The Ultimate Happiness
Rey had never been happier before. Over the last fortnight his life had taken unexpected turns so many times that he was finding it very hard to digest it. He had fallen in love at first sight, but had to work hard to get in her heart but when he finally succeeded in making her fall in love thinking that life could never be perfect a villain in the form of her mother entered their lives disrupting it - he felt so. Then his love broke his heart and he lived under the impression of a rejected lover but then the letter came out telling that he wasn't a rejected person but the most cherished person in someone's life. He wasn't a lost lover but he was truly a beloved for someone. He felt of bringing this happiness in her life also and went to pursue his love. He felt even if they didn't unite at least he could make her life misery-ridden as far as possible. He started living for her thinking of ways to bring happiness in her life as her secret well-wisher. He felt that his life had found a meaning and that it was perfect in a way that though he was away from his soulmate but their hearts were together. But then he came to know that this wasn't his life. A perfect life was actually awaiting for him with his love and this hearty news was bestowed by the villain no correction the "previous villain" and now the acceptor of their love - her mother. It surely became a perfect one when he came to know that she was already accepted by his family.
As he came from balcony after gaping at the stars and the beautiful moon and analyzing his life he sat on his bed thinking that if converted his life would actually make a good novel or a spicy movie. Just the perfect ending was left of the ultimate reunion of the lovers which he had already planned but it wasn't gonna be the usual sitting on the knees and proposing but he had already imagined that it was gonna be perfect in their own way - the way they had always been and it was well justified to bring the closure in that way only. He felt it was correct as they were yet to confess their love to each other though they had done in their hearts but he wanted that each one should know what they actually meant in each other's life and he felt that this could only be done with another meet or more correctly a "confrontation".
R: So miss baatcutter tumne yeh toh prove kar diya ki tum mujhse bahut pyaar karti ho bas ab yeh tumhe mujhse kehna padega and mind it this time main pehle ki tarah wait nhi karunga. Main tumse kehlvake hi rhunga that u love me. You know i am The Reyansh Singhania ' the dude, the charmer, the getter. Maine jo chaha hai woh mujhe hamesha hi mila hain and maine toh iss baar tumhe chaha hai aur sabse zyada chaha hai and fir tum mujhe na milo aisa thodi na hone dunga. Nah, now thats not possible love. You have to become mine in the end - get that fact. (looks up) Kriya ke Universeji plz meri help kar dena. Iss baar meri rep ka sawal hai. Aakhir mujhe bhi toh prove karna hai ki Reyansh Singhania ko woh sab milta hai jo woh chahta hai..
He lies on the bed thinking how a sudden change in his attitude was brought.
Flashback:
He had just got off the phone after talking to Swayam and informing him about the sudden turn of events. Swayam was very happy that his friend's life had finally come on the right track. The track was set and just they had to bust up the engine by igniting it so that it could start running on the full speed without any further fueling. It could be said that soon his steam engine of his life would turn into a non-stop electrical engine as soon as it starts running but the putting into the ignition that was the problem. In less words convincing Kriya was going to be one heck of a job especially making her confess. This time he had a new team - grans, Smriti, Sonia, Rahul, Neelima. Well not a team in true sense but supporter would be the correct word to say as this was a one-man fight.
They had got together in Rey's house and Rey's face was making it evident that he was nervous not b'coz everyone had surrounded him but b'coz he had to make Kriya fall again or just provide air to the already burning stones of love in her heart. Well this was going to be a one humungous task as these burning stones were surrounded by so many layers that it wasn't that easy to get it and who knew it better other than Rey who had already crossed such layers for making her fall but this time it was gonna be difficult b'coz she was way too determined to push him away from her with all her might not paying any heed to the pain it caused her. This was difficult b'coz previously it was just he had to make her fall for him and then make her say it but this time it was fighting the resistances and the barriers she had put up around her and she no longer cared whether it was the happiness that was awaiting for her and fighting her resistance that was a indeed a BIG task.
R: (mumbling) Kya karun. Hope sab kuch theek ho jaaye...
Sm: beta i am sorry yeh sab meri vajah se ho rha hai...
R: Nhi aunty its okay. Plz aap sorry mat kahiye na. Aap mujhe apna beta maanti hain na, so plz mat kariye aisa...
Sm: nhi main tujhe apna beta nhi maanti (sternly)
Every1: What???
Sm: Well agar yeh mera beta huya toh then technically yeh Kriya ka bhai huya. Kyun Rey theek hai... Agar tumhe koi problem nhi hai so (controlling her smile)
R: (shouts) Nhi!!! Aunty fir main aapka beta nhi. Plz aisa mat kehna.
Every1 starts laughing.
Sm: beta chill of course tu mera beta hai. But kriya ka bhai nhi...
