Sneha- hello Shakti?... where are you?... we are waiting at the main entrance.

Shakti- haan Sneha…. I'm stuck in traffic…. I'll be there in 10min.

Sneha- hurry…. We are as it is late…. The movie is starting.

Shakti- oh ok…. Fine then…. Leave the ticket at the counter, I'll collect it from there…. You guys go in.

Sneha- are you sure?... we can wait…. No problem.

Shakti- no no…. go in…. so at least you guys can gimme a review of the beginning.

Sneha- (laughs) ok…. Come soon.

Shakti- yup

She hung up and entered the parking lot of the multiplex…. But there was a big queue of cars ahead of her…. She banged the steering.

Shakti- Damn!

Her cell beeped….. she quickly checked it…. Shook her head and smiled.

[] Amar- I'm waiting outside with the tickets.

Luckily she found a parking spot and she hurried to the multiplex.

She saw him waiting patiently leaning his shoulder on the door of the main entrance…. He saw her and grinned…. Just then some young college girls recognized him and ran to him to talk to him…. Shakti rolled her eyes and stood a little away….. crossed her arms and watched the girls go gaga over him.

Girl 1- we love you, Rey!!!

Girl 2- arre…. what Rey?... his name is Amar.

Amar laughed…. and Shakti grunted.

Girl 1- opps sorry (blushed)

Girl 3- hi Amar…. I'm a big fan…. Can I have a picture with you?

Amar- sure. (smile)

Girl 2- ya me too

Girl 1- me too…. Pls Amar.

Amar- yes definitely.

Shakti rolled her eyes again and muttered.

Shakti- gayi aaj movie.

After a brief photo session…. He looked up at Shakti…. She was still standing there, getting bored…. One of the girls went to her.

Girl 1- hi…. Can you take a picture please.

She handed Shakti the camera and went to stand next to Amar and the other girls….. Shakti frowned…. Looked at the camera and back at them…. Amar shrugged.

But she quietly took 3-4 shots and handed the camera back.

Amar- (to the Girls) hey if you guys don't mind…. Can you click our pic.

He handed his cell to one of them…. went and stood next to Shakti, wrapping his arm around her waist…. Shakti looked at him and smiled.

That's when the girls recognized her.

Girl 2- oh shit!!... that's Shakti, isn't she?

Girl 1- ya ya

Girl 3- wasn't she in New York?

Both Amar and Shakti chuckled.

Amar- excuse me…. Our pic please.

Girl 2- huh?... oh yes…. Sorry. (embarrassed)

She took a pic and handed his phone back.

Girl 1- (to Shakti) we are so sorry…. We couldn't recognize you.

Girl 3- ya extremely sorry.

Shakti- (smile) that's ok, no problem…. (To Amar) chale?

Amar- yup…. (to the girls) bye girls….. have a nice day. (wink)

Girls- (sigh) byeee Amar!!

Shakti laughed and walked in…. it was always amusing to see Amar with his female fans…. And Amar followed her.

They entered the movie hall and found their seats…. She greeted everyone.

Shakti- hi guys…. Hope we dint miss much.

Macci- ruko tumhare liye dobara lagwata hun.

They laughed.

Somebody shushed them from behind and they quietly sat back to watch the movie.

It was dark but Amar could sense her presence beside him…. there was a constant buzz of electric tension between them which he was sure she felt it too…. He looked at her from the corner of his eyes…. she sat stiffly in her seat with her hands in her lap and her jaw clenched tight…. He smiled…. Yes, she did feel it!

He leaned slightly and rested his arm on the arm rest at her side…. She shifted in her seat and crossed her legs…. He leaned a little further towards her, till his shoulder brushed hers…. He felt her stiffen more…. But she dint move away….. he tried to suppress a smile.

