"Bhabi..yeh..office waalon ne bhijwaya hai aapke liye.."

Khushi took the packet from his hands

"kya hai'?"

"pata nahi bhabi.. bhaiyya ne kaha aapko pahuncha dene toh..achcha main chalta hoon"

Khushi opened the pack and squealed with delight.. it was a pack of churiwala's jalebis...quite a big one at that'

"kuch nahi toh yeh laad governer apne office waalon se hi kuch seekh len.."

As she whirled around, the 'aadat se majbur' KKGSR , tripped over, held the table for support which fell along with her and also the 'jaan' of Mr Arnav Singh Raizada his beloved laptop fell crashing to the floor..

Khushi's eyes widened with horror as she saw the sight..it had'nt broken of course, but would it work?...muttering all her prayers she pressed the on button'blank'pressed...repressed.. every button..blank.

Her heart came down with a huge thump as she remembered his words long back.."tumhe toh iski keemat bhi pata nahi hogi"

"ab hum kya Karen? laptop ghar pe chod ke jane ki chiz hoti hai?"

she banged the poor object with her fist

"sharm nahi aati? Arnav Singh Raizada ke laptop ho! pahaad se bhi gir ke nahi tootna chahiye!!itne sakht insaan ka itna naazuk saamaan..ab hum kya Karen..."

AT AR

AMAN!AMAN!

"Ye..Yes sir"

"dammit abhi tak naya laptop kyun nahi aaya? 2 days? in 2 damn days you could'nt..?"

"Sorry ASR.. . its coming today for sure.. latest model so it had not reached the markets here as yet..i'll.."

"I DON'T CARE DAMMIT! do din se laptop mere ghar pe bekaar pada hai.. I'm using the official one'I want it today!get it?"

"sure sir, positively"

Aman walked out'it was a good thing his name was 'Aman' (peace).. sort of inspiration to handle this guy.. God'he could'nt remember when last apart from "yes sir" had he completed one whole sentence before it was interrupted by 'whatever'/ 'just do it dammit!'/ 'anyway'/ 'shutup'/ 'what the'/ 'out' / 'now'/ or if nothing a beeep click'marking that since asr had said his last word nothing could possibly be important enough to keep the line hanging..

SHANTIVAN

"Khushiji aap pareshan lag rahe ho, kya baat hai?"

"Kuch nai di..hum thik hain.."

Now all the ladies at Shantivan, be it nani , paayal, anjali, all of them possessed the adorable property of not suspecting or understanding anything till it hit them right in the face.. so even if you looked at them like something apocalyptic had happened but coupled it with a "hum thik hain", they smiled, nodded their head twice in a sparrow like fashion, raised and rested one arm on your shoulder and moved on..it always worked..today was no exception..

Khushi silently went to her room' took off the gold earings amma had given her..put the one anjali had on, and dropped the message that she was off to the market and would be back soon..she refused the car..(a car from shantivan could not halt at a gold jeweller's shop to sell..)

It was 6:00 in the evening when Arnav Singh Raizada entered RM As he entered his room the chime overhead made a loud announcement of his arrival'this had to come off'it was so damn embarrassing'one day she would insist on putting one around his neck..he was just resting his new laptop case on the side table..