G: smriti kyun uski taang kheech rhi ho. Already woh itna tensed hain... (turning to Rey) Rey toh kya socha tune. Kaise manane vala hai tu use.
N: mujhe toh yeh samajh nhi aa rha ki itna sab krne ki kya zarurat hai..
Ra: exactly!! Matlab smriti ne toh permission dedi hai na toh seedhe-2 jaake bol do na use...
Sm: well yahi toh problem hai. Agar use bol diya toh woh vaapas nhi jayegi kyunki woh yahi sochegi ki woh Rey ko kaise face kregi. Use yeh thodi na pata hai ki Rey ko sab pata hai. Speaking of which Rey beta aapko kaise pata chala tha iske bare mein on the first place?
R: woh actually uske letter ke through..
Sm: Kya??? Matlab usne fir se jhuth bola main... (rey cuts in middle)
R: aunty puri baat sunlo.. Woh letter college ki filon ke saath mere paas aa gaya. I think so woh use kisi aur cheez mein rakhna chahti hogi but galati se college ke documents mein rakha gaya hoga. Aunty plz iss baat ke liye maaf kar dena and plz mujhe reject mat karna plz (and he mumbles away apologies.)
Sm: shaant!!! Main aisa kuch nhi krungi. Use toh yeh bhi nhi pata ki letter tumhare paas hai. Pata nhi kitne dinon se use dhundh rhi hai. Har din ghar ka naksha bigaad deti hai use dhundhne ke chakkar mein. Abhi bhi i am sure agar ghar jaungi toh pura ghar aisa lagega maano tufaan aaya ho...
So: Chalo chodo yeh batao ki directly Rey use kyun nhi bol deta ki use sach pata hai. Problem solved!!!!
R: par fir woh guilty feel karegi ki usne mujhe woh sab bola and sochegi ki woh mujhe deserve nhi karti. (gets up and moves in opp. Direction with his back towards them) Pata nhi chhoti si cheez ko itna bada bana deti hai. Bade matters toh itne lightly leti hai lekin chhote matters ko itna bada bana deti hai. (he turns while saying) after all they are g... (but then sees them eyeing and he stops) ..i mean woh isse itne asaani se nhi bhulayegi..
G: toh ab kya karega. Tu abhi apne dost se baat kar rha tha na...
R: haan swayam ne toh pehle yahi kaha ki use directly bata dun lekin jab maine use complications batayi then he said to apply the reverse psychology fir se but thoda change kar ke..
Sm: fir se matlab?? Isse pehle bhi use ki hai kya kisis aur pe..
R: kisi aur pe nhi usi pe... (scratching his head)
So: Rey thoda toh batao na apni lovestory ke bare mein i mean kab kaise kahan sab kuch. (eyeing smriti) zyada detail main nhi matlab..
Sm: (senses every1's eyes on her) haan Rey kareeban thoda mujhe bhi toh pata chale tumhari lovestory ke bare mein ki kaise tumne uss jhalli ko thoda girlish behave krna sikha diya (smiles). I know ki use patana itna asaan nhi rha hoga but tum toh Reyaansh Singhania hona. Ladkiyan tumpe marti hain. Pata nhi tumhe usse kaise pyaar ho gaya. I mean am sure ki use tumse pehle pyaar huya hoga but she resisted it. Hona bhi chahiye aakhir ho hi tum itne handsome, dashing, smart boy(laughs).
Rey couldn't help just grin as he wasn't sure that it was a taunt or compliment. Every1 laughs seeing his expression.
G: sach mein batao na kaise pataya tune use ya usne tujhe as tum donon hi apne aap mein unique ho..
Rey the tells him how he fell in love, how they fought, slap, friends and more than friends. Then he stops. Every1 looks at him expectedly thinking he would continue further.
So: aur??????
R: kya aur!!!!! (confused)
Ra: hamara matlab hain ruk kyun gaye aage ki kahaani batao..
R: bas itna hi...
Every1: what?????? (and they start laughing)
Smriti was the one laughing hardly. She comes near him and pats on his head.
S: sahi mein tumhe jhuth bolne ki zarurat nhi. I mean u can tell apni lovestory. Maine tumhe acceptance dedi hai.
R: aunty bass itni hai...
S: common don't joke. Matlab tum the hottie, meri beti se pyaar karne lage woh bhi love at first sight and then tumne use pure saal pursue kiya and uske haan ke liye itna sab kiya and u didn't even look at other girls.
R (scratching his head): haan!!!!
Smriti is flabbergasted. Why??? Becoz she thought just the opposite that Kriya was the one who fell in love first and she pursued him and not the vice-versa.
S: am really sorry Rey!!
R: aunty ab kya huya...
