History, as they would say, was repeating itself gloriously. Seven years wasnt really a history practically but for them these years were more than decades.Seven years back she was travelling the same path. Then, she didnt know what life held for her ahead and here also she didnt know what she would be facing ahead. But leaving behind the fear of the unknown, she moved ahead only to reach the same ramp where the fashion show was being continuing. And yet again, she was pushed onto the ramp accidentally by someone. And there she stood, with sparkles of tears in her eyes, wearing a red saree-his favourite one. she walked ahead on the ramp, not walked but dragged, her eyes searching him.
The moment he saw her on the ramp, he couldnt believe his eyes. He rubbed his eyes twice to make sure he wasnt dreaming. but before he could do or say anything, she tripped and fell down only too be caught in his strong mascular arms. Nostalgia conquered them both in this one moment.
After moments of nostalgia, they both came to realizing present as they heard sounds of clicking and light flashes-the media. How could the media let go off of a moment where the mighty ASR had a girl wrapped up in his arms-that too a girl who was the reason of the occassion. He let her down and immediately ordered the media to give them their required privacy. The media did as directed. The fashion show continued when arnav and khushi just stood facing each other all the while. She broke the eye contact when she noticed something. She noticed the ambience which left her dumbstruck. It contained her pictures-all around-all of them huge. The colour theme of the surrounding revealed her choice-all bright and blingy. She finally knew who the special one was who was mentioned in the newspaper. She looked at him again and found him looking at her-his eyes all teary. He was so lost in her that he failed to notice his name being announced on the stage. He was being summoned on the stage as the 'man of the hour'.
'Khushi..' His voice was all husky. He could only manage to speak her name before he wwas called out to again. He held her hand and without thinking of the consequences and took her to the stage with him.
"The lady of the Hour, ladies and gentlemen-Khushi rai..." He stopped not knowing how to address her. He continued "Khushi. My inspiartion, my love, my life, the reason of today."
The audience went in to a loud apllause. Khushi smiled weakly, trying her best to control her overflowing emotions. The show was over, the audience all gone. The room now only contained Arnav and Khushi, standing merely inches apart, looking deep down each other's souls. And before anyone said anything they captured each other in a hug. Not only their bodies, but their souls were also entwined with each other. Both their souls were crying out in the want of the other. Their embrace seemed endless. They didnot want to part and could spend a lifetime that way.
they finally parted and looked at each other-both of them full in tears.
"Khushi...Khus-h-i.." he stammered.
They both were short of words to say. They stood there just looking at each other. He could see a swirl of emotions in her eyes. He could see anger, care, love, hurt, hatred-all together. He couldnt guess which emotion was stronger. She turned her back to him not wanting him to read her eyes.
"Khushi.. Look at me Khushi." He said.
She turned back at his command and said "Arnav, let me go. If i stay here more, I'll break down."
"I am here to hold you if you do."
"You wont be able to handle this time."
"If its for you, I can handle everything."
He held her by her shoulders and came closer. Their bodies collided. He was about to say something when something stopped him. He saw reluctance in her eyes-reluctance for getting him close. He moved away and created distance.
Sounds of thundering engulfed the room. It was accompanied by the sound of raindrops touching the earth. She loved rain he thought. He hated it she thought.
"I'll better leave" She said.
"Give me a chance Khushi."
She turned towards him and shot him a look which he read as impossibility. He didnt want to hurt her anymore. He thought of carrying on life without her only now, so he changed the topic.
"Let me drop you home." He said.
"I can manage."
"Oh, I see. You havent changed a bit. But you know what, even I havent and i was and always will be more adamant than you. So come."
"Wrong Arnav. You have changed." She let her heart speak this time. She was lost, lost to her heart. her mind had taken a backseat now. She continued walking towards him until they were merely inches apart " Arnav, these eyes of yours, they dont speak volumes anymore. Though filled with tears, they are dry. You lips dont create that magic anymore when you speak. I can see a wall created by you to hide yourself from the world. This heart of yours is overflowing with feelings arnav, let them out."
"Nothing like that Khushi, i am devoid of feelings like always."
"lying to me?"
"Yes."
"And may I know the reason?"
"you wont be able to handle this time, Khushi."
"If its for you, I can handle everything."
