Part 12
Everybody- Hiii Shaktiii!!!!!
Shakti was surprised to see everyone on screen…. Mukti had connected her webcam and laptop to a Lcd so that Shakti could see the entire hall.
Shakti (laughed)- wow!... that's such an awesome surprise…. Hiii guys! (waved out)
Shakti's mom- beta, we just saw your show…. It was brilliant…. We are so proud of you.
Everyone cheered and hooted…. Shakti laughed.
Shakti- (grin) thank you, Maa…. Thanks guys.
Her eyes scanned the entire room…. everyone was present except him…. did he not come?... ya he must be pissed…. We haven't spoken properly in a while….. should I ask them where he is?... nah…. i'll just wait and see what they say.
Shakti- so did you all enjoy the performances?
Macci- no no….. hum sab toh soo gaye the.
Everyone laughed
Alisha- shut up Macci…. (to Shakti) we really enjoyed the show, Shaks…. You were excellent…loved it.
Shakti- (blush) thanks Alis.
Shakti's dad- beta, aap kaise ho?... you seem like you've lost a lot of weight…. Aur aap ki performance bahut hi achhi thi.
Shakti- thank you, papa…. I'm absolutely fine…. bus mom ke haat ka khana nahi milta na (laughs)
Everyone- awww
She was trying to hold back tears…. She was feeling so nostalgic…. She wished she was there with all of them.
All started laughing…. She saw Anjali enter the room.
Anjali- hey….. hi Shakti.
Shakti hadn't expected her to be there…. but since she was a part of D3 now, Shakti knew she had to be invited with others.
Shakti- hi Anjali…. Nice to meet you again. (smile)
Shakti was getting impatient….. she wanted to ask where Amar was…. If this Anjali could come, then why not him?... aisa toh kya kaam aa gaya hoga?... just then she saw Amar and Archie enter the hall from the balcony…. She smiled….. so he did come after all.
Shakti saw that Amar was frowning…. She wondered why... but as soon as he saw her…. He grinned.
Amar- Hiii Shakss.
Shakti- hi Kunwar…. Hi archie
Archie- hey Shakti….. wassup??
Shakti- Good Good
Amar came and sat down on the sofa…. And she noticed Anjali come and stand behind him…. Ignore her Shakti…. Ignore!
Everyone started to ask her one question after another….. she patiently answered them all….. they would laugh as the boys kept cracking jokes in the middle as usual…. They shared some funny incidences with her from the D3 sets…. Everyone was having a good time…. She no longer felt that she was miles away.
She kept stealing glances at Amar from time to time…. He was unusually quiet today….. he would say something in the middle but she felt he was distracted.
Sneha- Shakss…. I loved your duet performance…. It was simply mind blowing…. Amazing chemistry…. You did a great job…. Did you choreograph it?
Shakti looked at Amar…. He shifted uneasily in his seat…. Avoiding to look at her.
Shakti- (to Sneha)- thanks sneha…. No it was all my partner's choreography….. he said he was very attached to this song…. It was the first song he and his wife had ever performed…. So he asked me if I would help him dedicate this performance for his wife.
She looked at Amar with a smile…. He smiled back…. The spark that was missing in his twinkling eyes was back.
Shakti –(continuing) it was their 5th wedding anniversary…. And he wanted to make it special for her.
All the girls- awww that is soo cute…. Such an adorable couple…. Wish we had someone that special in our lives too.
Shakti and Amar stared at each other smiling, while the girls 'ohh'ed and 'aah'ed over the couple…. Amar was so relieved to hear that…. He felt a huge load lift from his head….. Soon Shakti was interrupted by everyone with other set of questions.
They continued to crack their jokes and pulling each other's leg…. Her parents excused themselves giving the kids their privacy to catch up on their fun and masti.
Everybody was lazing around…. Eating…. Roaming here and there…. making Shakti feel at home too.
Anjali came and sat beside Amar…. He felt uncomfortable…. He moved a little away…. He still had to talk to her about what had happened at the balcony some while ago…. But it was not a good idea to talk in front of everybody.
He looked at Shakti, who was talking to Mukti, Kriti, Neeti and laughing at whatever the sisters were sharing…. Her laugh was so warm and infectious, it went straight to his heart.
Tears started to form in his eyes…. oh how much he missed her... even though he was surrounded with all his friends, he felt so lost, so alone, so incomplete….. nothing was the same without her.
He got up and went to the kitchen without anybody noticing him.
Shakti saw him leave the room…. she wondered what was wrong with him?... why was he behaving so aloof today…. He hadn't flirted with anybody today, which was very unlike him…. She wanted to talk to him…. ask him what the matter was…. But she needed the privacy which she knew was not possible today.
Time flew…. She dint realize they were chatting for more than 3 hours…. Amar had come back…. But he was as good as not around…. Shantanu did ask him what was the matter….. Shakti had waited for him to reply but he just shrugged and said he was fine.
Amar felt bad…. He had come to see Shakti enjoy with everyone…. but all he did was mope all the while…. Everyone had asked him once what his problem was…. He did try to mix up…. But today the strange feeling of longing had caught him off guard…. And it was impossible to concentrate.
Finally he was tired…. He was starting to get a headache…. He announced he wanted to go home…. Shakti's eyes were disappointed….. he looked away…. He couldn't bear to see those questioning eyes right now…. He felt vulnerable.
Archie and Shantanu sensed something was wrong and volunteered to leave with him…. but he asked them to stay…. He dint want to spoil their fun…. He quickly said his goodbye to everyone…. Thanked the Mohan sisters for inviting them….. looked at Shakti one last time and left.
Shakti was really starting to get worried….. but she dint know what she could do…. He had already left.
After a while Anjali excused herself, saying it was getting late and she had to go home and she left too.
Amar was walking on the road…. Head hanging…. Hands in his pockets…. He dint know where he was going…. But he surely dint want to go home…. He would sulk all the more if he went home right now.
He heard someone call out his name…. he stopped and turned around to see Anjali running towards him.
Anjali- (panting) hey Kunwar?... kya hua?... tum aise kyun nikal gaye wahan se?
Amar- just…. Late ho raha tha… wanted to go home.
He looked down…. Anjali placed her hands on his cheeks and lifted his head so that she could look into his eyes…. a thin layer of water had formed in those eyes…. She came forward and hugged him.
He put his arms around her waist and held her tightly…. He buried his face in her hair and shed a tear.
PS- ok pls guys marna mat…. I know how u feel after reading this… well, I felt worse after writing it🤢…. Usually I read the part before posting it, but today I had no guts to read dis part again…. i'm heartbroken too.😭