S: I mean maine sahi mein tumhe samajhne mein galti kar di. I mean mujhe laga ki tum un college boys ki tarah ho jo har din ek nayi ladki ke saath dikhte. U know the typical Casanova. I mean sahi mein agar maine tumhe Casanova kaha toh yeh toh ya tumhari insult hogi ya fir iss word ko bahut bada promotion mil gaya.
R: what!!! Aap aisa samajhti thi. Baatcutter bhi yahi samajhti thi. Kitni mushkil se woh convince ho paayi thi ki main aisa nhi hun jaisa woh sochti hun.
G: Baatcutter???
R: haan main use baatcutter bulata hun. Woh mujhe apni baat puri nhi krne deti and most of the time hyper-active mode pe chali jaati hai. And...
Smriti eyes him and he shuts up..
Sm: well sahi kaha woh bachpan se aisi hi hai.
Ra:Iss baat ko chodo par yeh batao "acche dost se zyada" yeh kaunsa status huya.
So: Haan I mean jis tarah se tum baat kar he the mujhe laga tum usse pyaar karte ho..
R: yeh kaisi baat kr rhi ho di. Of course I love her.
Ra: toh bola kyun nhi..
R: agar seedhe-2 bol deta na jahan tak story aayi hai vahan tak bhi nhi pahuch paati. Pata hai kitni mehnat krni padi thi use convince krne mein. Hamesha apni feelings ko daba deti hai and..
Sm: apni baton se saamne walon ko chup karva deti hain kyunki woh use bolne ka mauka hi nhi deti hain. Haina?? (eyes Rey and he nods like a small kid. Pauses.) But fir bhi Rey ek cheez toh manni padegi tum logon ki lovestry bahut slow hain i mean agar main interrupt nhi bhi karti na toh pata nhi tum donon ek-dusre ko kab bolte ki tum donon actually kya feel krte ho.
N: shayad jb 30-35 ke ho jaate tab..
Every1 laughs and Rey has no idea what to do whether to laugh or be sad. After sometime he leaves the room and smriti follows him.
Sm: (puts her hand on his shoulder) dekho beta tum donon ek-dusre se pyaar krte ho. Jaake use keh do na. I mean not as this Rey. (rey confused) mera matlab hai tum ho toh cool dude ho na jispe ladkiyan marti hain. Just bring that form to make her confess. Swayam ne sahi kaha tumhe reverse psychology thoda alag tarah se lagaani padegi. Woh apne aap toh bolne se rhi and ab toh woh aur bhi kregi chahe ismein uski khushi kyun na ho.
R: aap sach mein yeh kehna chah rhe ho ki main apna woh avatar istemaal karun jispe ladkiyan marti hain. Lekin kriya kbhi nhi..
Sm: dekho woh ladki hai plus woh tumse pyaar krti hain. Just show her that if she lets u go she is committing the biggest mistake.
R: aunty aap jaante ho woh aise hi jaane degi mujhe...
Sm: u r getting it wrong beta. Woh nhi khegi that's for sure and iss baar usse bulvana pehle se bhi zyada kathin hoga yeh tum bhi jaante ho. Am saying just show her that Reyaansh Singhania jispe saari ladkiyan marti hain and woh bhi. Woh possessive hain she would either not face u and avoid u or ya fir woh tumse baat kregi jismein se pehla option zyada probable hain.
Rey gets her and instantly a plan emerges in his mind a perfect plan that was full-proof.
R (hugs Smriti. Smriti is taken aback): thank u aunty. Mujhe pata chal gaya main use kaise kehlvake rhunga. Pehle socha tha ki use propose krunga u know ek-dum filmy but nahi this time she would be the one who would say it first and woh bhi apne-aap. Aakhirkaar am The Reyaansh Singhania and koi bhi ladki mere iss form ko zyada der tak resist nhi kar sakti and baatcutter ke case mein woh isse zyada der tak seh nhi sakti. She is way too possessive for it and ek second mein jealous ho jaati hain. Thanks mom. (realises what he said) am sorr...
Sm: its okay tum mujhe mom bula sakte ho. And jitni madad main tumhari kar rhi hun utni toh maine apni beti ki bhi nhi ki. (laughs) Chalo lets make this interesting kyun na bet lagate hain. ( Rey confused). I mean tumne plan bana liya hai na. (Rey nods). So i challenge u ki tum usse kal tak confess karvake dikhao uske baad karvaya toh it doesn't count. If u win then tum jab chaho usse mil sakte ho without even my permission i mean any time bina chhabilal bane ( Rey embarrassed) but if u lose then tumhe mujhse hamesha puchna padega before meeting her and main na bhi keh sakti hun and yeh mat sochna ki main tumhari madad kar rhi hun toh iske baad bhi utni hi acchi bani rhungi matlab mujhe apni reputation bhi toh banaye rkhni hai.
