Chapter 5 so close yet so far
"Congrats kria, that was awsum, first day first date, not bad" neha tized as she made her way to me. I blushed a bit remembering his gorgeous face and got back to my answer
"Come on neha it's a scientific movie" I tried reasoning.
"kria, I don't think you should go, I mean those people are not trust worthy, no one's ever been with them" prithvi said walking towards me, but I was stern, I so wanted to go with him.
"Come on prithvi, it's just a movie, and as far as I know he's not interested in dating right" I said as I looked over at varya to see her expressions, it was a mix of jealousy and hatred. She saw me looking at her and straightened her face.
"Your right, I don't think he'll even consider going with you" she said sarcastically but as soon as she noticed me glaring at her she covered up "I mean, they don't date as you said, but if he goes then good luck with your date" she smiled and I gave a fake smile in return.As we headed towards the canteen.
Rudra, Shaurya and Shravan were already there while we entered, so were they but he wasn't there, my eyes started searching for him as we moved towards rudra. As always I had to sit next to shravan or should I say he made it mandatory for me 2 sit next to him as all the other chairs were full, what a flirt I though and smiled to myself. As soon as he saw me he got up and gave a side friendly hug, to which I responded
"Where is my Vicky" neha asked
"Chill neha he's gone to get some notes, are we so boring" rudra asked as she was tizing her.
"No not at all rudra, just missing him" neha blushed.
"awww, that's so cute neha" rudra said cutely.
"It's so girly" prithivi said sarcastically.
"Shut up joker" rudra ignored him.
"So how was your first class, tell me all about it?" shravan grinned.
"Quite good actually, rajiv sir started off with introduction, he's not like those typical boring sir's" I said as he giggled.
"So someone already has a crush on him" he tried taunting me.
"No, it's just that he's different" I assured him.
"I did tell you, our college is not so bad if you're in good company" he said praising himself, pushing his collar up. I was about to reply when I heard a soft musical voice call my name
"kria" his voice was familiar by then, I could feel his presence right behind me, I dint have to turn to see who it was coz I knew but I was so willing to see his face that I quickly turned, and saw he standing right there, I stood up, I was lost in admiring his perfect face and that's when he continued
"Can we talk" he asked, I couldn't read his expressions...he then saw shravan besides me and I could see the similar hatred I had seen in shravan's eyes.
"ya sure" I quicky replied, as he walked away and stood near the canteen entrance. I looked at shravan as I saw him glaring at reyansh. I was confused why so much hatred, I then looked around to see others and found prithvi and shaurya also glaring towards him, rudra looked at me as if asking what's going on, I gave a confused look asif I didn't know why he was calling me and varya as usual was glaring at me which I tried to ignore. On the contrary neha looked quite normal.
"I'll be right back" I excused myself and went towards him, but I could still sense all of them glaring at him rather us.
"Hey" his musical voice said. He had a slight smile, which made my day and his eyes were as always carefully stuck to mine I just loved it, when he looked at me that way.
'hi" I said with a bit of blush.
"I wanted to talk about the movie thing, I uhhh...you can take my ticket, I don't think I can make it..." he said pausing a bit after each sentence. I was hurt, my face turned serious, I didn't expect this instead I was expecting him to pick me up.
"Then why did you even tell all those things about me, you could have made us lose" I questioned trying to figure out what he actually wants.
"I don't think I need to give you an answer" he said sarcastically his eyes were still careful
"Fine then" I was very disappointed this was not good, I felt rejected as I turned to join my friends.
"Listen" he said he voice was enough to stop me and turn me around, but I was still hurt so I preferred not to look into his eyes.
"I am sorry, my intentions are not to hurt you" he was honest; I was relieved; he did care a bit atleast, as I looked up our eyes met. I could see pure concern in his eyes. Our eye contact was making me go weak but I tried to control myself.
"Why don't you understand" he pressed his words on me, he had a worried look all over his face.
"Then make me understand, come with me" I insisted, trying to convince him. I so wanted him to come.
"it's just that, we shouldn't be spending time together, you don't even know me, you've just met me today, I am a stranger, you shouldn't trust me so easily" he explained but all that while he was looking around, asif he was saying something he didn't want to, his words were piercing into my ears, they were having the perfect effect on me. As soon as he finished I couldn't stop myself.
"I trust you" I immediately said trying to calm him down, he looked at me and his face went calm, he was happy to see me trust him I guess, my eyes were full on trust which somewhere or the other I knew he would never break and how do I tell him that I know him from the past 1 week; he is like a regular visitor in my dreams.