He moved back and removed his arm from the arm rest so that she would relax a bit….. after some time he felt her loosen up and enjoy the movie…. He was sure she dint realize when she leaned towards him to rest her arm on the same arm rest….. he stifled an urge to hold her hand…. again he leaned towards her and their shoulders touched…. This time she dint register the touch or maybe she just consciously chose to ignore it….. slowly he put his arm on the arm rest too…. His fingers brushed the back of her hand….. very gently he flipped her hand in his….. and held her hand for some time just enjoying her soft texture in his…. He delicately rubbed his thumb on her wrist, making circular designs all along…. he felt her pulse jump below his thumb and Goosebumps form where he was kneading….. the spark flying between them had definitely intensified…. she stirred in her seat and removed her hand from his, now leaning to the other side, away from him…. He pulled back and shifted to his other side too….. he raked his fingers through his hair and silently cursed himself.

Before they could compose themselves, the lights came on…. Shakti was glad that the interval had come so soon….. she excused herself and went to the washroom…. Alisha joined her.

Alisha- you ok, Shaks?... you seem very jumpy today.

Shakti- (nervous laugh) no Alis…. I'm absolutely fine.

She quickly splashed some water on her face to conceal her blush…. She could still feel the tingle of his touch on her wrist…. She involuntarily rubbed the spot with her other hand…. she blinked and shook her head.

They walked back to the hall….. before she entered, she took a deep breath to cool down a bit.

When they reached her seat, she saw that Anjali had taken her place next to Amar…. She frowned and walked towards them.

Anjali- hey Shakti…. Pls if you don't mind could you take my seat?... I'm feel very cold there…. I have the Ac coming directly on my head….. and I'm coming down with a bad cold.

Shakti looked at Amar before replying.

Shakti- sure….. no problem.

Amar- no wait…. I'll go there…. You sit here.

He tried to get up to give her his seat but Shakti interrupted.

Shakti- don't bother Kunwar... you sit.

And she walked ahead…. Alisha who was sitting next to Shakti first, offered her seat saying that it would be more convenient if they all shifted in….. so now Shakti had to sit next to Anjali.

She heard Anjali request Amar to get her some popcorn….. and Amar, the perfect gentleman that he is, obliged.

Shakti was highly irritated….. chipku!... khud nahi laa sakti hai?... her highness kahin ki.

Amar came back with 4 tubs of popcorn…. He gave one to Anjali and passed the remaining to others…. Shakti smiled…. He was a sweetheart….. he will think of everyone.

The movie began…. But Shakti was no longer paying attention….. her main focus was on Anjali and Amar.

She would watch them from the corner of her eyes from time to time…. Anjali offered him some popcorn which he politely refused…. But she forced him to have some and popped some in his mouth…. Shakti gripped the arm rest, gritting her teeth and looked away….. she tried to concentrate on the movie but each time Anjali made him eat the popcorn, her eyes flew in their direction.

Shakti was fed up and she turned to Anjali.

Shakti- can I have some? (pointing at the tub)

Anjali- oh sure

She handed her the tub and Shakti glared at Amar before she turned back to watch the screen.

Shakti ate some and passed the tub in Alisha's direction, wishing that when it comes back it would be empty….. luckily for her when the tub came back it was nearly empty…. She smiled innocently and handed it back to Anjali.

Shakti- thanks.

She saw Amar turn his face, coving his mouth…. If he is laughing, I'll kill him!!... she glared at him and looked away.

She started to watch the movie…. But yet again, she was distracted….. she glimpsed at them…. She saw the Chipku lean towards him such that their shoulders touched….. Shakti shifted in her seat and crossed her arms, balling her hands in a tight fist…. She saw Anjali slip her hand in Amar's hand that was resting on the Arm rest….. She couldn't believe her eyes…. were they holding hands??!!... Shakti saw her tuck her elbow in the crook of his elbow and lean towards him to rest her head on his shoulder…. F**k!!... this is it!... she turned to look at Amar over Anjali's head.

Amar saw her glare at him…. her eyes fuming with fire…. Crap!!... but he couldn't move…. Anjali had told him, she was feeling dizzy so she wanted to rest her head…. She was feeling cold and had asked him if he could hold her….. but before he could have replied she was already all over him…. he wanted to pull back but she nuzzled closer…. And he definitely dint want to make a scene here….. it was awkward.

He gave her an apologetic look…. but he was sure she would misinterpret his current position with Anjali….hell anybody would, if they saw Anjali clinging to him that way…. She threw a disgusted look at him and turned her attention back at the screen…. Amar helplessly waited for the damn movie to end…. Today was not his lucky day.