R: Challenge accepted. And Reyaansh Singhani kbhi haarta nhi hain.
Sm: We will see. (smiles and then shakes hands.)
Rey: So miss Kriya ghai just be ready kal tum hamesha ke liye forever miss baatcutter nahi.. meri baatcutter ban jaogi.
He sees her pic in the mobile kisses it and goes back to sleep contented with his plan and determined to get it completed

Ghai Residence (Morning):
Smriti was preparing herself for the task that Rey had given to her. She had assured Rey that she would manage but she was a little doubtful herself but she cudn't tell in front of Rey who was creating havoc there at his house.
Rey had already told the basics of the plan to Smriti as she would be the one completing the first and the most important step. Rey was fully assured that his plan would work out flawlessly. The humungous task was to convince Kriya. For this he needed Smriti. Smriti also agreed without any hesitation as this would bring a smile at Kriya's face. If that goes well then everything was a piece of cake he was sure about it. After the last one year he could have easily written a thesis on Kriya's moods. Smriti was also convinced that plan would work.
Smriti reassured Rey who was getting out of his mind thinking Kriya wouldn't agree that she would convince Kriya but at the same time was a little bit skeptical about it. Leaving everything aside the she prepared herself for the convincing that had to follow.
S: Kriya beta utho. Its 8...
K: ma plz thodi der aur sone do na...
S:no ways. Tum picchle ek ghante se yehi bol rhi ho. Chalo go get fresh tab tak main nashta lagati hun..
Kriya goes to freshen up while smriti sets up the table and prepares herself for the upcoming event.
K: maa bhuk lagi hai!!!!
S: haan yeh lo..
She gives her food and then sits besides her. Kriya senses that something was cooking up as her mother was constantly fidgeting. She prepares hersself for a shock but then she remembers that now nothing could affect her.
K: ma kya huyaa??? Aap aise kyun baithe ho...
S: Kriya woh actually mujhe tujhse kuch...
K: haan bolo na ma...
S:kal jab hum orphanage gaye the na. I realised something..
K: kya huya ma...
S: beta i want u to start dancing again. Main tujhe nhi rokungi..
Kriya almost spills the food out of her mouth. She could not digest the fact. Smriti smiles inwardly seeing her face. She so wanted to tell her even about Rey but she didn't as she had agreed with Rey on the fact that dher saari khush se pehle thoda dukh zaruri hota hai as issi se humein uski true value pata chalti hai.
K: kya ma????
S: haan tumne sahi suna. Kal jab mein vahan gayi thi and jab maine aunty, rahul, sonia and Mrs. Singhania se baat ki so they made me realise that ki main tumhare saath galat kar rhi thi. I mean dekho maine tumhe dance se issliye roka kyunki tumhare andar jo uske liye junoon tha mujhe darr tha kahin woh tumpe haavi an ho jaye and iske chalte tum koi galat faisla na lelo jisse tumhara future na barbaad ho jaaye. Lekin last year mein tumne yeh prove kara ki tum donon cheezein manage kar sakti ho. Dekho abhi tak jo tumne acheive kiya usmein ek darr tha lekin ab main chahti hun ki tum uss darr ke bina ki mujhe pata chal jayega isse kai zyada acheive karo. And jab tum apne pure mann ke saath kaam karogi toh am sure u wud acheive pinnacles of success.
Kriya was speechless. Her mother was giving her the permission to live in her dream no live in a dream which was supposed to be her life till last year but now which was empty becoz he was not there. Till last year it was her ultimate desire that could light up her world due to her burning need for it. She could go to any extent for it. But now it was dark and bleak. The light from her dream was no longer available rather it couldn't light up her life becoz the power of doing it laid in the hands of someone else. She so desperately wanted to share this with him, but alas she couldn't as she had distanced herself from him. A distance which could not be travelled now but little did she know that the distance had already been covered and a small step was left for it which she had to intake. But still she couldn't hide the pain that she felt becoz of that empty desire to share it with him.
Smriti saw that she was lost. She did expect that but she was still cliging to the hope that this news would lighten her up but no. She had understood it long back and this confirmed that her light was Rey and he could only bring it back. Smriti then decided to execute next part of the plan.
Sm: lagta hain tumhe vishwas nhi huya iss baat ka and i think tumne mujhe iss baat ke liye maaf nhi kiya ki maine tumhe dance karne se roka. Tum abhi bhi mujhse gussa ho. Main hun hi itni buri..
Kriya came back to reality and saw that her mother was blaming herself. She couldn't allow that.
K: Kisne kaha aap buri ho. Aap toh duniya ki best mom ho. And maaf karne ki baat toh woh aapne sahi kaha main aapko maaf nhi kar sakti.
S:(shocked) Kya????
