Chapter 3

SURPRISE!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KHUSHI!!!!!

The lights went on and Khushi sees her family and friends.

K: Wow! And I thought that you forgot about me!

G: How could we forget about you?

S: You are my crazy little daughter! (gives her a hug)

K: You guys are the best! Thank you so much.

G: Don't thank us.

S: Thank Arjun and Aarohi. It was their idea.

Khushi goes to Aarohi.

K: Thank you so much you are the best! (gives Aarohi a hug)

Aa: The bestest friend in the world deserves nothing but the best!

K: Thank you Arjun.

Ar: Hey, anything for you. (gives her a hug)

He whispers in her ear "Only one year left,". "I know." Khushi replied.

Aa: Khushi, come with me. We gotta dress you up for the rest of the party.

K: Okay, let's go.

While Khushi was getting ready, Garima brought Payal to her room.

G: Khushi, look who's here! Come in.

K: JIJI!!!!!

P: Happy Birthday Khushi!

K: Thank you so much, Jiji! You are the best.

P: Now come on, let me help you get ready.

After 10 minutes, Khushi was finally ready. Despite her many protests, Payal, Aarohi and Garima had finally gotten her to wear a beautiful saree.

An: Chotte come in na!

A: Di, why did you have to drag me here? It's your friend's party.

An: Yes, but I want you to come too. Oh look, Shashi uncle is on stage. Come!

S: May I have your attention please?

Well first of all, I would like to thank all of you for coming and celebrating my daughter's birthday. Here she is.

Arnav looks at Khushi as she descends the stairs. Arnav is mesmerized by how beautiful she looks.

As Khushi looks at the sea of people, one person amongst them catches her eye. No, not Arjun. Arnav. "What is he doing here?" she thinks. She looks at him, and the two of them share a short eyelock until Shashi's voice breaks through.

S: Come here, Khushi beta.

Khushi went on stage. On the stage were, Aarohi, Arjun, Payal Garima, Shashi, Dilip, Naina and Rohan, Payal's husband. Khushi instinctively went and stood next to Arjun.

S: Om Prakash, please bring the cake.

Om Prakash wheeled in the cake.

An: Doesn't she look beautiful, Chotte? Chotte?

Anjali waves her hand in front of Arnav's face, who is still mesmerized by Khushi. Finally he sees the hand.

A: What happened, Di?

An: Nothing happened to me. Who's thoughts were you lost in?

A: No one's Di.

S: Let's cut the cake!

Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Khushi. Happy birthday to you.

Everyone who was on the stage, took turns feeding Khushi.

PRECAP: A dance or 2? And a trip to Spain?

Sorry guys for the really late update, but I was really busy in school. I know I promised that I would update earlier, but school has been really hectic this week. The next part will be updated soon and a lot longer, and that's a promise I will keep.
