Ayaan backtracked the few paces and said ,"hey...seeing as it's lunchtime and you were heading in that direction don't you want to grab some lunch,"

"oh yeah" Suhana said and began walking with him towards the canteen.

Ayaan didn't know what to talk about, he wanted to say something...something funny, interesting, Suhana also didn't know what to say.

"uhh so how's first day at work?" Ayaan asked trying to think of something else to talk about. He noticed Suhana kept looking at her watch every few seconds or else kept tucking her hair behind her ear, was she nerveous or was he just boring her and she was feeling awkward in his company Ayaan thought

"oh it's been quite amazing actually...these kids are so cute, just seeing their innocence and mischief even as some of them battle for their lives is a sight to see...they think their biggest problem is avoiding medicines and are so oblivious to the problems that await them...their biggest happiness is the chocolates you'll bring them and the stickers we'll give them after injections, they are so unaware of the happiness the world can hold for them...their biggest pain is an injection, they still don't know about all the pain and hurt this world is capable of inflicting on them...sometimes don't you wish you could just live your childhood again" Suhana replied to the basic question, these had been all the thoughts running in her head all day and poured out infront of Ayaan who just carried on looking at her and thinking about her question...would he want to relive his childhood?

"I'm sorry...I'm boring you aren't I..actually-" Suhana began

"no it's not that...your perception of kids is different from what I'd have thought...people think kids are a waste of time, come in the way of careers and success..." Ayaan broke off

"absolutely now, I love kids and I love my job because I meet new kids all the time...always stay in touch with the innocence and love they bring with them...why would people find them a waste of time, that's a bit extreme...I mean look at yourself you find time from your work to spend time with kids..." Suhana said, both had reached the canteen.

"Ayaan bhaiya apki thali tayar hai, serve kardo," asked one of the guys

"haan...aur inke liye bhi ek plate serve kar dena," Ayaan said gesturing towards Suhana

Ayaan was aboput to pull out a chair for Suhana but she walked round and sat on the opposite side and Ayaan sat on the chair he was about to pull for her instead.

Two plates of food were served as Ayaan's phone beeped. The screen read "Rohan calling" and Ayaan picked up

"hello"

"Boss problem hai...come to office asap," Rohan said

"kya hua?"

"Mr Mehta ko aaj hi meeting karni hai, woh out of station ja rahe hai two weeks ke liye aur uske badh it'll be too late so meeting meine aaj ke liye fix kardi hai, tum abhi office aa jao ok?" Rohan said.

"what? office abhi?" Ayaan said. He didn't want to go.

"Dude agar kuch emergency hai toh mein manage karlo ga aur tum badh mein paperwork sign kar lena otherwise get yourself here," Rohan replied

"ok...I'm coming," Ayaan replied and put the phone down and looked at Suhana and said ,"hey I have to go...something has come up and..."

"it's ok...it's not a date or something that you can't leave," she smiled,"I'll see you around some other time I guess," Her smile reminded Ayaan of a bright sunny day...it was so radiant and pure to look at, it reached her eyes.

"yeah sure...bye and nice talking to you Dr Suhana," Ayaan said. gathering his things and leaving without having touched the food

"bhaiya kuch toh khalo...acha rookiye mein apke liye tiffin pack kar deti hoon," said the canteen lady, Ayaan tried to refuse but she insisted and packed food for him and Rohan
"app office jaoge aur kaam mein itna wyast (busy) ho jaoge kw khana hi bhool jaoge...apna khayal bilkul nahin rakhte app," she said and Ayaan took the tiffin from her smiling while Suhana watched.
This was an unusual bond between Ayaan and everyone at the hospital, it was like family and she was so happy to see someone find time from their busy lifestyle to come here and spend time.

"iss Mehta ne dimag kharab karke raka hai," Rohaan said as Ayaan entered the cabin.

"abb kya kiya usne?" Ayaan asked.

"he cancelled the bloody meeting, scheduled it for tomorrow as his trip got postponed, we got everything for the meeting done and ready on time, idiot ne poora rhythm hi kharab kar diya...look I even went home and changed into a more formal suit man," exclaimed Rohan angrily. He stared at Ayaan looking annoyed.

"What? mein tumhari is suit mein nazar utaro?" Ayaan replied

"Ayaan was that supposed to be funny?" Rohan asked rhetorically

"arre yaar aaj nahin toh kal meeting ho jayegi...humme kaunse deal sign karni hai Mehta ke saath...tu tension mat le aur kha le...lo khana bhi ah gaya," Ayaan said as a peon bough in the heated tiffin for both

Both friends sat to have lunch.

"waise tum kyun itne hesitant kyun teh office aane ke liye?" Rohan asked stuffing his mouth with food and his anger dissolving immediately

"kuch nahin...bas lunch kar raha tha" Ayaan replied and thought about his small interaction with Suhana...he remember the one time she smiled...it wasn't as though he hadn't seen a more beautiful girl but their was something so pure and innocent and genuine about her that he wanted to carry on meeting her, talking to her...

"Dude uska naam kya hai?" Rohan asked

"Suhana" Ayaan replied still in a trance

The piece of roti fell out of Rohan's hand "Dude you were with a girl?" Rohan said and Ayaan came back from his trance

"huh?" Ayaan replied

AWESOME Update again...i am in HarshIni dreamland😍

Suhana seems a chatter box...& i really loved her dialogue :- it's ok...it's not a date or something that you can't leave...

TYPICAL Suhana wala dialogue🤣

I also loved those little thoughts going in Ayaan's mind about Suhana like, is she getting bored with me?

coz i didnt read this last night...now I cant ignore Rohan coz in the previous scene he was on the phone but here he is having a full-fledged scene wid Ayaan!😆
