Mukti was as surprised as Shakti when she told her about his anniversary surprise.

Mukti- and this happened on your Anni?... but that was what like 2 months back???!!!... and you tell me this now????!!!... Shakti Mohan!!... you've been hiding a lot of things from me lately'.. just because you've got a boyfriend now, that doesn't me you ignore me.

Shakti knew this would come'.. emotional drama was Mukti's birthright.

Shakti- oh stop it Muks'.. what would I have told you?... I don't understand that guy, myself!!... that was the first and the last time he asked'' uske baad just nothing'' we've never spoken about it yet'' it wasn't like I gave him any answer, but he never tried again.

She laughed at her own joke'.. but on seeing Shakti glare at her, she quickly contained herself.

Mukti- maybe he's just giving you some more time.

Shakti- hmm'' or maybe he's just sick of me'.. you know?... I've hardly seen him in these two months'.. woh bhi itna busy reheta hai aaj kal.

Mukti- sweetheart, ab tum dono ordinary people toh ho nahi... you'll both have prior commitments and hectic schedules'' and you'll have always accepted that in your relationship'.. so now I don't think you should be complaining.

Shakti sighed'.. she was right'.. I'm bickering like a middle aged woman.

Mukti- and it's not like if you say no'.. he would walk away'.. itna toh main bhi usse jaanti hun ke he'll give you as much time as you want.

Shakti- I was never worried about that.

Mukti- oh ya sorry'. My bad'.. you are just worried why hasn't he asked again. (roll eyes)

Shakti- you know you're useless!!... why don't you just leave me alone. (snapped)

Mukti- kya yaar, sach bolo toh bhi problem'. Achha baba thik hai'.. forget this and tell me where are you both going today?

Shakti- I don't know'' and I don't think we're even meeting today'.. he's busy with his shoot and I still haven't packed'' maybe he'll just come to drop me at the airport.

She was going to Dubai tomorrow for about a week, for an award function at which she was performing'.. they usually spent their evenings before she had to fly long distance'.. but today he hadn't bothered.

Mukti- you guys are really behaving like a 50 year old married couple'.. Bo-ringgg!!!

Shakti let out a cold sigh'. I second that thought!

Later in the evening, she was busy packing her bag, when her mom popped her head in the room.

Shakti- Sweetie, Amar's here.

Shakti- Kunwar?... now?

Checking the time, she looked over her mom's shoulder to see him standing right outside her door.

Moving back for Amar to step in, Shakti's mom quickly excused herself and left.

Amar- hi

Shakti- hi

Amar- all packed?

Shakti- ummm'. Almost.

Why so formal?... and why was he standing so far away?

Like as if he had read her mind, he quickly covered the distance between them'.. kissing her until she was dizzy with the lack of oxygen, he slowly pulled back'' according to Mukti they would be a 50 year old married couple but when it comes to this, no one could deny the sparks flying around.

(completely second that.. nobod can deny the sparks!! 😉)

Amar- I've missed you.

Shakti- me too'.. I thought I wouldn't get to see you until next week.

Amar- I'm sorry'' I was held up.

Shakti- I know'.. I understand Kunwar.

Amar- you're the best girlfriend ever!!

She laughed.

Shakti- I know that too.

Amar- mind if I stole you for the night?... I'll drop you to the airport tomorrow myself.

Shakti- (shocked) you really have the balls to come and ask me out when I'm home with everyone.

Amar- (smirked) I'll take that as a yes'.. now all I have to do is, make up a story to convince your parents (wink)'.. you have 15 minutes to finish packing.

And he hurried outside.

Shakti- what did you tell my mom?

Amar- why?... did she ask you something?

Shakti- no'.. that's exactly my point'.. she dint ask me anything!'.. so I was wondering what did you tell her.

Amar- oh just that we're partying with others, after which you'll be staying over at Sneha's'.. and don't worry, Sneha knows.

Hmmm'.. it made sense.

Instead of taking a right turn for his place, he went straight ahead.

Shakti- (frowned) I thought we were going home.

Amar- nope.

Shakti- toh?

Amar- you'll see.

Half an hour later'.. they stood below Gate way of India'.. waiting for their ride.

Shakti- where are you taking me at this hour?

Amar- paradise.

Shakti- (roll eyes)ya ya''when did you even have the time to make all these arrangements?

Amar- I took the day off'.. a fake upset stomach helped. (wink)

She laughed.

Shakti- you're crazy!