K (controls her laugh but then breaks off): ab main gussa thi hi nhi toh aapko maaf kaise karun...
S: so tu khush hai na bata...
Kriya shows fake smile to cover up the lack of enthusiasm to the news. Smriti senses that though she was happy but she wasn't fully happy. She feels sad. She wanted to chide her for lying to her again but then she controls it and the saves it for future when she could easily scold her for hiding her pain. Kriya breaks her thoughts.
K: ma kahan kho gayi. Off course main khush hun... (dramatically) Aapko mujh pe vishvas nhi hain kya.
S: Hai na beta lekin fir bhi kbhie-2 lagta hai tu bhut dukhi hai batati nhi hai..
K: Nhi ma aisa kuch nhi hai...
S: accha theek hai lekin tumhe ek baat manni padegi tbhi main samjhungi that u r happy..
K: yeh toh blackmail hai... chalo theek hai..
S: u have to go to a party. Here's the pass. Mrs. Singhania ka grandson tumhe pick karne aane wala the lekin use kuch kaam aa gaya. He wud directly meet u there. Tension mat lo woh tumhe pehchaan lega. Just go and enjoy there.. okay. (she speaks in one go not allowing kriya to protest)
K (shocked): maa par mujhe parties pasand nhi hai.. and aap mujhe bhej rhe ho??
S: betaji close ur mouth. And haan i want u to enjoy. And agar tumne mana kiya then main samjhungi tumne mujhe maaf nhi kiya... (makes a fake angry face)
K: okay ma...
S: yeh lo (gives her credit card)jaake koi acchi dress khareed lo. If u don't want it theek hai but iske baad kuch maangna mat...
K: no ma i wud take it.. (grabs it)
Kriya was getting shocks of her life continuously. She sensed something was wrong lekin the happiness at her mother's face cleared her doubts about that..

Evening. At the club.
Rey was instructing every1 about the party. He was wearing a dress similar to that he wore in Shivam's party. He wanted everything to turn out to be perfect plus Smriti had set up some ground rules for him to follow which he intended to do. He remembered the convo:
S: dekho maine use bhej diya hai. Sab kuch ho gaya na.
R: mom aap tension mat lo. Use manana imp. tha jo aapne bahut acche se kar diya. Can't believe ki aapne use emotional blackmail kiya aise. Wish main wahan hota dekhne ke liye.
S: beta thoda sabra rakho..
R: sab.. what??
S: bhagwaan aajkal ke bacche. Have patience beta. Kal se if ur plan works out tum sab dekh paoge ki kitni blackmaling hoti hain. Thode din mein tum bhi usmein shamil ho jaoge. Tumhari daadi and kriya toh sabse zyada karti hai. Have patience.
R: okay. Chalo bye.
S: rey hold on...
R: haan...
S: see rey main tumhare plan mein saath se rhi hun lekin i want to set some ground rules:
1. She shudn't drink. Agar mujhe pata chala that she did drink then am telling u mujhse bura koi nhi hoga tumhare liye.
2. Plz thoda uspe nazar rkhna. I mean zyada gusse mein aa gayi toh woh kuch ulta-seedha na kar baithe. So just keep an eye on her.
Rey was abt to say something. But smriti cuts in b/w.
S: i know tumhari nazar sirf usi pe rhegi am just saying thoda uske aas-paas bhi nazar rkhna. U know woh gusse bhut impulsively act kr deti hai..
R: tension mat lijiye. Woh puri tarah theek rhegi.. i promise..
He had strictly instructed every1 not to serve any alcoholic drink to her. He then took a last look over the club and he had planned everything on where he was supposed to stay so that he cud keep an eye on her. He smiled to himself and once again patted himself for such a good plan. Though he was sure that everything would turn out to be perfect but then also he prayed to Universeji to help him.

The party started around 7. It was an exclusive and a lavish party. One of the best parties that had been organized in the city. Every1 wanted to go. Kriya also reached there. She was wearing a beautiful red dress. Boys who saw her couldn't take off their eyes from her. Every1 was excited to go to the party. Kriya got an entry as she had the pass. The club was amazingly set up for the party. No one could remain untouched by the aura. It was the perfect place for partying at the same time hang out with friends. The dance floor was bursting with life. But Kriya couldn't enjoy it. She had come just for her mother. No one approached her calling out her by her name so she assumed that the grandson was not there. Though she found 2-3 of her friends but they were busy checking out the party. Kriya on the other hand was feeling out of the place as the party reminded her of Shivam's party and how she had come there just for Rey. Unknowingly a smile crept upon her face but soon it vanished as she was pulled back to the harsh reality that they were no longer together. She was feeling lonely among the huge crowd. How she wished to just go back to the meadow dance her heart out so that she could get temporarily get rid of some of her pain. Yes temporarily as she knew that the pain was having a permanent resident in her heart. It could only be removed if she was with Rey and that was impossible.
