Vidya that was an amazing piece nd I was just discussing with hubby dearest that It was good that Baby Falak moved on as she will now be at peace. I mean if she had survived, her quality of life would have been very poor and she has no one to take care of her. But then she got no justice nd to think of what the little one has gone thru in 2 years...

I never even heard of Baby Falak since Im a Tamil-Canadian. But having just read the article, I feel like this world didn't deserve an angel. Poor soul must have suffered a lot and I humbly beg GOD that she may be in a better place and happy.

As for the OS, it was truly magnificent. It was truly touching and I actually cried and still crying. It was absolutely beautiful and Im glad that at least Avni had a chance at a happy life.

Its sad to know that Baby Falak and numerous children out there don't get the same blessing. But having people like you Vidya who care, now that makes this world bearable 😳

I had tears in my eyes while reading this OS. In my opinion, it is one of your best pieces, yet. 😊 I didn't find it disjointed at all...I have a special place in my heart for babies & children, especially those who come to us through adoption. Children need loving bodies; biological or not is insignificant.

I too question the existence of God, goodness & justice on days like this one. I can only hope baby Falak is in a better place among the stars, smiling down on us in her angelic glory...

Truly a moving tribute, Vidhya...thank you so much for sharing it with us!

maxine i cried when i pisked up TOI today the first thing in the morning...

i dint now you kept track of news here...when i was reading i had this weird sick feeling in my tummy about how this story reminds me of falak and what happened to her...

i feel sick at times, living in so much comfort in the same city where such atrocities happen...babies abused and abandoned, human trafficking galore..women raped with police doing nothing...sometimes i lose hope for this country.:(

i wish falak rests in peace...i hope she goes to a better world where she gets her due...she is the perfect example of a life being prematurely crushed, future that could have been, dreams she might have had, thinngs she might have done...im crazy i cant stop crying and i dont know what has come over me,

your OS was amazing.

I just read about Baby Falak. I was shocked after reading it, I didn't people who can do such a thing actually exist in the world.

It's so nice of you to dedicate this OS to her.

I loved this OS too. Very sweet.
