Arnav is in a very hot soup now!

Buying an expensive phone for Khushi was definitely not the right move.
I am waiting to see how they make up now.

Hi everyone!! Finished this chapter early so I decided to post it. Last chapter all of you were angry at Arnav for his anger. I just wanted to show the normal problems couples have when they come from different backgrounds. They sometimes dont understand the other point of view easily. Also I wanted them to remain in character because as we all know Arnav is emotionally damaged and we will see more of that further in the story.
CHAPTER 7

Khushi wiped a stray tear from the corner of her eye before pasting on a fake smile for her family. The mehndi specialists' were now putting henna on everyone. She quietly sat down next to Payal, preparing herself to spend an evening of acting happy when she was so upset inside.

She was immensely relieved when they left the Raizada household, wanting nothing more to just go home and make some delicious, sweet, loyal jalebies. Really jalebie was a girl's best friend, they didn't judge, never got mad instead they brought you pleasure every time you ate them. Unlike some people who only knew how to shout at people.

She had hoped that Arnav would have approached her sometime during her stay at the his house but he hadn't come down once. Now it was nearing 11 o'clock at night and Khushi was mournfully munching on her last batch of jalebies, having been banned from making any more from Buaji and Amma before they went to sleep. She was too upset to come to bed hence sitting in the dark all alone.

After she came home and her mind had cleared a bit from the jalebie making, she had realized her mistake in the argument as well. She was too rude, too harsh with him. She should have just accepted the gift. She realized that buying a gift that expensive was like buying a toy phone for Arnav Singh Raizada. Their definitions of expensive were entirely different and now she saw how he must have been hurt by her rejection of the gift. In fact, now his action seemed so thoughtful and sweet. She knew he had trouble saying sorry like everyone else and understood that it his way of apologizing for his past mistakes.

After her recognition of her mistake, she had called him two times and both times he hadn't picked up his phone. This was the main reason of her current mood. He had no right to ignore her like that. After all he was in the wrong as well regarding the argument. He should not have yelled and insulted her like that. Just then her dad's phone which lying on the dining table, vibrated signalling that it had a new message. She frowned and picked it up, checking to see who would message so late. She gaped when she read what it said: Come outside rite now, your Raakshas.

She got up and quickly went to the window to see him leaning against his car. He inclined his head when he saw her looking. Khushi was feeling panicked now, not knowing what to do. Well, she knew she wanted to go meet him but what if someone woke up. She decided to be brave and face everything head-on. She put on her shoes, taking a peek to check herself in the mirror before going outside to meet him.

He straightened up when she neared him, indicating her to get in the car. She looked over her shoulder at her house, worried that someone might see them. She shook her emphatically at him.

"No I cant. What if someone wakes up to find me gone? What will happen then."

"So what do you propose we do?" She thought for a moment before an idea struck her. She grabbed Arnav's hand and hastily dragged him behind her to the other street. She kept walking until she reached an empty space at the end with an enormous tree in the middle of it. The tree looked really old, its roots hanging to the ground and it's trunk was nearly 5 feet wide. She stood under it, softly stroking the branches with a smile on her face.

"Aapko pata hai? Hum jab bhi yahan aate hain toh I feel very peaceful. Who knows what it has witnessed and what secrets it holds inside" Arnav watched her as he wondered how someone so childish at times could say such profound things. Khushi turned to face him with a deep breath, knowing she had to start the conversation sometime.

"I called you. Why didn't you pick up my phone?"

"My battery died and by the time I saw your calls I didn't want to talk on the phone after the argument we had. I wanted to come meet you." He replied earnestly. After this all her remaining anger melted away.

"Arnav I … what I am trying to say is that… I am sorry." He looked shocked by her apology but she hurried to continue before he could interrupt her.

"I should have accepted the gift. Also I should never have accused you of buying my forgiveness because I know you wouldn't do that to me. I trust you to not do that. And I also realize now that our interpretations of spending money are on two different levels. So I am really very very sorry. Please say that you will forgive me. Although I do think that you shouldn't have spoken to me like that but-"

"Sshhh…." He placed his finger on her lips to stop her from talking. She stared at him surprised for a second before trying to talk around his finger once again. He gave her pointed look.