K: (to herself) Kriya yeh sab sochna band kar de. Jo ho nhi sakta uske bare mein kyun sochna. Yeh sab teri galti thi ki tu uske pyaar mein padi.
But her heart screamed as she told the biggest lie to herself. Though it was her mistake to fall in love with me but it was a mistake that she would love to do again and would risk everything for it . A thing she never regretted in her life. The only thing she regretted was her life becoz she broke someone's heart. No not broke she crushed it. Someone for whom she would do anything.
K: I have to stop thinking about it. Maine woh raasta chuna hai and ab main peeche nhi mud sakti.
She was lost in herself and she never realised that her sweet mistake was standing there and observing her. When she had entered in the party he had seen her and was completely smitten by her. If he had not been in love beforehand he would have surely fallen for her now seeing her wearing such a beautiful dress with that angelic face which under normal circumstances would have a worn a glow that he would kill for. He saw her but felt like someone was torturing him in his heaven as the sadness was imprinted on her face. Oh! How he wished to go to her, console her, hug her, dance with her, talk to her and remove sadness from her life. Then he came back to the reality and then he cursed himself for thinking of the plan he was so proud of until minutes ago before her entry. He knew that a part of his plan was to give her more sadness. He somehow mustered up the courage to execute his plan as he could not fall weak now.
Rey looked over her and a muttered a "sorry" to her and then made a grand entry to the party. When he entered the party the lights went dim, Kriya stiffened and soon the spotlight was over Rey who came down from the stage. Before Kriya could get a glimpse of him girls surrounded him. Kriya shrugged away and again went to her own world of self-brooding. The same feeling that had crept in her when she had visited the orphanage started hovering over her but she brushed it aside. But soon she was forced to reality as the crowd of girls started chanting solemnly "Rey".
Kriya stood rooted to the place. She could not believe what she was hearing. She felt a sudden rush within her. A rush she felt when he was close to her. Her heartbeat increased. She suspected that he was there. Though she wanted to believe it badly but her mind didn't allow her to do so giving her all the reasons in the world. Wanting to put an end to all her speculations she turned towards where the girls were standing. Every single figment of her body hoped that he wasn't there but also clinging to the possibility of him being there. And then she saw him. The person who she had missed like hell, who had made it impossible for her to live her life becoz he was no longer a part of it and the one whose smile could make her day and whose sweetness and caring attitude she yearned to experience was standing in front of her. She so wanted to go and hug him, ask for his forgiveness for breaking his heart and experience the ultimate pleasure of dancing with him, yes the ultimate pleasure b'coz now dance didn't give her pleasure but dancing with him gave her the happiness she couldn't define. The mere sight of him had eased her off of half of her pain and the glow was coming back.
Rey was standing there surrounded by the girls but his mind was surrounded by only one who stood there in front of her. The pain going of was visible on her face. He was cursing himself for not doing this before as he was witnessing that how deeply he affected her that his mere sight was washing her off of her sadness. He stood there pretending to not to look at her but thru the corner of his eyes he was constantly glaring her and noticing her every action.
Kriya so wanted to go to him but she stopped herself as she thought that her going in front would only open his wounds. She thought that she would just stand there admiring him and having her happiness. Meanwhile Rey started his work. He came at a distance that she could hear him. He started flirting with the girls surrounding him.
G1: Hey rey thanks for throwing such a wonderful party.
G2: yeah Rey its going to be the bestest party ever.
R: Of course it would be. After all these arrangements have been done for all u beauties to enjoy.
Kriya ws seeing them. Though a spark of jealousy was coming in her heart but she controlled it. She calmed herself stating that she no longer had the right to get jealous. Rey saw that it wasn't working. He grudgingly took it to the next level. He grabbed a random girl from his side and started whispering something to which that girl could only smile and blush in response. Kriya stiffened. He tried to calm herself and in the process used her hands and rey saw that and was glad his plan was working. Then to add icing to a cake, a sexy gal came to Rey and placed a kiss on his cheeks. Rey also smiled. Kriya saw this and a current of jealousy rode through her body.
R: Hey beautiful!!!! U r looking gorgeous. Haven't ever seen u around here.
G: Well b'coz am new in town..
R: well makes sense as a gal like u staying here that had not been gone unnoticed by me.
G: well that does make sense..
Kriya meanwhile shifted uncomfortably. Rey was looking in her direction and it seemed like she was invisible to him. She stood up and changed her seating position such that if anyone was standing at Rey's place he would have easily seen her. Rey sensed her intention. Finally the plan was working. She was reacting in the way they had planned. As soon as she changed place he turned sideways so that he could see her and she couldn't catch him seein her. The gal placed her advances and she started opening Rey's jacket buttons. Rey was taken aback but played along.
