I've decided it then. I will re-start this FF. I won't be getting this thread closed because I'll probably use it to keep you guys updated on my progress with the new FF.

As for when I will update, I really don't know. Believe me when I say I have a shitload to study for. And this on-a-hiatus-from-IF thing is workin out really well for me because I've been doing really well in tests and stuff!

So it's official now. There will be no more updates on this thread and I will start posting the new FF as soon as I have a chapter bank of at least 10 chapters.

I will PM everyone in my buddy list and PM account about this note and then make a new PM account where you guys can add it for PMs on updates. The current one will be for ArHi only. So don't delete me just yet, wait till I send PMs!


And I've heard that there's some problem while PM-ing links for newbies so I'll have to work around that but yeah.

Wait for my PM for the proper confirmation and everything! Ie typed this note from my iPhone so it's not very organized! :)

26th August 2012 - Sunday

I've decided on the name for the FF, say yay! LOL. The name will be *drum roll* Ricochet.

There are a couple of reasons why I chose the name. Ricochet means to rebound, to bounce back from a surface with a characteristic sound and impact. We usually use the word while talking about bullets. Apart from this meaning there's another meaning that appealed to me and that is: In old French, Ricochet means to give and take. Both these meanings kind of connect with the story, at least for me!

The story will be completely from Riddhima's PoV although I am planning interludes with Armaan's PoV. Say, after every 5 chapters in Riddhima's PoV, we have 1 in Armaan's. I decided to choose this because the story is essentially Riddhima-centric. Its about her doubts, her insecurities etc.

Also also alsooo. I'm done writing the Prologue of the story! Yeah yeah I can see your jaws hanging open but I had free time yesterday so I've written the prologue and a bit of chapter 1 as well! :D The Prologue isn't big though, just about 350 words 😆 But I like the way its come out 😳

... Because that's what it really boils down to, doesn't it? That one look, that one smile, that one wave, that one ordinary moment that overwhelms you in ways you don't want to comprehend and you're left hiding behind whatever little of that wall you have left, but then you find yourself looking, smiling, waving back and it hits you square in the face that the walls are gone and so is the armor and your life isn't yours anymore. All because an ordinary person, no more special than you, came into your life, crawled their way in (and really, when the fcuk did that happen?) and did something stupidly, monotonously normal and you realize it then; wow, I love him. ...

Its not the whole thing, just mine (and Jojo's) favorite lines :D

The title! Wow!! Where the hell do you get these words from? I have never ever heard these words! Have you by any chance eaten up the whole oxford dictionary? 🤣
The prologue was just amazing!! I was smiling while reading and that smile hasn't left my face yet!
This has brought excitement in me!! I just can't wait any longer!! I just hope you get lots of free time and you are able to complete another 3-4 chapters so that the bank of 10 chapters doesn't take long!
Looking forward to the next sneak peak.. Hopefully that progress report will also give an amazing news like this did! <3