"I mean, you knowing something about me that even my best friend doesn't, how does that make you a stranger" I tried reasoning, or more over trying to convince him to come with me.
"Look you don't get it do you, just stay away from me" he strained his words on me, his face was full of aggression, I could see his eyes burning with anger, I was scared for a moment. He then walked away as he placed the ticket on a nearby table and walked away. I was angry more over hurt, why did he do this to me, more over cursing myself on being so affected by his words. I took a deep breath turned around as I picked up the ticket and I walked back to my friends as they were all set to pounce on me with their questions. I figured out varya had told them everything that happened, all they wanted to know was why did he call me separately.
"What did he say?" shaurya asked, that was the first time he had directly talked to me.
"Nothing much, just wanted to cancel coming with me" I replied.
"Good he did it, or else we would have" shravan said, asif having the authority to do so, but I didn't say anything.
Before anyone else could say anything the bell rang and we walked towards our classes, it wasn't the same as drishka and reyansh were not present. I wondered did I have anything to do with it but later ignored my thought accepting the fact that I wasn't important for him. My head started aching badly, just waiting for the day to end I left a sigh of relief as soon as the bell rang and we left. While on our way out I had already asked neha to join me for the movie and she pleasantly agreed. She was really a good friend. Neha was as usual chatting about her day asif I was invisible the whole time, that I didn't know what all had happened, I tried pretending as if I was listening but I actually wasn't. We reached the parking area; all of them were present over there.
Shaurya was all set in his bike to leave.
He gave a quick bye to all and left, and disappeared in his bike.
I looked around as I found shravan and Vicky sitting in a beautiful yellow jeep it was like we used to see in adventurous movies.

Prithvi soon jumped in and joined them.
While Rudra was leaning onto the bonnet of a beautiful red beetle.
I was amazed to see their cars, it had all bright colors. I wondered why rudra called reyansh and his friends rich, while they themselves were so rich. Varya went over and got in the driver's seat.
"I am driving" she said as rudra gave her a nod handing her the keys and then turned towards us.
"So hectic day huh" she said.
"Yup the English lec was really boring" I frowned. As neha mad her way towards her bf.
"hehehe... it's okay, come I'll drop you home" she said n guided me towards her beetle.
"No I mean I'll go with neha, she's brought her bike" I immediately said not wanting any favors. It was not that I didn't trust rudra we had become really good friends, but it was too much for the first day itself.
"Let's give that couple a bit privacy" she said looking over at neha and Vicky, I was a bit embarrassed as to take her lift, but she quickly noticed my expressions and said "moreover aren't we friends now" she made a puppy dog face to which I couldn't resist laughing.
"Okay" I agreed as shravan distracted and stood with us.
"What's gossip about, ohh let me guess, makeup stuff" he smirked as we glared at him.
"Okay okay am sorry" he immediately changed his voice tone.
"There goes a heroic entry and a not so heroic exit" prithvi said said it in a funny way making us laugh, as I looked around that's when I saw one of them it was Aryaan he was leaning onto his bike.
As soon as he noticed me he glared at me, did reyansh talk about me I wondered, his glare lasted for about 10 seconds which was enough to get me scared. I then saw his girlfriend aliya and her brother the long haired guy walking towards them. I guess his name was swayam. They were talking for about 5 minutes but mostly non-verbally. Why don't they act normal at times?
Later Aryaan got into his bike and rode off, this time not looking at me. I was relieved.

They didn't see my or maybe they pretended not seeing me but after 2 second I saw swayam looking at me with a slight smile. Why was he smiling at me? But soon aliya started the engine and they were out of sight in no time. I came back to earth asin where my friends were. Neha walked towards me and I understood I should give some privacy to laila and majnu as rudra said earlier.
"Neha you go with Vicky, Rudra's leaving me" I said before her saying.
"But kria we'll go together, Vicky will go with Shravan" neha tried reasoning.
"Come on neha, I am your best friend don't I know you, you haven't even spent any time with him, take this opportunity coz I am not going to allow this every day, I am not a saint you know" I warned her and later we burst out laughing.
"kria you're the best" he hugged me.
"I know that" I said with pride "go now, your majnu is waiting" I said looking towards Vicky.
varya hit the horn trying to show that they were getting late. Rudra told prithvi to go with varya so that she could come with me. Neha waved as she and Vicky left, and soon after me, rudra and shravan left in their yellow jeep.