Kriya on the other hand was burning red in jealousy. All the soothing she was trying to do till now was not working now. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. The person for whom she had cried for the half of the last month was standing there flirting with random gals, and not seeing her. Tears were forming in he eyes. She started questioning herself about she being a normal gal for him. The special relationship they shared was that true or a whole facade.
Rey saw the change in expression. The anger in her eyes was now getting replaced with doubt filled with sadness. He realised that she was questioning the past time they had spent together. He knew that she was breaking up. He just had to completely shatter her. But then he saw her going to drinks counter. The attendant signalled him that she was asking for alcohol. When he refused her she went on insisting. Rey sensing trouble went to the centre stage. Every1 turned towards him, but kriya didn't.
R: hello guys. Am reyaansh Singhania. Hope u r having fun. Well i have found a beautiful gal here. Her innocence, sweetness and her beauty are breathtaking. Looks like i have fallen in love. (every1 hooted. Kriya turned towards him instantly). I would like to ask her for a dance. Wish me luck guys.
Rey got down and he headed towards where Kriya was sitting. It seemed like to her the past 15 days didn't exist and they were where they had left their relationship. A glimmer of happiness was evident in her eyes. Rey saw that. He so desperately wanted to go there and turn that glimmer into a beam but then he walked determiningly. The gal was standing in front of the counter where Kriya was sitting. A little distance was there. He forwarded his hand. Kriya also raised her hand meaning to take it but the she realised that the hand was meant for that gal. She stood there shocked. Tears were ready to come out of her eyes anytime if she blinked even a little. Rey cursed himself for doing so. He performed a small salsa piece with her and ended in the pose. He slowly lifted her up so they were standing straight. Kriya saw that. She remembered their dances. Rey saw her lost face. He knew this was the perfect time. He cursed himself and asked for her forgiveness and looking in the gal's eyes he said, "You r the best dancing partner i ever had."
That was enough. Kriya couldn't take the torment anymore. She was so sure that all the memories she had were special for her and not for him. She was just a random girl for him. She broke and went outside leaving her mobile. Rey knew that this was the perfect opportunity. He had already known that she wud leave but leaving her mobile she had made things easier for him. The only problem in his plan was how he was gonna approach her when she left the place. Yes he was sure about it that she was gonna leave the place. He had planned it perfectly. He quickly excused himself grabbed her mobile before any1 else could do and quickly made an exit and ran following her.

Outside the club.
It was silent. Every1 was inside enjoying and the outer place was deserted. Kriya thanked her Universeji for that and continued walking. She had seen enough. Her tears were running unstopped and her silent sobs were turning into loud ones. Rey was continuously following her cursing himself for doing that to her. She then came to a stop and sat under a tree crying.
K: Universeji aapne aisa kyun kiya? Kyun laaye unhe meri zindagi jab aapko pata tha ki main unke liye koi maine nhi rakhti. Meri hi galti thi ki maine unhe pne itna paas aane diya. Unki toh aadat hai na logon ke dilon ke saath khelne ki. Kyun par main hi kyun??
Rey was there listening to her. He couldn't bear those allegations. How dare she was questioning his love. But he controlled himself as he knew she was just facing a turmoil within her.
K: Universeji aisa mere saath kyun hota hain. Mera dil kyun toda aapne aise ki ab woh kbhi theek nhi ho sakta.
Rey decided to come out.
R: Tumhare saath wahi huya jo tum deserve karti thi.
K (shocked. Gets up): Aa.. Aap yahan kya kar rhe ho. Mujhe follow kar rhe ho..
R: Plz mere pass use bhi acche kaam hai. Main toh tumhe tumhara phone lautane aaya tha. Tumhare "Acche dost" Swayam ka phone aaya tha na. Use tum se kuch kaam tha.
K: Aapko mera mobile kaise mila.
R: Tum vahan chod ke aa gayi thi. Issliye dene aa gaya.
K(takes it) : Thanks.
R: Its okay. (pauses) Vaise yeh mere matlab ki toh baat nhi hai lekin fir bhi puch rha hun ki tum vaapas ka baa rhi ho. Woh tumhare dost tumhe bahut yaad karte hain..
K: (slightly) Aur aap!!
R (hears it. Thinks main toh tumhe hamesha yaad karta hun) : main kyun karunga. Y do u even expect it? U know used ki huyi cheezon ko jab chod diya jaata haina toh unse kuch hope nhi karna chahiye. Vaise bhi tumhara accha dost Swayam hai na tumhe yaad karne ke liye and tumhari team bhi hai..
K: main nhi aa rhi...
