This is an OS taking place in the MU phase
Khushi, excitedly : Jiji, even I was thinking the same thing.But I thought you would find it difficult to leave Akashji, so i didnt say anything.
Payal, laughing, : Pagli !!! Come on let's tell di about it
They both go to the sitting room to Anjali and tell her about the plan.
Anjali : Yes, surely you must go. Stay there tomorrow and come back the day after. They must be missing both of you so much.
Khushi and Payal walk excitedly to their rooms.
Arnav is sitting typing on his laptop. Khushi comes in skipping happily, murmuring, "I ve to ask amma to prepare puris. I so love her puris"
Arnav, distractedly : What are you murmuring about??
Khushi, makes a face at him : Nothing you would be intersted in. Anyway I am going to see amma n babuji tomorrow. I ll come back only the day after.
Arnav, relieved : That's great !! I ll have my room all to myself. And I can sleep in peace. Do me a favour, go today itself
Khushi : How I wish I could go today itself. Even I ll have peace of mind for a day, without you always around me
Arnav's phone starts to ring and he walks away.
The next day morning, Arnav wakes up to find Khushi getting ready. She s combing her hair. He watches her put her managalsutra, her sindoor. He s mesmerised by her freshness so early in the morning. She gets up turns to him
Khushi : "You're awake. I am going. See you tomorrow"
ARnav :" Wait. How are you going."
Khushi: "Oh.. Akash jiju's dropping us. I guess it would be very difficult from him to stay away from jiji, unlike certain others"
Arnav, mockingly : "Oh, so you want me to miss you"
Khushi, winks at him : "Maybe you've become so used to me that you might just miss me"
Khushi runs away from there
Arnav, shouts at her retreating form, : " In your dreams Khushi Kumari Gupta"
Khushi shouts back,running : " .. Singh Raizada!!!"
Khushi and Payal reach home. They are greeted by buaji.
Buaji, tearfully : " Payaliya, you have put on weight. And you sanka devi, you re glowing. So happy for both of you. tumhe kisiki buri nazar na lage"
Khushi : "Oh buaji, dont cry. Where s amma n babuji. Are my puris ready?"
Arnav is getting ready for office
Arnav : "Khushi, I am leaving . If you want to come with me, hurry up. "
He suddenly realizes that Khushi is not there.
He looks at himself in the mirror and says " Unbelieveable"
Khushi is sitting on the table happily eating puris.
Amma : Khushi, how are they
Khushi: As great as ever amma. Arnavji, would you like some more "
Khushi asks absentmindedly
Buaji smiles
Buaji : "Looks like Arnav bitwa s entranced our sanka devi"
Khushi's startled at herself
Arnav reaches office. Its lunch time. He absently looks down.
Arnav, mutters : " Where s Khushi. I am feeling hungry"
Dabbawala, who has just entered hears him, : Saab, today your wife's on leave. Here's your lunch and Khushi maam asked me to tell you that the mithai is without sugar and that you can have them"
Arnav : "Did she call you? "
Dabbawala : " Oh yes. She s called me atleast 5 times since morning."
Dabbawala leaves
Arnav, angrily, : " That girl. She can call him up 5 times, and me not even once"
By evening, Khushi is starting to feel Arnav's absence even more strongly. She hardly pays attention to what her family are talking.
Khushi to herself : " I cant believe it. I mocked him about him missing me. And looks like I am the one missing him "
Arnav drives back home through Khushi's house. He stops near her house and looks in trying to catch a glimpse of her. He brightens up when he sees her talking to the neighbours.
Neighbour aunty : "Khushi biitiya. How are you? Do you have any good news for us. Will we see a small Khushi runnig about soon??"
Khushi, shocked : "What the !! No no auntiji."
And she turns away from them,
Khushi mutters to herself, " Children?? and that too with Laad Governor?? No way. The first words Laad Governor's child would say would be "WHAT THE"
Khushi suddenly looks up to see Arnav in his car.
KHushi, to herself: " Hey Devi Maiyya. What's happening to me. I am now seeing that laad governor everywhere."
She blinks twice and pinches herself hard. Then she realizes that it is indeed Arnav there and not her imagination. Without thinking, she runs upto him and smiles
Khushi : : " You?"
Arnav : "Ya me..."
Khushi incredulously : " You came to see me"
Arnav : " dont even think about it Khushi. I came to meet the mechanic. I saw him. Im going."
Saying this Arnav drives off, with a dumb founded Khushi staring after him.
Later in the evening,
Payal : "Amma, do you mind if myself and Khushi go back today"
Amma: "Of course not bitiya."
Payal : "Then I ll call up Akash and ask him to pick us up"
Khushi : "But jiji.."
Amma: "Hush.. Khushi.. your Jiji's right. Newly weds shouldnt stay apart for too long"
Akash comes to pick them up.They reach RM. Akash follows Payal to their room
Akash :" What happened Payal. You said you would come only tomorrow. Why the sudden change of plan?? missed me??"
Payal, laughingly : " I missed you, but the reason for my change of plans where Arnavji and Khushi. Khushi seemed to miss him too much and when I saw Arnavji. come to our house and sneaking glances at her, I decided to cut short the visit for their sake. They both are so madly in love with each other."
Khushi runs to her room.
Khushi : "Surprise Surprise!!!"
Arnav looks up :" What the"
KHushi : See I ve come back"
Arnav, smirks : " So you were not able to stay away drom me. Missed me, huh??"
Khushi, : "In your dreams Arnav Singh Raizada. Jiji wanted to come back for Jiju. That s the reason. "
That night as Khushi and Arnav slept on their sides of the bed respectively, they both smiled to themselves glad to be in the comfort and blissfulness they found in each other's presence.