He grinned back.

They were soon shown the way to their double storey yacht.

Shakti- oh my god!!

Amar- what?

Shakti- that's huge!!'.. and sooo beautiful!!... how many people are going in that thing?

Amar- it's just us, Shaks.

As if she though he would allow any kabab main haddis.

Shakti- are you kidding me?... you hired this lavish ride just for two?

Amar- my jaan'' there are many more boats for other people'.. If that is what's worrying you. (wink)

Shakti- you're seriously crazy!

She roamed around admiring the craft'.. it was exquisite!!... Certainly one of the dream rides of Mumbai'. It had a primary upper deck with a cute little lounging area at the back.'.. in the middle was the main salon with tons of seating and comfortable sofas for nearly 8-10 people'.. he had really taken a lot of trouble to find this one'.. she hadn't seen the lower deck yet, but she was sure it was just as grand.

(the description of the yacht was superb!! and very very detailed!! makes me get suspicious! hmmm.. tish??)

She waited for him on the upper deck, gazing at the beautiful starry sky, with beads of sea water splashing on her face with the moving yacht'.. while he had gone to speak to the captain to see if the ride was ok.

Oh, she loved him so much!!'.. he was the sweetest person on earth'.. just when things seem to get stressed between them, he would do something so unpredictable'.. each time flabbergasting her'.. he made all their time apart seem like mere minutes'' and she loved him for that'.. she could forget all her frets when around him.

A pair of hands fastening around her waist made her turn.

Amar- like it?

Shakti- love it!

Amar- hungry?

Shakti- very much.

Smiling he led her to the lower deck to the dining area.

A dinner for two was already set on the table'.. the delicious aromas making her tummy scream out in pain.

They helped themselves to a hearty meal while they talked, laughed, even fought on silly things.

( I love the fact that u keep them true to their essence... the are sooo not the conventional sappily in love couple in ur FF!! its impossible for them not to fight!)

Later he took her back to the upper deck where they danced the night away below the stars.

When they were tired to even move a muscle, they lay down on the floor admiring the glittery sky, with her head propped up on his chest and their fingers locked together.

Shakti- this was the best night I've ever had.

Kissing the top of her head'..

Amar- me too.

Shakti- and now I don't feel like going tomorrow. (sigh)

There were a couple of minutes of silence before he spoke up'..

Amar- Shaks?

Shakti- hmm?

Amar- marry me'..

(Me saw that one coming actually..!! hehehehehe)

She stiffened in his arms.

Shakti- (sigh) not again Kunwar'..

(saw that one coming too!!)

Amar- just say yes then.

They lay there silently for sometime'.. hearing the flutter of their heart beats in the silent night'.. he felt her relax a little'.. maybe she was dozing off again'.. it dint seem like he would get to hear what he was dying to hear from her mouth.

Shakti- Yes.

(dint see that one coming at all!! complete homerun it wajjj!! i had my mouth open for like a minute!! hehehehe!!)

Amar- what??

(exactly my reaction!😉)

He sat up, pulling her with him to stare at her'' he shook his head to make sure he wasn't having any of his auditory hallucinations'.. did she just say yes?????

Shakti- I said yes.

Confirming what he had heard.

(reading the above part again, to confirm i have read right!!)

Amar- yes??

Shakti- arre haan'.. yes!'.. why is it so hard for you to believe?

(Its impossible for anyone to believe!! Shaks saying yes!! hehehehehe!!! Mind I say, Superbly written!)

Amar- I'.. (frown)'.. you'll marry me??

She dint know whether to laugh or tear her hair out in frustration.

Cupping his face in her hands, she looked straight in his chocolate orbs.

Shakti- yes Kunwar, I'll marry you!

He thought he would pass out any minute'.. he could not believe his ears!!... taking in the sight of her beautiful eyes, he waited to be awakened from his dream'.. she blinked and he knew it was no dream'' swiftly getting up, he ran to the deck railing'.. getting on top of the bottom one and extending both his arms above his head in victory he yelled out in the open night''..

Amar- SHE SAID YES!!!!!

(Seriously, full on filmy ur going nowadays!! not dat m complaining..!! i love d filmy parts even more!! 😃)

Shaking her head, she laughed at his silly exaggerated frenzy.

Shakti- (whisper) pagal

(rightly said!)

He jumped back down and walked towards her with long certain strides'.. Scoping her up in his arms he escorted her to their master suit, kissing her senseless.