R: what!! Well mujhe sun ke tajjub nhi huya. It was expected. Aakhir tumhe tumhara sapna toh mil gaya na famous hone ka and as expected tum toh unhe chod hi dogi. Well it wasn't that surprising u know.
R: (Kriya just turns away. Her tears are flowing away) u know muh modne se sacchai nhi badal jayegi. Maan lo u r a complete fake.
K: ( couldn't control herself) main fake hun. Fake toh aap ho Mr. Reyaansh Singhania. U know main bevakuf thi jo aapko accha samjha. Aapke liye itna bura feel kiya itne din.
R: Tumne mere liye tears bahaye. Oh plz isse bada joke koi aur nhi ho sakta.
K: Nhi manna toh mat maano. (just turns and goes)
R: Agar tumne mere liye sach mein tears bahaye toh yeh bhi batati jao itni meharbaani kyun mere upar. I mean main toh tumhari dosti ke kaabil bhi nhi hun. And kya tum apne universeji se keh rhi thi ki maine tumhare saath kiya. Jo tumne mere saath kiya uska koi jawab hai tumhare paas. Maine toh hamesha apni true feeling tumse share ki.
K: True feelings. Ya right!!! Plz mujhe yeh bata dijiye ki aapko kitni baar pyaar huya hai, and aap yeh line kitni baar baaki ladkiyon pe istemaal kar chuke hain ki u r my "best dancing partner".
R: Kitni baar bhi karun tumhe isse kya.
K: Mujhe isse kya? Aap aisa puch bhi kaise sakte hain..
R: Kyun tumne hi toh kaha tha ki tum mujhse pyaar nhi karti. Main tumhare layak nhi hun. And haan yeh sab filmy hai.
K: Maine jhuth kaha tha.
R: Accha. Toh sach kya hai...
Kriya is silent.
R: dekha koi jawab nhi. Kyunki yahi sach hain..
K: Sach... sach sunna chahte hain. Toh suniye. Uss din mine aapse zindagi ka sabse bada jhuth kaha tha. Haan mujhe swayam jaisa dost chahiye aap jaise nhi kyunki aap mere liye dost nhi dost se zyada ho. Aap mere liye sab kuch ho. Main aapko hurt nhi kar sakti issliye maine woh sab kaha tha. Lekin mujhe kya pata tha ki aapke liye woh sab kuch nhi hai.
Kriya turns to leave. Rey holds her.
R: Kyun nhi hurt kar sakti.
K : Becoz I Love u. Sun liya aapne main aapse pyaar krti hun. (Rey is so happy to hear it) Main bhi aapki un ladkiyon ki list mein aa gayi hun jo aapse pyar karti hain.
R: (shocked at her assumption) U have no idea what r u saying.
K: Mujhe acche se pata hai main kya keh rhi hun. Maine uss din jhuth bola kyunki mom ne mere saamne shart rkhi ki perform krne ke baad mujhe aap ko aur dance ko chodna padega. Mujhe laga ki aap isse hurt hoge issliye maine aapse jhuth kaha tha ki aap mujhe hate karo. Lekin looks like ki mujhe toh iski zarurat nhi thi. Aap toh already bahut aage badh chuke ho. U fell in love once again. U found a new dancing partner. Mere liye toh aapke dil main jagah hi nhi thi.
R: (pulls her towards him) Baatcutter pata hai tum bahut zyada bolti ho. Lekin tum kuch bhi sochti ho. Tumhe kya lagta hai ki tumhari jagah meri zindagi mein koi le sakta hai. So get this straight. Iska jawab hamesha na rhega. Tum meri best dancing partner ho. And overall tum meri zindagi ho. Bhale hi tum mujhse dur chali jao mujhse nafrat karo leki main woh main kbhi nhi kar sakta. Do u know y ? (kriya shakes her head like a child sayig no) Becoz i love u. Main tumse tab se pyaar karta hun jab se maine tumhe dekha hain and hamesha karta rhunga. Club mein maine jo kaha uss samay tum mere dil mein thi. Maine woh sab issliye kaha kyunki main tumhare muh se yeh sunna chahta tha. Tumhara jo letter tha na woh tumhare universeji ne mujh tak pahucha diya kyunki woh bhi tumhe aise nhi dekh sakte.
K: Lekin hum saath nhi ho sakte. Mom ...
R: tumhari mom ko maine mana liya hai. Tumhe kya lagta hai achanak se tumhe dance ki permission kaise mil gayi and tum iss party mein kaise aa gayi. And haan main hun Mrs Singhania ka grandson Reyaansh Singhania.
K: Kya sach mein...
R: baatcutter tumhe sach baaton mein believe karne mein itni problem kyun hoti hai. Jhuth toh kitni asaani se believe kar deti do. Yes I love u.
K: I love U too.
And then they hug releasing all their pains and moving towards happiness.
