mujhe bhi toh pata chale ki meri gunjan romantic hai bhi ya nahi!"
He smiled, while gunjan blushed slightly, but understood that she had to do what he wanted. Shyly, she cupped his face, and placed a soft kiss on his forehead, moving down and kissed on his both eyes, and then on both the cheeks. She then tried to move back, but samrat held her tightly.
"aap ek aur kiss bhool rahi hain Mrs. Shergill!"
Samrat winked naughtily, while gunjan blushed again, and again tried to escape from him, but in vain. He then moved a bit forward to capture her soft lips in his, and gunjan closed her eyes, but at that very moment, SD called samrat to come quickly, as they were running late.
"Huh..!"
Samrat frowned. Gunjan smiled widely at him, who looked cute even while he was angry and pissed off at something.
"tumhe badi hassi aa rahi hai!" he taunted, when he saw her giggling.
"kyunki tum gusse mein bilkul ek chhote se baby ki tarah lagte ho!" she complimented. "aur ab tumhe meri fikar chhod kar office jaana chahiye, waise bhi late ho gaye ho!"
"jaaunga, lekin abhi ek chhota sa kaam baaki hai."
"kya?"
Samrat moved closer towards her, leaned down and softly pecked her lips, making her cheeks glow pink due to blush.
"ho gaya wo kaam. Bye!" he smiled.
"bye!"
Samrat left the room, after seeing the smiling face of his wife, while gunjan turned back and resumed to set the clothes nicely in cupboard. After that, she was about to leave the room, when she heard the message tone from her cell phone.
"savere savere kiska message ho sakta hai?"
She wondered, and turned back, picking up the mobile to read the message. And the moment she read the text, her eyes widened in astonishment. But less of surprise, her eyes were filled with a kind of fear.
"Main, aaj Australia se wapas aa raha hun, kal tumse milne aaunga. Hope everything is fine with you.
