Chapter 5:

She was talking with her friends when all the lights suddenly went off and a knowingly smile appeared on the faces of Mohan's.

A song began playing and there was a spotlight on a girl wearing a black sari standing with her back towards Neil and Neeti.

Shakti turned around and took small steps towards her sister and jeejs while singing the song. Neeti was shocked to see her at first. She couldn't believe her eyes. Her mouth was hanging open seeing the view in front of her.

Finally with the last link Shakti reached them. With her index finger she closed her sister's now wide-open mouth, smiled at her jeejs and took Neeti into a bone crashing hug. Neeti returned the hug almost at the same time.

Both the sisters were so happy to see the other after such a long time. They couldn't believe that this was really happening. After a long hug, she hugged her jeejs next and congratulated the pair again.

'Why didn't you tell me that you're coming?' asked Neeti.

'Because I wanted to surprise you.'

'That's no reason. You know..'

'Shush! I missed you too!'

Neeti again hugged her.

'Btw, you don't sing that bad. Consolation prize toh jeet hi jaaogi in some competition.'

'Thank you jeejs. I am happy koi toh mera talent samajh paya!'

And they all laughed. Shakti then hugged her mom and dad, whom she was not able to meet before. The party again began with much more enthusiasm this time and the family shared some special moments.

After some time, the three sisters excused themselves and appeared back with a big cake. Neeti and Neil cut the cake together and everyone enjoyed.

'Don't you think the party is becoming bore?' asked Mukti.

'Chal fir, dikha dete hain sabko apna rang!'

And the two disappeared grinning widely.

The two appeared again welcomed by darkness and a spotlight! :P

P.s - It was a long one. At least, longer than my usual. I don't know anything about such party's. So, don't comment on the dance part. It's a talented family, so dance toh banta tha boss!