"Sshhh…. Khushi. Mujhe bhi kuch bolne do gi tum? Ab mein apni finger tab hataao ga jab tum waada karo gi ke tum chup ho ke meri baat suno gi. Okay?" She rolled her eyes but nodded nonetheless. As promised he removed his finger from her mouth and said what he had come to say.

"Khushi.." he started in soft voice, then looked away and stuffed his hands inside his pockets. He sighed and tried again. He was so not good at this sorry business. She watched in amusement as he struggled awkwardly, for the first time witnessing the great ASR less than confident.

"Khushi, after you left, I realized that you were right. I understand why you didn't take the phone even if I don't like it. I should never ever have spoken to you like that. I was the one who decided that we won't bring up our past and … I just messed up. I let my anger get the best of me."

He then cupped her face with his hands, looking deeply into her eyes with his own which were shining with sincerity.

"Sorry" He whispered then sweetly kissed her forehead. Her eyes closed and she hugged him tightly around the waist, her head resting on his chest. He brought his arms around her, resting his head on top of hers. They stayed wrapped in each other's arms for many minutes, savouring the moment.

Finally, she brought her face up, looking into his eyes. He watched transfixed as she leaned on her tiptoes to kiss him softly, moving her lips against his tentatively at first but then getting surer. She pulled away too soon.

"Humein ab chalna chahiyen." (I should go now). She moved to pull away from him but he tightened his arms around her. She looked surprisingly at him to see him shaking his head.

"No. Not yet"

"But-" he put his finger on her lips once again and leaned close so that he was only a breath away from her mouth.

"I said not yet" with that he crashed his mouth against hers, effectively driving any protests Khushi had out of her mind. She moaned as his tongue asked to deepen the kiss, opening her mouth to his ministrations. They moved their tongues against each other, their lips moving in an ancient dance. He buried his hand in her soft hair, the other going around her waist to pull her even closer. He groaned throatily as the movement caused her to brush against his arousal, which was now very obvious and he dwelled deeper into her mouth. Her heart thundered in her chest as she felt him against her stomach, breaking away to catch her breath. He watched as her chest rose in tandem with her erratic breaths, drawing his attention to the delectable hint of cleavage visible from her shirt. He leaned down to bite her earlobe, placing hot kisses down her neck. He sucked hard when he reached the swell of her breast visible before disappearing inside her shirt. She craned her head back with a whimper, grabbing his shoulders for support when her legs threatened to give out on her. He tightened his arms around her, lifting her up and automatically wrapped her legs around his waist, his lips once again seeking hers.

As they kissed passionately, he walked them forward, leaning her back against the tree. She felt as if her whole body was on fire and she felt restlessness in her lower stomach causing her to fidget against him. He growled when her centre brushed against his bulge, pulling back to look in her eyes. She shivered at the lust apparent in his darkened orbs, watching as he brought his hand from her waist to her chest. It hovered above her right breast, Arnav glancing at Khushi to make sure it was alright with her. She closed her eyes in compliance, gasping when his hand cupped her breast for the first. He kissed her collarbone and pulse point, gently moving his thumb to brush her nipple. It instantly became hard under his touch, she moaned out loud when he pressed his thumb firmly against it. One of her hands raked through Arnav's hair, causing him to groan at the feeling of her nails against his scalp. He kissed her hard on her mouth, his hand on her breast moving in rhythm with the kiss. They were completely oblivious to world until a loud bark from nearby returned them to their sense.

They looked at each other as they tried to catch their breaths, Khushi's legs still wrapped around his waist with him holding her above the ground. He quickly lowered to the ground after realizing the position of their bodies.

Khushi fixed herself in a haphazard way, all of sudden feeling embarrassed and shy. She couldn't meet his eyes after what had happened.

"Khushi… look at me" He said in a gentle tone, beseeching her. She shook her head from side to side, her hands fidgeting with the ends of shirt. He sighed, moving closer to her and holding her chin to make her look into his eyes. He could see she was feeling very confused right now, all of this a new experience for her. He tenderly stroked her cheek with his other hand in a calming action.

"Talk to me. Whats wrong?" If it was one thing he couldn't stand beside her tears was her silence.

"Arnav woh… hamare liye yeh sab kuch naya hai. Isse pehle kabhi…. I have never had these feelings before aur … I just don't…" she fumbled a bit with what she was trying to say, not knowing how to put her tumultuous feelings into words. She stared at his encouraging eyes and tried again.

"Kya yeh theek hai? Is this right?"

He slowly turned her body the other way so that his chest was to her back. Slowly, with featherlike fingers, he stroked his hand on the length of her bare arm. Goosebumps erupted at his touch and a tingly feeling shot up from her arm through her entire body. Her eyes were closed when his lips came near her ear.

"What do you feel when I touch you? Does it feel right?" Breathing shallowly, she nodded her head. He placed a kiss on her shoulder, rubbing the side of his face against her cheek.

"What we feel for each other Khushi is right. Don't care about what other people will think, or say. Just feel." Khushi opened her eyes, turning her head to see him. He gazed at her with an expression that caused her whole body to burn. She nodded once again. He gave her a small smile, stepping away from her to put some distance between them. He held out his hand for her and she took it with a smile. Together they walked back to her house.

He smiled as she blew him a kiss before disappearing inside her house. He got in his car and just drove for while letting his mind wander. He didn't feel like going home just yet. He wanted relish in this feeling of light hearted that he was experiencing for the first time since darkness had taken hold of his life.

If looks could kill, there would be two dead bodies right there in the middle of Aakash and Payal's wedding ceremony. Those idiotic bas***ds, they are hovering around her like servants. Arnav grabbed a glass of drink from the waiter drowning it one gulp as NK yet again screeched in an annoying voice, Oh Khushi ji you are soo funny.

Arnav couldn't understand why, at his own house of all places, that Chiku was annoying him like a thorn at his side. Both NK and Chiku had not given up any opportunity to chat with Khushi, to divert her attention. This made Arnav very pissed off. So pissed off that he was sure Khushi could feel the glare of anger from the distance, as she was shooting him apologizing glances every few minutes.

It was that Chiku and NK that should feel sorry if he had it his own way. Finally, someone called Khushi and she was able to break away from those salivating morons. He threw a last glare at their direction before going to go talk to one of his business associates.

She laughed quietly when she remembered the expression on Arnav's face when she was talking to NK and Chiku. Both of them had gotten along splendidly as she had imagined and had given her great company. Unfortunately, it seems her sadu laad governer didn't like that too much.

She searched for napkins in the kitchen, a kid having spilled juice on Buaji's clothes. Someone held them out to her and she looked up to meet with familiar hazel eyes.

"Arre aap? Aap yahan kya kar rahein hain?" (Oh it's you? What are you doing here?) She asked while taking the napkins from him.

"Kyun? Kisi aur ko expect kar rahi thi." (Why? Were you expecting someone else) He asked teasingly but then his expression darkened.

"Maybe you were expecting that Chiku and idiot NK." He crossed his arms and frowned at the thought. She suppressed a smile at his reaction deciding to have some fun with him. She moved to the counter to drink some water talking along the way.

"Arre haan. How did you know?" she asked him with a completely innocent expression. Arnav turned towards her swiftly, glowering at her.

"Kya?!" At his shout, it was too much for her and she burst out laughing. He stared at her bewildered for a minute before realizing that he had been played. He scowled at her.

"I didn't find that very funny." Her chuckles eventually died down and she saw his sour expression. She stepped forward, placing a hand on his shoulder and looking him in the eye.

"Kyun aap jealous the kya?"( Why? Were you jealous?) He shot her a disgruntled frown and turned away from her.

"What! Of course not." She smiled watching him before squealing excitedly. "Aww you were jealous! So cute!"

He turned towards her, affronted at her remark.

"I am not cute! Devilishly handsome definitely, dashing may be but never cute." She shook her head at his ego and arrogance.

"Ok so maybe I should go find someone who doesn't mind me calling them cute. Perhaps Nanhe ji." She turned slightly to make a show of leaving when he grabbed her arm and pulled her firmly against him. She balanced herself on his chest, staring at him with a teasing eyes.

"Don't you dare. I will show you cute." He growled and with he crashed his mouth against hers. Her surprised gasp allowed him to explore her mouth right away. He then proceeded to demonstrate to her in length how "cute" he could be.

I feel so awkward writing these kissing scenes, they just never live up to my expectations. I want to create the same chemistry they have with each on screen with my words and I am just never completely satisfied with it. Please tell me if it was okay.
